Let's talk about the symptoms of vitamin C deficiency you may have never heard of before.
Commonly known vitamin C deficiency symptoms:
• Bleeding gums
• Fatigue
• Loss of collagen
• Lowered immune system
• Increased risk of biofilms
Vitamins are cofactors that work with enzymes. Without vitamins and certain minerals, important enzymes in the body can't work.
When you're deficient in vitamin C your body will allocate the vitamin C you have to the essential enzymes, but not all of them. A complete lack of vitamin C is fatal.
Lesser-known symptoms of vitamin C deficiency:
• Hypochondria
• Depression
• Perifollicular hyperkeratosis
• Anemia
• Dry hair
• Inflamed veins
• Shortness of breath
• Problems with adrenaline
The best sources of vitamin C are fruits and vegetables. Juice, like apple juice, is not a good source of vitamin C. Juice has too much sugar and is pasteurized, which destroys natural vitamin C.
Foods rich in vitamin C:
• Berries
• Peppers
• Sauerkraut
• Leafy greens

You were listening to me yesterday! I’ve had vertigo for 15 months. Doctors have been no help all r on the other end of Spectrum of keto. So after seeing my lab work I’ve been doing my own research. A lot of it through your videos! This is the conclusion I’ve come to with my CBC panel & hydroxy D results…my vitamin D over the last five years has built up I feel like possibly it’s causing me to have chronic dehydration and possibly because of that a vitamin C deficiency. I’m getting closer I dropped my vitamin D my numbers were 100. I don’t think it’s the vitamin D that’s making me feel off I think it’s causing me to be dehydrated. Since the pandemic I hate to admit this but I have totally laid off my fermented foods like sauerkraut which were a staple for five years
@MC1R Positive Friend, sometimes an INBALANCE of either Potassium OR Magnesium and create dehydration, did you know that? They have to be balanced, and when doing KETO you have a risk of not getting enough salt, all the electrolytes are important to keep balanced. Here is something I saved from one of Dr. Bergs videos, via his talking points.
When you do a keto diet, your need for salt increases. On a higher-carbohydrate diet, you retain sodium. As well, if you’ve had diarrhea, vomiting, or on diuretics, this could be another reason you need more sodium. (As a side note only, if you’re drinking too much water and become way too low on sodium, you could experience a serious condition called hyponatremia.)
When you increase your sodium intake, be sure to increase your fluid intake along with it. The most common thing I see when people go on keto is that they don’t consume enough salt. Be sure to use sea salt!
Try Dr. Bergs Electrolyte formula or get one you like, I get mine from Cotsco. Also, drink some Coconut Water every once in a while.
@MrRondonmon yes thank you. I do know all of this.
@MrRondonmon Thank you read my discussion with the other comments are above. We’ve covered all of this. I’m drinking Dr. bergselectrolyte powder with lemon juice right now. I’ve been drinking it for almost 6 years. Please see all the above comments first then if you’ve got a new idea please come back and comment 🙂 What’s going on with me is more involved thank God I know as much as I do. It’s beyond your typical sodium magnesium and potassium. But thank you though 🙂 appreciate your thoughts
@MrRondonmon anything Dr. Berg has ever said anything I’ve ever watched is burnished into my brain 🙂 I’ve seen every video he’s ever put out. You know how most people would love to meet their favorite actor their favorite singer their favorite writer? If I open my door one day and Dr. Berg was standing there on my porch, God I can’t tell you what my reaction would be. He literally saved my wife five years ago almost 6. When people say to me if there’s anybody you could ever me who would it be? I say Dr Berg 🙂 One day I’m going to go to The keto Summit
@MrRondonmon you should be on Dr. Berg‘s live right now! Talking to you guys I missed it so now I’ve gotta go back and replay it lol. I never miss his live on Friday😭😢

