Blood pressure problems are very common. Today, we’re going to talk about blood pressure and the best natural hypertension remedies.
The problems with high blood pressure can extend way beyond the heart. High blood pressure can affect the brain, eyes, and kidneys. High blood pressure can also increase the risk of heart attack and stroke.
In my opinion, two common causes of high blood pressure are low magnesium and low vitamin D. But hypertension could also be the result of another health issue, like hypoxia.
The typical treatment for hypertension involves lowering sodium intake or taking a diuretic. But, diuretics deplete potassium and magnesium, which could both be potential causes of high blood pressure in the first place.
Calcium channel blockers and ace inhibitors are also used to treat high blood pressure, but those come with serious potential side effects. A research study also found that taking aspirin every day may not have any benefits.
Nitric oxide, on the other hand, supports the inner layer of the arteries and may help lower blood pressure. A certain enzyme in the body helps make nitric oxide. But, this enzyme can be inhibited if you have a specific genetic variation.
One of the best natural remedies for hypertension is L-arginine. L-arginine supports the production of nitric oxide in the body.
Other great natural remedies for high blood pressure are foods like garlic and celery, which you can easily include in your diet.
You may also want to take tocotrienols to support the arteries and make sure you’re getting plenty of potassium, magnesium, and vitamin D3.
Changing your diet is another crucial part of dealing with high blood pressure. Discover the best diet for hypertension in my next video.

Doctor Berg I usually cross reference everything you say with a few other doctors/teachers that I trust. Today the common theme was beets and celery. Hitting the veggie isle almost every other day because of you. Battling cancer…. thanks for all your insights. Updated: thank you too everyone offering prayers and healing on my behalf. Was diagnosed with stage 4 colon mets to liver in June of 22. Completed 6 mo of chemo…. it shrank and wiped out some of the tumors, but 2 still in my liver. I take responsibly for my decision to research alternative lifestyle and diet changes. If I continued the traditional way, the surgeries and chemo that’s available to me will most likely destroy my mind, immune system, and not to mention the success rate isn’t really a successful success rate. So I’ve been following almost 98% vegan…. still very small portions of meat (mostly chicken and fish)…. although after the pfas report on freshwater fish… I’m terrified 😨 one day at a time, one step at a time…. none of us know when it’s our time, but starring it down takes more courage than I’ve ever needed. Keep praying 🙏 and I will too 🙏 ❤️

Paleo or Keto is the way to go. Stay away from wheat and soy as they are bio engineered, I actually believe that are what is making us sick. I’ve been researching this awhile. Freshest food possible. There are many people who are saying, I’m not a doctor so please research 1st, Ivermectin will cure cancer. Prayers for you as you go through this tough journey. God watch over you.
No weapons formed against you shall prosper! 🙏🏽
My stepfather is going through the same thing right now. I pray for your complete healing in Jesus name, Amen
I had high blood pressure. My doctor put me Enalipril. I decided to take action. I now walk 10,000 steps 4-6 times a week and went on the keto diet. My blood pressure on January 25 was 109/72. I’m getting a good blood pressure regularly. Thanks Dr. Berg.
@Living My Best Life my cousin and many other people I know, got a chronic cough while on it. I take Loasartan 25mg, which is giving me great results, of course, my goal is to lose 10 more pounds and get off it.
Congrats!
@SAK’s Resurrected Pieces I have the same question
I have blood pressure and doctor give me Amlodipine 5 mg every morning
the keto diet was invented for children who have epilepsy in the first place,. otherwise, not very healthy foods on that one to me.
These are all fantastic tips, and great information regarding high blood pressure. It’s a complicated issue and as usual, you’ve explained it in a great way. I appreciate this channel for all things medical and health-related. You’ve helped me immensely. THANK YOU.
Thanks Dr. Berg, for all the information you’re giving to the people, keep sending and one LOVE 🙏
Thank you Dr. Berg for sharing your great knowledge with us; I was taking losartan and my lips starting to swell, half of my face was numbed, I was feeling dizzy, brain fog, tired, nausea then my doctor changed the medication to lisinopril in May of 2022 and I this prescription is causing so many health issues including reducing my sodium to 135; I will try to get off the medication.
