Today we’re not just going to talk about what you can do if you have an autoimmune disease, but what's really behind autoimmune diseases.

Various things have to occur at the same time for someone to develop an autoimmune condition.

Autoimmune triggers:
1. A vitamin D deficiency
2. A virus, bacteria, or pathogen
3. Exposure to something that weakens your immune system
4. Stress
5. The wrong diet
6. A genetic weakness

Even though various factors can lead to an autoimmune disease, vitamin D deficiency is at the heart of this condition.

Top causes of a vitamin D deficiency:
• A genetic weakness
• Obesity
• Insulin resistance
• Darker skin
• Less exposure to the sun
• Aging

Vitamin D controls the immune system, and it can either boost or suppress certain parts of the immune system.

Inflammation is also a key factor involved in autoimmune disorders, but there are important things you can do to turn off the inflammatory process.

The best natural remedies for autoimmune conditions:
• Vitamin D
• Omega-3 fatty acids (while avoiding omega-6 fatty acids)
• Cod liver oil
• Curcumin
• Blueberries
• Maitake mushrooms
• St. John’s wort

  1. B1 thiamine deficiency plays a huge role in autoimmune conditions as well because it helps to BALANCE activate/ suppress /control /modulate the inflammatory and anti inflammatory interleukin cytokinins. Also as the lack of co-enzymated/ activated b-complex that stimulate methylation which breaks down histamine that is involved in allergic reactions, also plays a role in genetic expression and DNA integrity.

    • @Keeley Kobobel may I ask, are you just taking regular b1? Some people claim you need the special forms like bentofiamine. I’m having trouble finding out whether that’s always necessary.

    • We take unfortified nutritional yeast so we get the whole B complex. I know Dr Berg says you want to take natural vitamins, not synthetic. It’s really tough to get everything dialed in, that’s for sure!

  2. Dr. Berg, you have saved my families lives and my own. I introduce anyone I meet to your videos. This question is off topic and I’m hoping someone will have an answer or yourself. I’m on a budget and limes are wayyy cheaper than lemons, can I use these in place of lemons in my morning drink of what’s supposed to be lemon water and acv, and still get the same benefits? Any answer will help, please and thank you 🙏🏼, hope everyone has a blessed day❤

    • Yes, you can use lime and get same result. I have used lime for years in the morning usually, but I don’t mix it with ACV, I take them separately, I alternate both throughout the day in my water as I don’t take any other drink. So you are good.

    • @Olusola Oyadina thank you so much for taking the time to respond🙏🏼❤️ really appreciate it! Hope you have a blessed day and may this coming year be full of them💯

  3. Dr. Berg, you are a good man and a true healer. God bless you for all the help and advice you give to help people regain their health after being abandoned or poisoned by the butchers and pill-pushers in white coats.
The body has an innate ability to heal itself – all we need to do is give what it needs to achieve this with the right diet, gentle exercise, supplements (because food is so poor), and the reduction in stress. The white coats merely offer a pill (poison) to mask the symptoms rather than offering a cure.

  4. Good morning Dr. Berg. I have been add the OMAD into my lifestyle, What supplements would you recommended for me? I don’t want to take too many pils. Thank you.

  5. When I was Dx with fibromyalgia, I also had a low Vit. D level. I have also noticed increase in my energy when I’m low as well. Since that time, I supplement and also do low carb. Thank you

  6. Started taking D3 5000 iu as prescribed by my dr. 2 yrs ago. I still take them upto now, it helped with my muscle twitches and tingling sensations but my joint pains seem to get worse. I also developed IBS. My b12 was 600+ when I tested so I don’t supplement. I also tried taking Boron but I’m afraid it just affected my estrogen level. Idk what to do anymore. 🙁

  7. Thank you Dr. Berg. I’m curious about the relationship between autoimmunity and stealth pathogens (eg. EBV) specifically with their ability to shut off the vitamin D receptor as a survival mechanism. I think you touched on this on a previous video, but I think it would be advisable to take an anti-viral like olive leaf extract in addition to vitamin D.

  8. Wow !! This speaks to me. I have had pain since childhood. Now have psoriasis, and fibromyalgia. Stomach issues. How I have come this far, I don’t know, 60+ years old. Dr. Berg thanks for all your good works. 💜

  9. Dr Berg!! I would never ever click off your content.
The information you bring forth is so wonderful. There isn’t proper gratitude available on this planet to express what this education means to me. I can’t get enough. I watch everything you share and often multiple times.

