  1. i make white rice with olive oil and balsamic vinegar super delicious and i use redmonds real salt

    • It’s like you want the carbs but you don’t want the carbs. Might you consider trying not eating carbs?

  2. Isn’t some olive oil before the meal enough to lower the post-prandial glucose response? Does adding vinegar reduce it that much more? I did watch the video but wasn’t sure on this point.

    • I’d avoid olive oil; highly toxic. Coconut and avocado oil, and animal fats are the healthy alternative. No idea if they do anything for the post-prandial effect.

    • Vinegar has acid not present in olive oil. Lots of the expensive “virgin” olive oil has been found to be adulterated with good ol’ soy bean oil. Olive oil was never very popular or widely used until the Mediterranean countries (who could hardly get rid of the junk) pooled their resources, developed a co-op and brought in the “culinary writers” and magazine food editors to pump their product. It was only then that it became a “health food.”

    • @MrSerpico145 How is olive oil, EVOO cold pressed, toxic and coconut and avocado oil aren’t?

    • Protein does raise insulin levels but not near as much as carbs. Protein also has a satiating effect along with fat whereas carbs put you on a rollercoaster of hunger. The body also has a natural mechanism (glucagon- not glycogen) to limit insulin triggering by protein when very little carbs are in the system. This is because the body does not want to go into hypoglycemia. God has designed a wondrous system of incredible complexity.

  3. A glass of wine with meals keeps blood sugar levels low, which is why a true Mediterranean diet works so well.

    • Wine have lots of sugar that hits the system quickly. Same as fruit juices that are also full of sugar.

  4. Dr. Joseph Kraft performed the above mentioned glucose test on almost 14,000 patients over many years of medical practice. He concluded that practically all CVD was just the result of type 2 diabetes undiagnosed.
