Let’s talk about how to get rid of bloating fast. When it comes to a problem with the digestive system, the first thing you need to do is consider what you’re eating.

You can try consuming fewer foods to help isolate what’s causing you to bloat the most. It’s important to consider what you ate just before you noticed you were bloated. This will give you a big clue as to what’s causing you to bloat.

One of the best things to do for bloating is intermittent fasting. The more frequently you eat, the more bloating problems you’ll have. Gas produced by microbes in your gut can also cause bloating.

When trying to get rid of bloating, avoiding certain things is way more important than taking certain things.

Common foods to avoid to help with bloating:
• Fruit
• Beans
• Grains
• Refined sugars
• Sugar alcohols
• Starches
• Maltodextrin or dextrin
• Functional fibers
• Prebiotics
• Gluten
• Lactose
• Casein
• Nuts or nut butter
• Vegetables

Other potential causes of bloating:
• Stress
• Constipation
• Menstrual cramps

  1. I’ve got rid of bloating when I started regularly using 2 things: kefir & fenugreek drink. Thanks for the info Dr Berg 🌸

    • Interesting. Kefir bloats me even more. 😬
I stopped bloating with lemon, g-glutamine, green propolis, probiotic, all on an empty stomach, and Fodmap diet.

    • @Joyelle I think the milk the kefir is made in makes a big difference. I use raw or A2/A2 and I’m fine. Dr. Berg has a video on when to take probiotics and it’s when your stomach acid is diluted by food so the bacteria survives the transit through the stomach. I always drank my kefir to break my fast before I learned the empty stomach environment was the worst possible time! Now I have it for dessert, LOL.

    • @TexanboiiiI basically soak the fenugreek seeds overnight, sieve the water from the seeds the next day, store in a jar in the fridge for maximum 2 days, and during these days I take like 2 table spoons to add them each time I make myself red tea ( even better with green tea), If you add turmeric even better, becomes a super drink for almost everything: bloating, flues, viruses, etc,

  2. I was literally _thinking about bloating_ when I checked for Dr. Berg’s 6 AM EST video because I just learned from Dr. Mindy that a woman can have severe bloating MID-cycle (not PMS) due to a *difficulty breaking down estrogen (known as **_”estrogen metabolism”_** ) and I’m bloated* from that right now. I’m usually about 103 lbs and this morning up to 106 for “no reason.” It’s frustrating, but at least I know estrogen metabolism is my issue. I just wish I knew whether to eat estrogenic food to solve the problem; some research says AVOID, other research says EAT. It’s all my favorite stuff, though, so I’m going with EAT and seeing how it goes, LOL.

  3. I just got rid of a big case of bloating by tackling potassium deficiency! I’ve been taking 2 teaspoons of cream of tartar (potassium bitartrate) which is about 2 grams of potassium I believe. We have it on supermarket shelves in UK, not sure about US. Immediately my brain fog lifted and felt super energetic, and I could actually feel my guts finally getting rid of everything that was stuck. Been feeling amazing since!

    • @dita4911 Yep, for now I’m trying 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon cream of tartar every morning in a glass of water and see which way it goes. But I have no clue about what’s considered safe dosage for cream of tartar, i.e. if it has any serious side effects. I think most concern would be if you’re overloading on potassium which could be dangerous, but as long as your kidneys function well I understand you should be peeing out any excess. I’ll be keeping an eye out in the coming 2 weeks anyway but so far it’s a very promising rapid effect for me.

    • @Kukosanmore than 4g of potassium a day can, can be a prob. Be careful with potassium. Look up how potassium in cream of tartar

  4. Thank you so much Doctor Berg, really happy to watch your show again,i have missed it when you haven’t uploaded ❤

  5. Chew your foods well.
Have your dentures checked for a good fit.
Increase physical activity during the day.
    Sit up straight after eating.

  6. Thank you so much mate! I knew it was my foods but I also thought I’d was because I didn’t have a thyroid anymore. What has just computed in my brain is that after I had my thyroid out I almost immediately started craving Carbs and Sugars! Like really badly. I will be implementing this immediately (as best I can 😉) but thank you once again. I really appreciate everything you do. I wish I wasn’t on the other side of the world or I’d try book in to see you. Cheers 🇦🇺

  7. Hi Dr I am 71 and when I was a child there was nothing like all this bloating and all kinds of allergies I know what they have been doing to the food and the water that’s why we have to change our diets immediately 💯❤️👍

    • High probability of SIBO… going to take a little while to resolve. These videos do help but pain isn’t normal. The Betaine HCL additive should help a lot. I use Apple Cider Vinegar and water 2 hours before eating. Those microbes love whatever you’re eating

  8. Thank you for being here Dr. Berg! My health and over life is changing. I’m not perfect but I keep practicing new habits!

  9. Thank you Dr. Berg for another informative video! People really need to pay more attention on what are they consuming. Often it’s just a minor adjustment that makes big difference. I found out that if I didn’t cut out the little brown/green stem from tomatoes I got crazy bloating and sometimes even cramps. Found out later that it is toxic for the body once the stomach acids gets to work on it. Never had bloating since.

    • I’ve never known anyone who ate that part. We always cut it out when I worked in food service. Why did you think it was okay to eat that? Was this something your folks did?

  10. I feel like overeating is causing bloating. Either eating a little bit all day long and or overeating at a meal. Also Acid reflux seems to come into play for me especially if I eat after 7 or 8 p.m.

    • Sounds like a definite candidate for apple cider vinegar and water 2 hours for eating. I was doing this once in he morning and evening now just in the AM since adapting for OMAD

  11. Thankyou Dr Berg for this video I have very bad digestive issues. I also don’t have any gallbladder but I think stress is causing a lot of my bloating and digestion issues. I take a lot of B1, Betaine HCL and your purified bile salts. I wish if you still had your clinic I would be first in line😊 Thankyou again love and god bless always ❤🙏🏻🙏🏻

  12. Thank you, Dr. Berg. This is a very helpful video. It looks like (to fix the bloating problem) it takes a combination of investigation of our diets, elimination of certain foods and a TON of patience as we process through what’s working and what isn’t. This information is extremely timely for me (rn) because I struggle with SIBO/IBS/Gut dysbiosis and I’m celiac dominant — where now my bloating is back after meals. 🙄😬 Hopefully, I can go back and determine what the culprit is. Thank you! ❤🙏🎯🥰

  13. I’m Arab, when we eat veggies or dishes that can cause bloating, we add cumin to the dish to decrease the bloat. Also we drink fennel tea for bloating.

  14. Hey Dr Berg! Started my life change with your kiefer shake and we kept going from there. Now on 1 meal a day with 20-24 hour fasting and started drinking the whole blended lemon with ACV (tastes awful but it seems to be helping) down around 30+ pounds in 2 months (332.4 to 301.2) appreciate your help!

  15. Bloating has ruined sooo many days for me lol to the point I couldn’t move and so uncomfortable and looked about 7-8 months pregnant. Miserable. Wheat I found made it worse, starches I had to stop, fasting has helped. Also B1 has helped so many issues for me 😊

  16. I’m 25 and I’ve been on Keto for like 2 years and I’ve rid myself of all the diseases that I had, but no matter what I do, I can’t stop bloating! It happens to me with dairy, leafy greens and high fiber vegetables, a very big meal like OMAD, carbs, nuts, seeds and almost anything except carnivor and eggivor (Yes I made that up!) When I eat just eggs and or beef I’m feeling great, but I can’t afford it man… I kilo of meat is 400$ in Iran…

  17. Cutting sugar, doing keto, and drinking apple cider vinegar 3x day fixed it for me. Also cured my Candidiasis.
