Today I’m going to share five vitamins that can help with the complications of diabetes.

High blood glucose affects four main tissues, including:
1. The eyes
2. The arteries
3. The nervous system (including the brain)
4. The kidneys

However, the damage to these tissues can lead to a myriad of health problems.

Glycation is a combination of sugar and protein in the body, and it can lead to this dysfunction of tissues. An A1C score is basically a number that represents glycated hemoglobin (a protein in red blood cells) to help tell how bad someone’s diabetes is.

Glycation can also occur when someone consumes a combination of sugar or carbs and protein or fat.

When glycation occurs, it can build up into advanced glycation end products (AGEs). With AGEs comes a lot of free radical damage, inflammation, and oxidative stress.

The good news is that there are natural things that can inhibit glycation.

Vitamins that inhibit glycation:
1. Benfotiamine
2. Vitamin C
3. Vitamin D
4. Vitamin E (tocotrienols complex without tocopherols)
5. Vitamin B6

Other natural glycation inhibitors:
• Alpha lipoic acid
• Green tea (EGCG)
• Aged garlic
• Bitter melon
• Quercetin
• Curcumin
• Fasting
• Exercise

  2. I take bitter melon every day mixed with a 1/2 a cucumber 1/2 of a celery stalk and 1/2 of a green apple and my sugar dropped from 125 to 90. It also helps with cholesterol levels. Glad to see bitter melon is on your list Thank you Dr Berg

  5. Dr Berg I am 42 I live in Zimbabwe. My dad and his siblings have all passed away from kidney failure/hypertension and complications of Diabetes. I have no such issues thanks to your advice. Intermittent fasting, working out etc. Your work as one man rivals that of organisations like WHO or CDC. Thank you

    • You said it all 😊. I really feel Dr berg is more sincere than our regular physicians because they send us here and there for test, specialist and appointments. Even they somehow know the cause.

Thank you Dr for your time and making such great videos in a simple way to understand and apply in our daily lives.

    • Hypertension is a lot tougher on people of colors kidneys than lighter skinned counterparts, do be aware of that and take it seriously, do what you can to keep that blood pressure under control, water/electrolyte fasting helped me tremendously with it myself.

    • Please don’t put him in the spotlight by using certain words like those organizations should not be discussed I really need this guy’s info please don’t bring up those words may get him in trouble. Not wise to put these key words.. everything is A. I.

    • Diabetes complications are largely due to uncontrolled high blood sugar levels for a long time, causing damage to small blood vessels and large blood vessels. When the vascular system is damaged, it will affect the function of nerves, eyes, kidneys, heart, etc.

  6. Good Morning, Dr. Berg 🍎
Thank you so much for sharing this Important Information with everyone, May God continue to bless you. Have a great day 🙏

  7. Dr Berg, thank you so much for this information, as a T2D, who is non medicated through diet and exercise, it seems I need to up my vitamin game! Instead of taking these 5 different vitamins individually, is there a vitamin supplement you recommend that consists of all 5 in just one pill? Also, what amount should be taken daily in each form?

  9. Superb video!
    14. Reduce stress
    15. Meditation
    16. Quality sleep 💫
Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.
    Peace love and blessings!

  10. Thank you Dr. Berg. I don’t know of anyone who spends as much time as you do trying to care for others. I was captured by the no sugar for 2 weeks video which I followed starting the moment I watched it. I’m in my 8th week. I was probably running around 8.3 A1C when I watched it. I have an entirely new perspective on my health due to your videos. I have been adding your advice methodically since January 15th. Today’s video triggered me to order the Benfotamiene after just yesterday ordering the tocotrienol vitamin E. Picked up grass fed butter, cabbage, and sardines yesterday in the stores. Never bought them before.

    • Low thiamine levels have been linked to many health problems, including nerve and heart disorders. Because benfotiamine is more bioavailable and absorbed than thiamine, some people use benfotiamine to increase thiamine levels and treat certain conditions.

    • @I’m happy So can you please share with me if thiamine and benfortiamine are the same or 2 different types vitamins? I am confused about these 2 because I see in some comments on another channel that they are different and even here on Dr Berg ‘s some of the comments are confusing as well. I don’t know if he has any videos about the difference! I have looked and can’t seem to see any! Thanks in advance!

  11. Cinnamon is also a great one to take as well. Can you do a video on how to lose fat around the private area like what foods, exercises and vitamins that help with that. I’ve lost almost 200 pounds since last year and I’m having a tough time losing fat in that area

  12. Thank you Dr. Berg! I was in severe pain, my ankles mostly but also, burning – tingling – some numbness in my feet. Started taking Benfotiamine, 300mg twice a day, 90 percent reduction in pain. Its only my first few weeks of taking it so am sure will keep improving. Type 2 diabetic have also brought my numbers down drastically through diet. Thank you so much for your videos! 🥰

  13. Hi Dr. Berg,
I really appreciate how detailed all your videos are. Thank you.
However, I thought high glucose also affected the liver and pancreas. Is that incorrect?
    Thanks

  14. Hello Dr. Berg,
In my personal experience potassium also helps side effects like frequent urination, but I know people have to be very careful not to take too much of it and not all brands are as potent.
What are your thoughts on a potassium supplement to reduce the effects of high glucose?
    Thank you for your time.
