Today we’re going to talk about natural alternatives for dyspareunia.
This condition can cause pain during intercourse, pelvic exams, and horse riding, or while inserting a tampon or sitting too long.
My opinion is that this condition is typically caused by oxalates in the vaginal area. Oxalates can form crystals that can look like razor blades and are behind other conditions, as well, like kidney stones and gout.
Thankfully, there are natural remedies for dyspareunia and certain foods that may be helpful. You may also want to avoid high-oxalate foods for a while to help determine if oxalates could be involved.
High-oxalate foods to avoid if you have dyspareunia:
• Spinach
• Beets
• Grains
• Beans
• Potatoes
• Almonds
• Peanuts
• Kiwi
• Wheat germ
• Soy
• Xylitol
• Blackberries
• Chocolate
• Eggplant
• Black pepper
• Swiss chard
• Rhubarb
• Figs
• Turmeric
Try consuming dairy with any of the above foods to help reduce the effects of oxalates.
Foods that are okay to consume if you have dyspareunia:
• Meat
• Fish
• Seafood
• Eggs
• Dairy
• Fats
• Arugula
• Cabbage
• Avocado
• Cauliflower
• Lettuce
• Saturated fats
The best natural remedies for dyspareunia:
1. Vitamin B6 (P5P form)
2. Calcium citrate (before bed)
3. NAG (n-acetyl-glucosamine)
4. CMO (cetyl myristoleate)

I have been looking for answers Dr Berg for this problem as it feels like broken glass during intimacy. I will definitely try this!
Sure. Hope it works well for you.
Pam Vancleve, I’ve been having this problem for the last 3 years or so. The only way I can describe the pain is it feels like I have a bad sunburn and someone is scratching me with their fingernails. Does that sound like the type of pain you’re experiencing?
OMG, you poor love, 😮
@Cris Nemitz if you are in your 50s it’s probably menopause. I eat almost nothing on the bad list and I do a lot of dairy. Mine started as soon as menopause started.

Thank you for addressing oxacilates. Can we consider low estrogen as a possible cause, which you’ve probably already done a video on?
Yes, agreed. This has to be a cause as well.🤔
Please how can increase my estrogen level natural, thanks Dr, and thanks everyone for sharing your views, my hormone profile shows I have low estrogen 50 was the reading, I have painful sexual intercourse, no drive for sex, I have been so worried about it
99% of the time it’s low estrogen and a thinning of the vaginal wall. The thinning possibly caused from low estrogen. I doubt diet can help that unless…. Maybe a good diet high in fat could have prevented this or a good diet high in fats could boost estrogen and keep at higher levels. Estrogen therapy helps this but at what cost to health?
Anyway as a man, I agree with women on this one, it’s not fair!
@Joe K
I would give anything to be able to satisfy my husband bc other methods do not provide the complete satisfaction as sexual intercourse. It’s a definite loss in our relationship. Guess that’s what we have to deal with if Eve really did temp Adam.
Good morning everyone 🌞 hope everything is going well in your lives! Thank you so much to Dr Berg for helping me get off my butt and get motivated to get healthy! Blessings to you all 🙏❤️
Thanks for your warm message. Wishing you a great day!
It’s very refreshing to see a Dr. that is opened minded to solutions that aren’t in a book, don’t produce negative side effects, and cost effective to try. Thank you for all you do.
That’s nothing. Glad to share information that can help you all.
😍
He is always like that, just watch his old videos right from his days when he got his hand fractured, he just provides all information and whatever he does.
May you live long Dr Berg thank you for saving us

Helping the world with your knowledge and expertise Dr. Berg ❤ We love and thank you!
Very glad to be of help.
This happened to me! It would hurt my husband as well.
I told the doctor and they didn’t believe me. Even though I was also dumping oxalate through my kidneys and also from my face and chest. It all started with antibiotics and “more plant food” per my doctors’ orders. After I contracted Lyme disease.
Thanks Dr Berg! ❤
You’re welcome. Hope you learned something new here.
@DrEricBergDC I did!
I also learned a few things on a recent video regarding the electrolytes (citrates) needed on an earlier video.
I ordered your electrolyte powder from that video content.
I have pcos and in my early 20s I experienced this , it only happened for a little while. Since I’m celibate I don’t know if I still have this. Thanks dr berg appreciate you 😊😊😊

I love the wide range of help you’re giving to men and women in countless areas. Thank you for talking about oxalates.
I’m actually having a problem now with high levels if oxalates. I really appreciate this video. Thank you.
I took a lot of antibiotics at one point in my life and just recently was on them as well.

Very sensitive subject. Thank you Dr. Berg.
Your videos are so helpful Dr. Berg. Is there a connection between oxalate sensitivities and diverticulosis from a congested gallbladder with gallstones and a fatty liver that can cause it? I never had these issues before, until i had liver/gallbladder issues. Thank you very much for making these videos Dr. Berg.
Dr Berg is videos needs millions of likes 👍 he is well deserved ❤️
My husband & I haven’t had intercourse for over a year…..
He’s 66, I’m 57
We try, but way too painful for me.
I remember not being able to use tampons…
Also have had thyroid problems since 19 years old
Many thx Dr. Berg, my health has definitely improved since watching your videos for over a year💯✅⭐️🙏💕

Hi Dr. Berg,
I don’t know if you really read every comment here. But I really want to thank you for showing me how to get well with your videos. I suffered from anxiety, insomnia, obesity and mutch more. I’ve been a better person since following your recommendations. I’m 33 and look like 20 and feel like a teenager. You have inspired me to do many things. A very big thank you! ❤
Thank you for this Dr. Berg! Around 20 yrs ago I went to a gynecologist for painful intercourse her explanation for me was maybe I was too stressed because now theirs a war going on ( Afghanistan had begun) or maybe I was mad or resentful at my husband about something! I left her office and cried in my car! I thought it was something in my head! It eventually got better cause I learned to deal with it!
Dr Berg, you’re the doctor I always wish I had. Thank you for CHANGING LIVES. ❤