  10. Wow! I was diagnosed 2 years ago with an autoimmune condition but don’t think I was checked for vitamin D. A new doctor checked for it earlier this month and my levels are insufficient. Made me wonder just how long my levels have been low like this.

  11. Thank you for everything Dr. Berg. I never really realized our bodies are technology before listening to you. Not pushing this on anyone else but my understanding of being made in Gods image and likeness..He made systems(ex. digestive or eco) and we make systems( vehicle exhaust system).. he made us a CPU and we as humans have made central processing units . He’s a father. We are parents. He designs, like naturebeautiful flowers)…I love creating/designing..a dress.. he has created technologies like our body…we create technologies….as humans we do not operate outside of our created value that is after the image of God…but because this is a spiritually fallen realm mans way of operating may unfortunately be for evil. Obviously, we do not do things on Gods level but we were created to imitate him originally..Hes a spirit..and even though science only acknowledges the soul of man…man is actually a spirit and then has a soul. You are absolutely the best at helping me recommit my body back to God. Thanks again!!

  12. Hi Dr B … quick ? … how does one take the gelatin recipe you suggested in a recent video? … thanks for all the uploads … they’ve been a great help.

  13. What should we do for Dr. Berg’s 10 Million subscribers milestone? If only there was a Nobel Prize category for “Truth Telling” 🙂

  14. I was diagnosed with RA fibromyalgia lupus psoriasis then became paralyzed with MS. It was all Lyme disease. And bartonella. I’m convinced all autoimmune disease has Lyme as a root cause. All diseases are gone now after antibiotics. When I started seeing a Lyme specialist my d levels were every low. I took 100k iu a week with k. It took 3 months to get normal levels. I had to take antibiotics for 2 years to get rid of it. My Lyme has 100s of patients like me right now. She has cured every single Ms patient. The cdc is evil. Can you please look into this dr? So many people suffer when cheap antibiotics can help. Along with healthy d levels and diet

    • Glad you’re doing better. Did you say antibiotics can cure MS? I have a relative that has MS and he’s taking an injection three times a week and is on high dose of vitamin D as well. Doctors said MS can not be cured but can be treated.

  15. This is probably one of the best videos you’ve shared. Your explanation was clear and understandable. All makes sense. Thank you for sharing your passion with us. You are appreciated

  16. I’m 63, my parents passed young from lupus(50) and MS (60), so I’ve outlived both. About 18 years ago, I changed jobs, relocated to another state, lost my girlfriend. (stress) Not long after, I got psoriasis. Any skin issue such as poison ivy, gets worse in the form of eczema. I’ve been on many of the biologics (Stelara, Cosyntix, Taltz and Skyrizi) that mostly keep it under control. But they weaken my immune system and I catch every cold/virus that comes around. My last injection was July, I was due in October. My psoriasis hasn’t flared up like it usually does when I stop the injection, and it’s winter time. I’m 100 pounds overweight. Is there something I could have added to my diet that is helping ? Something I removed ? I take lots (LOTS) of herbs, spices, vegetable powders and supplements, along with daily arugula smoothies.
In my morning chai tea, I add 2 grams of turmeric powder, 2 grams of ginger powder, 3 grams of maca powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and other plant based powders for my knees. No sweetener.

    • Like the good doctor says you have to increase your vitamins d intake , have cod liver oil, have vitamins k2 , have a magnesium supplement, do keto diet, be in Sun 🌞 more often and try to avoid stress. Take care 😊. Bye 👋👋😎

    • Check if you have Lyme disease. What your parents both had often are misdiagnosed for Lyme, which can apparently be passed onto a spouse and children (in utero)

    • Try local derived honey applied topically to the skin where you have the rash for a few hours a day until it goes away. Don’t know if it will help you but it helps me I’m from Florida and I use honey made in Florida.

    • I think everyone should take a multi vitamin suitable for your age and gender. Then be sure to get Vit D, green tea (antioxidants). Eat your vegetables, don’t take it as a powder. Eat your food, don’t drink it. Eat eggs for vit K2.