Thanks a lot again, Dr. Berg for this very important information on hypertension. I always enjoy watching your videos! Believe me, I learn a lot from your teachings about health and wellness. God richly bless you more & more as you continue to educate people about health and wellness. 🙏🥳🥰🤗💖💖💖
Hi Dr. Berg, thank you for your help! I currently do not have a doctor. The doc my friend recommended told me he could not accept me as a patient, because I asked if we could try and find the Cause of high BP instead of just prescribing more rx. It is maddening ! I’m almost afraid to go to a dr at all because of suspecting that they think I’m old enough… especially with things that have happened in the last few years. So I very much appreciate your work! Thank you.
He probably perceived you as a problem patient because most Doctors are not interested in finding the root cause of your hypertension…..they just want to prescribe medication and keep it moving……
I’m not old but doctors refuse to answer my questions too. They just want compliant cattle for patients.
You need to find a naturopath if you want help finding the cause. Or just keep watching Dr. Berg. He will help you more than any dr I’ve met.
My understanding of what may help, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Ginger, Garlic, Beets, Cinnamon, Cardamom, CoQ10, Vitamin B12, drinking enough water. Along with many foods like Salmon, Avocados, Arugula, Pistachios, Walnuts, Blueberries, Celery etc.
Dr. Berg, in another video you mentioned that L-Arginine can “unbind” cold sore virus and work against the binding effects of L-Lysine supplement. Should they both be taken? And should they be taken together or separated doses? Thank you.
Good question as I take L-lysine for cold sores and have avoided the L-Arginine.
Yeah, me too. I used to take L-Arginine regularly until I noticed the pattern of the inevitable nasty cold sore emerging as a result. Lysine increased my sense of inner tension when I took more than a little bit of it. I no longer take either one and only occasionally get the cold sore these days.
I’m interested to hear what Dr. Berg says about taking both of them together.
@Cowgirl Janey I get cold sores at least twice a year, due to change of weather…What works the best is, Original formula Pepto Bismol, the minute you feel it coming on, dab a little on and you feel it going to work immediately…It won’t get to the point of a blister and scab…I have tried so many products for years and nothing helped, until I read about crazy home remedies for ailments…I won’t use anything else…Been at least 25 years now..
This explains why so many elderly people on blood pressure meds end up in the hospital with low potassium. Then it is painfully returned to them in an IV. I had to see my poor parents go through this. Vascular dementia is a terminal disease I wouldn’t wish on anyone.
I would watch out for taking 20k IU of D3 per day. I was taking only 4k during the winter and I was working indoors, so I was barely outside when the sun was up. I did my bloodwork and I had 98 ng/mL which is too high. And I had a kidney stone at that time. So I’ve cut my D3 to 2k IU per day and after a few months, the next blood work showed 44 ng/mL which is in the range. Not everybody needs high dosage, do your blood work people, and check how much you need.
Yes I heard 5000 was plenty.
Are you taking K2 mk7 with your vitamin D3?
44 seems low. I think you need 50 for optimal health.
I can’t thank you enough Dr Berg for giving us such clear cut practical self care solutions you are a real hero ❤
Not an expert but ..I believe that stress is one of the biggest factors for high BP..
It is in the sense if your cortisol levels remain high consistently you can get hypertension and kidney function depletion. A nephrologist told me this.
I agree. Sometimes when working with a hypnosis client, we take BP readings before and after a session. There is a remarkable difference. I teach some simple self hypnosis techniques so they can continue to adjust it on their own and eventually move into self regulation.
For sure stress 😰 100%
I go true ..everyday working life lots of it ….stress
Hi Dr. Berg I also heard cinnamon works to lower blood pressure…
I’ve been taking garlic pills and cinnamon I’m trying to get off my blood pressure medication and you’re right I always seem to feel like crap… I tried to go off it once, but I actually felt pressure in my heart area so I went back on. I have successfully eliminated Atovastatin which I knew was completely unnecessary for my body but now my battle will be with blood pressure medication.
