  1. This video and advice came at the perfect time. I’ve been on my weight loss journey since April 2021. Last Thanksgiving I followed my plan and only had a little dessert so no weight gain. But this Thanksgiving I ate more desserts than I should have. It would have been okay if it was one day but I continued for a few days. Of course I gained weight but I am back on track with my healthy eating. Thank you for making me feel better about enjoying the holidays 😊

  3. I was 400lbs dropped to 260 then was stuck no matter the diet. I switched to low carb high protein I don’t say keto because I’m not in ketosis but I do follow it best I can. I’m 225 following your recipes and I did the thanksgiving sides you just posted. My kids loved it. I love your honesty and sincere advice. I do struggle with my fam because I don’t do sugar, rice, potatoes, pastas, tortillas, or bread unless keto. So I have to pick at whatever I think is best or I buy a salad to gatherings. They get upset saying I’m too strict and not happy. It’s a struggle because I end up serving myself a small serving of food so they don’t get offended but then I feel so sad and mad at myself for eating that. Any advice on how to handle unsupportive family members? It’s like they shame me for trying to be healthy.

    • I’m sorry your family makes you feel that way. You need to do what makes you feel good and just don’t mention it to anyone. It’s tough, but you can do it .

    • I literally am considering going on solo mini-vacations for major holidays. Seriously! The REAL 8-cheese Mac n cheeese I had for 4 days?!? We call our generations-old recipe for Mac n cheese “Phenomenon”. It’s hypnotic! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

  5. TYFS! You are so down to earth. Great advice. Special occasions for a day or two isn’t going to ruin months and months of mindful eating.
    Just like you said, get back on track after a couple of days.
    I did feel better getting back on track because what I normally eat now is healthy, but you can bet your bottom dollar I tried EVERYTHING everyone made because all of us are great cooks and it was all SO DELICIOUS!! Lol

  6. I SOOO agree with you! I’ve spent so many holidays ‘worrying’ about the food I was…or wasn’t…going to eat and never truly enjoyed the holiday.
    Even though I’ve put on a few pounds, and know I need to take them off, I will get back on track. (now to convince my doctor of that when I see him in a few weeks!🙃)

  7. Love you girl! I fell WAY OFF back in June and I think I’ve gained back 20 lbs…. back over 200 again 😳 my kids got so sick of me being strict keto that I gave up. Last year at this time I was 170 doing a weight loss challenge. I just need to find a good balance. Thanks for sharing your story!

  10. Thank you for this video. I just ordered from Seed as I have IBS-C. I suffer from constipation and I have to take a stool softener four days a week and psysillium husk almost daily. I need help. I don’t do dairy, or gluten either and limit certain veggies. Hoping this helps.

  11. I deal with the holiday weight after the New Year’s approaches… just can’t pass on the good food with my family and specially feeling left out. 😊 I do the intermittent fasting in the morning hours tho before the good dishes.

    As far as the food – I think we all forget about the after thanksgiving or after Christmas…when there’s good food leftover, there’s candy & sweets. She’s right – you gotta get rid of it / give it away. Good luck leaving all the leftovers with mom

  13. Your right. Keto diet is fun, watching your body transform for the better, is fun, but it’s even more fun to do so with a balanced thinking and attitude. You’ve got it girl. There are special occasions, I am willing to bend for but I do choose to stay with the food allowed on the keto diet. I just don’t count the net carbs. That helps release a bit of that restrictive boundary to enjoy the memory more also. Then when I get back on track, I watch the net carbs as Nescessay. I enjoy your channel, the recipes you create and teach how to make are delicious. Thank you Myra for them. Much appreciated.

  14. But the best thing of all was your keto cheesecake.I have a small family and of course everybody went crazy over that cheesecake. No, I didn’t tell him it was keto or sugar-free nothing they loved it.
