  2. CrossFit inherently and as a methodology doesn’t encourage heavy, high rep, low rest oly lifts. The workouts that are high rep, high intensity are meant to be done at very submaximal loads. High weight is reserved for strength sessions with lots of rest baked into the session. This is all relative and up to the individual athlete to understand.

    • I remember some video going around years ago showing insane amounts of maybe it was cleans by people with less than perfect form. 🙄

    • @Scottlp2 People do a lot of dumb stuff in all kinds of sports/activities. That’s on those people and not indicative of the sport/activity itself.

      CF has some the most extensive training, certification, and third party evaluated education (ANSI) of any fitness protocol. At a good gym, you have on-ramp or foundational classes where you learn the basics with PVC and then you’re expected and encouraged to use extremely light weights for the next few months.

      If you decide to go to a shitty gym or have an ego trip and out lift everyone – that’s on you.

  6. I wonder if you would ever consider making a video or discussing seafood. I am curious about how to source seafood and which types are the cleanest vs which are the most risky for toxins, algal blooms, etc. There actually isn’t a great deal of information out there about this, as far as I know. Alsoooo, do you have anything to share about chronic fatigue and what people with chronic fatigue should do to improve their energy levels?

    I tried fasting for 16 hours, then had a big meal of chicken, rice, and olive oil, and got extremely tired. I read it could have something to do with the high amount of tryptophane in the chicken? Have you heard of such thing?