My blood pressure seems to be totally stress related💯
I never eat junk food I still battle a little bit of sugar here and there and I add fresh garlic to almost every meal I prepare
I’m no Dr, but I take Cinnamon to reduce blood sugars, I take Ginger root, Beetroot and Hawthorn Berry, hope this helps along with checking your Potassium and Magnesium 👍
I have situational high blood pressure and also am a passionate person. Throughout the day I have to talk to myself and use calming techniques to lower my blood pressure. Physical activity is helpful too. Thanks again Dr. Berg you are looking good! 👍
@Nightingale of sorrow Please look into the role of magnesium and how it helps us to sty calm. Simply soaking your foot in warm water with Epsom salts may help you. Many of us are deficient in magnesium and it is vital for our health. Blood tests only measure how much magnesium is in our blood, not our cells, which is where the majority of magnesium is located. You may find it easier to stay calm. Blessings.
I know exactly what you mean ! Me too!
My blood pressure was at 174/144 in September 2022. I started team training for cardio thrice a week, ate one meal a day and walking 10k steps a day. Third week of Jan my bp stood 120/84. Thanks to you and also my PCP who also motivated me to try no pill approach. Cheers !
👍👍☘️🍀🌿
@Rosalie Trevino yes
@Lady Mitch I’m vegetarian and from india, here is what my typical meal look like, a BIG portion of vegetable, every other day I have a bean/legume and a millet recipe with all different kind of millet. Weekends I go easy on rice, that too I stick to brown or forbidden rice. I also drink a vegan protein shake after my noon cardio workout. So technically not omad but my eating window is typically 4 hours and strictly nothing except water/lemon water/decaf black coffee for 20 hours.
@Prakash Sathiyamoorthy Good for you! Metabolic health in India is not the best.
@Rosalie Trevino A decent doctor should recommend changes to diet and exercise for hypertension first and then if the changes are made, or the patient refuses to comply, prescribe the pills.
But, in any case, a doctor should be having lab tests run to make sure that the blood pressure medication isn’t going to make things worse. For people who aren’t consuming a lot of salt, pills to lower the sodium levels can lead to fatal side effects as sodium is crucial to the brain amongst other body parts.
A natural way to cure high blood pressure. I used to have average 145/110 blood pressure until I took CoQ10 and fish oil every day for 2 months. Now my lowest blood pressure has been 106/66. Just sharing knowledge can save a life
What brand did you pick?
I’ve had super!! high blood pressure for about 15 years even though I eat super healthy they kept upping my bp meds but I started falling asleep at work so I went off them. They gave me high doses of Crestor and it didn’t help. After watching your videos I started taking Tocotrienols and D3 after about a week my bp was perfect and has been for over two months now! You have no idea how much you are changing people’s lives for the better!
Good job on your BP. Keep up the good work!
Dr. Berg, I’m 69, off work due to a fracture leg. I been following your recommendations for 3 months, got my blood pressure down to 106/61, after being it being high for 10 yrs., thank you very much! And there’s still room for improvement on my diet. I love Laudemio. One thing, is when in the day, do you take each supplement? Vitamin mixing, bad combinations, nobody talks about it. could make a video on that subject?
Excellent! Excellent! Comment. That is one thing you don’t hear much at all.
I have an extremely physical job and my focus has been on potassium. I’m getting everything else I need but trying to get an optimal amount of potassium has been a challenge. Watching the end if this I realized that I do everything you’ve talked about already. I think Watching your videos may actually be good for my health! 👍
I started keto following Dr Berg on the 1st of January, i weighed 280lbs blood pressure 150/95, I’m 60 years old. Today I’m 260lbs and blood pressure 117/78 this morning. Blood glucose 5.3 other than at dawn 6.8 when I wake up. My target by mid year (my birthday) is 180lbs. I’ll report back on 26th June 😊