Dr. Berg coming through in the clutch with another one!! Thanks for all that you do for your community.
It’s so funny my family Dr has no clue about any of this!
My mother always eats tons of oranges and apples, and yet had bleeding gums. The dentist told her to take vitamin C supplements and the bleeding gums were gone…if she stops taking it, they start bleeding again. It seems allmost like fruits lost their nutritional value..
@maureen green You must have been typing on a bus on a very bumpy road. ;0)
I have same problem bleeding gum always and earts lots of fruits like orange etc nothing work however I take heavy dose vitamin c it works and no bleeding. If I stop taking vitamin c again my gum blead. So annoying
She could try ripe papayas and mangoes. They’re easier to digest than citrus.
Yes. Since we stared importing our fruits from other countries, they have to be picked/shipped green to arrive looking fresh, yet they never were allowed to mature.
@Debbie Goodman I have 3 mangoes ripening right now 😀 I love them but out of season
Congratulations Dr. Berg, just over 9M, Let’s go for 10M subscribers 👍👍🇺🇸

There is a fruit called in India as Indian gooseberries loaded with tons of vitamin c.

Thank you for another wonderful lesson, Dr Berg. Sugar is always added in processed foods. Nature has always the better choice 🍏🍋🥦
The part about hypochondria is a fascinating physiological response.

Glad that ab to india me koi achha doctor bnega
I can totally attest to this… Moreover, I was taking up to 6000 MG OF “VITAMIN C” in the form of ascorbic acid and I had loose teeth, gum problems, fatigue and a BUNCH of other issues. After I saw the video he links at the end of this video, I changed over to food based vitamin C with about 500 -1000 mg of ascorbic to help supplement. In about a month my bleeding gums, loose teeth, fatigue and all the other issues went away. Vitamin C is much more complex than just “ascorbic acid”. So THANKS DR BERG for saving my teeth and my health! 👏
WOW! 🐱👍🏿
I have most of these symptoms now I will increase my vit C!!
@fidel catsrohi Fidel 🖐🏻
@Banana Bob 🐱♥️
fabulous presentation hope we get more of it thanks Mr. Berg
I’ve never had my vitamin c checked from any doctors until 2 years ago when my thyroid doctor decided to check it and my results came back saying that my vitamin c was at a zero from where I didnt have any. I was severely deficient and didnt know it. I always drunk orange juice but apparently it wasnt enough so he had put me on a supplement to take for a while. Sadly I havent had it taken since then. So I’m not sure what my level is at this point.
Teresa Kelley- lack of C is FATAL Friend ⭐️♥️
@Nora Charles I know, I’m gonna get my doctor to check my levels again.
After more than 20 years smoking, I finally decided to quit. A few days ago, I got sick. Thought I had c-vid, turns out it was just the flu but felt like someone had jumped me the day before lol I was unable to sleep and really started to watch your videos. I was beyond motivated. I’ve been loosing weight, from being almost 300 lbs, now I’m 229 lbs and your videos just gave me what I needed to realize how important is to establish better habits, one of those is stop smoking. I’ve been sharing all this info with my love ones. Thank you for such great content.
Dr Berg…. At night my hands and feet have been cold in the past, but in the last couple weeks after taking your Vit C complex I’m waking up at night warm and sweaty. This is much better than being cold all the time in cool/cold weather. This is great. Is this expected with taking the real Vit C as in the past I was taking regular Ascorbic acid? Has anyone else have this type of experience? Is it due to increase circulation?
Hi Dr. Berg, I would love to hear your thoughts on some of these new probiotics such as EM-1, and HMO’s.
Lemons and limes are good sources of vitamin C, and they can be added to many dishes and beverages to create good flavours. They are also low in calories and have much lower sugar when compared to other fruits
Thank you so much, Dr. Berg, for sharing your knowledge. I love the way you explain everything. You are a real doctor that knows about cures, not like most doctors who only know medicine. I respect surgeons. I have problems, and I am sleeping 45 minutes at night, and since October, they haven’t found what’s going on with my sore throat. They say it is acid reflux, but I am pretty sure I have something viral or bacterial they spent eight years in medicine for nothing very disappointing. God bless you and protect you.
