    • People continue to make assumptions that everyone has same issues some people can eat all the vegetables they want but no problems

    • I’m not sure if that is necessary but I do think food should include the Glycaemic Index as high GI foods are generally bad for everyone.

  2. would be enough and safe to heat the Broccoli in 60 degree Celsius water for 10 minutes ?
    in this way the Sulforaphane stays and activated in the broccoli

  3. The only people who use margarine are people who have tried to lose weight since the 70s with no success.

  5. I have been consuming micro greens in place of the adult vegetable. They seem to be much easier to digest and I feel I am getting more nutritional value than the adult vegetable.

  6. So I understand how these can be harmful to your health if consumed a lot but so could ANYTHING we consumed a lot of. You could put water on this list because when consumed significantly you do more damage to your body than it helps. I think it’s really important when conveying studies like these to tell how much is considered too much or the specific amount needed to consume to have its negative effects otherwise you just paint a very broad picture that all these are “bad” for you when in relative amounts is healthy or at the very least not harmful to your health.

    • @Siim Land yes you did but how much? How much uncooked broccoli is damaging to my thyroid? This is was one of the issues revolving around Soy and muscle building. It’s important when stating things like this that the amount or consistency in consumption also be mentioned otherwise you get this vague understanding that it’s bad for you but not sure how much is.

    • if you do not exceed 70C it will increase the production of it .. rather than the nitrile

  7. Alot of banana chips are cooked in coconut oil these days. You can find organic unsweetened banana chips that are good for you and tasty

  8. What is it about the processed meats that causes the mortality increase? Nitrites? Salt? Something from the can? Something in the process? Sneaking seed oil in there somewhere?

  9. Would placing broccoli in a microwave for 1 minute be enough to neutralize the effect on thiroid function?

  10. I’m not convinced about the processed meat.. the people who labeled them as carcinogenic also say the same about red meat and recommend eating insects and soy milk instead.

    5. Margaraine
    6. Banana chips
    7. Ham or processed meats
    8. Sports drinks(added sugars)
    9. Raw kale
    10. Salad dressings

  12. I sometimes eat raw parsley, which has a similar nutrient profile to kale, is parsley fine raw?

  13. Seems like only the cruciferous issue is controversial. By cooking them, aren’t you only destroying the myrosinase which is destroying the production of sulphoraphane? Don’t some people have natural myrosinase in their gut? Wouldn’t that make this advice completely useless? This section needs its own video for clarification.

Just steam Broccoli and you are safe to go.. or put a cover on the pan and use low heat while cooking Broccoli together with the meal.. been doing this for ages, and it’s one of the safest ways, even if u eat loads of it.. Oxalate is not that bad as it is depicted here, it’s just always about the doses/amount, with anything and everything.. it really takes very high doses for a long time to take before u develop kidney stones..
