Let’s talk about what natural things you can do to no longer have cold feet and hands.

Top causes of cold feet and hands:
• A thyroid problem
• Poor circulation (peripheral artery disease)
• Raynaud’s syndrome
• Peripheral neuropathy

You may want to try taking benfotiamine if you have Raynaud’s syndrome or peripheral neuropathy. But what do you do if you don’t have any of the above issues and still have cold hands or cold feet?

There is a simple and natural solution you can try that involves exercising your arteries. You only need to do this exercise once or twice a day for about one and a half to two minutes.

What to do for cold hands and feet:
1. Fill a bucket one-third of the way with ice and two-thirds of the way with water

2. Stick your cold feet or hands in the bucket and wait for one to two minutes, breathing normally (your hands or feet will start to feel slightly warm in the water)

3. Remove your feet or hands

4. Repeat daily until your feet or hands have become warmer over time

  1. I agree with you about treating the opposite side of where your sore, it works. Il sometimes ask for a specific area to be rubbed and my darling does the complete opposite everytime, and it works. The tension of where the pain was, seems to disappear

  2. I used to have terribly cold feet but that was due to a disorder in my nervous system due to excess vitamin b supplements. Once I figured that out my feet never got cold again.

    • Your comment explains why my hands, feet and nose get cold in the evening….I am mega dosing B1 on purpose but had no idea this was a side effect, so thank you!

    • Very interesting! I’ve been taking lots of B supplements and have cold hands and feet. I’m going to stop them and see if it helps.

    • But he’s suggesting take Benfotiamine which is b1 to help so these comments don’t make sense?

  3. I do opposite side therapy all the time now since I first heard you talk about it and it really works. Just had right rotator cuff surgery at the beginning of May and I try as I can & massage the left shoulder to help relieve the right shoulder pain, haven’t taken the hydrocodone for almost two weeks now.

    • Usually pain in one area is caused by tight muscles in other areas like low back pain caused from tight leg muscles like the psoas. Really helps to learn how these areas are connected

    • I’m wondering why the surgeon didnt perform the surgery on your left shoulder to fix the right one. Probably he wasnt watching Youtube enough.

  4. Taking cold showers has helped with my blood circulation. As of result. I no longer have cold feet or hands

  5. Sooo cool! 🙆🏻‍♀️ You know you’re using the Eastern method, my acupuncturist always treats the meridians on the opposite side. So you DEFINITELY doing the right thing! Also the ice bucket thing, yeah, that’s wim Hoff as well. Thanks for describing and explaining why. That helps me a lot. I like you because you explain things and make it simple for ol’ thick headed me, lol 😁😄😂

  6. Hi Dr Berg, thank you for another great video! Would you please do a video on the opposite symptoms- 🌡🌡 HOT, BURNING feet too? I used to have cold feet all my life, but now experiencing hot, burning feet even in the middle of summer & cold winter. Need your insightful thoughts! My doctor has no idea and I’m totally lost! 😖🤯😤

  7. Taking my hot/cold showers definitely improved my resistance against the cold, very interesting information on how the body reacts when treating the opposite site of where the body aches in terms of improvement. I’d love to hear more about this phenomenon

    • Foot bath is a short term problem solver. Having right amount of rest, activity and contrast showers are the most effective ways to solve the problem.
It’s not pointless to take foot baths, but it’s there, close to taking ibuprofen for headache.

  8. Sharing Dr Bergs notes:

    Thank you Dr Berg🐱👍🏿

  9. Love the information! If you could do a future video more in depth on raynauds that would be awesome! Especially specifically related to vibration white finger and overuse of vibrating tools causing raynauds, as that’s what I’m suffering from now

  10. This was a God send. I’ve been frustrated about my constant cold hands and feet. My hands are even becoming stiff and inflamed. I went to a specialist who did x rays and ultra sound too lol for damage or arthritis but found nothing. I’m definitely going to be doing this.

    • Hi Ann,
Did they do a blood panel to see if you suffer from an autoimmune issue, mixed connective tissue: RA, Lupus, Scleroderma?
      Good luck!

  11. Who’s watching this with cold feet like me 😊 Thank you Dr Berg you’re the best

  12. You know that actually makes a lot of sense. If the body senses the feet are being damaged by cold of course it would open up blood flow to try to warm them up. I can see how doing this would improve the circulation to the feet over time. I have cold feet and have to wear shoes indoors, its annoying sometimes. Definitely going to try this. Just need to get me a 5 gallon bucket 🙂

  13. I used to literally freeze and tremble when leaving the warm shower on a cold/winter day.
After starting to take cold showers, that never bothered me anymore.

  14. Thank you for posting this. Ever since I started doing OMAD, I have been suffering from Raynaud’s Syndrome in my fingers. I know it sounds crazy, but I will give your solution a try. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
BTW, since starting Keto and doing OMAD, my Triglycerides have gone from 269 down to 58, glucose from 110 down to 64, weight from 205 # down to 150#, and I went from not being able to run 50 feet, to easily running 2 miles/day.

  15. Going to try this. Also I’ve been suffering from numbness and tingling in my hands, feet even legs and other body parts (I’ve hypotension as well). The doctors asked me to take B12 supplements but so far they haven’t been significantly fruitful. I am curious to know more about these things. I would be highly delighted if you make next video related to it. Thanks

  16. Thank you sir… my younger has been suffering from this despite being on healthy keto, exercising, and taking cold showers just like me.
We have a much better understanding of the issue now. Thank you truly…

  17. A cold shower also does wonders for me when slightly cold, will keep me warm afterwards for some time.

I like to switch between warm and cold when showering, starting with warm and ending with cold, i feel so energized after such a shower

  18. I was about to get married but I got cold feet and called it off at the last minute. I’m sure this video will give me the confidence boost I need!
