Today, I want to cover some interesting information on iodine that goes way beyond what it does for the thyroid.
Most of your iodine is stored in your thyroid. However, iodine is important for many other organs.
The RDAs for iodine in the US are 150 mcg. But, in Japan, on average, people consume 1000 to 3000 mcg of iodine daily. They also have fewer problems associated with iodine deficiency than we do in the US.
That being said, excess iodine can create just as many problems as a deficiency in iodine.
I think it’s most beneficial to get the iodine you need from food. Shellfish and sea kelp are rich in iodine. But there is also iodine in eggs, dairy, iodized salt, and sea salt.
Unless you consume foods rich in iodine, either from the sea or from vegetables grown on the coastline, chances are you’re not getting enough iodine in your diet.
Iodine may help with various conditions, including:
• Estrogen dominance
• Heavy periods
• Fibrocystic breasts
• Ovarian cysts

• Asthma
• Toenail fungus
• Warts and skin tags
• Thyroid conditions
• Weight gain
• Brain fog
• Feeling cold (excessively)
• Dry skin and hair
• Constipation
• Depression
Top causes of iodine deficiency:

• Consuming millet, soy, or sweet potatoes

Thank you Dr Berg. I love your videos and podcasts, I drove for 7 hours today and listened to your podcasts the whole time.
Wow 7hrs
I wish all doctors were half as knowledgeable and compassionate about natural health as you Doctor. Thank you for sharing this information.
Medical doctors know the clue of nutrition treatments, never learned about them in school.
Dr Berg, I don’t have a thyroid, it’s been irradiated, because I have Graves disease. What is your recommendation
National Sunday Law is coming!
Please read the books “The Great Controversy” and “National Sunday Law”. Both connect the dots for you. All current events we’re seeing lead to Sunday worship by law aka Mark of the beast
If they are not healing folk then they are not by definition, a Doctor.

The best doctor in the world
I appreciate your support!
Excellent topic about Iodine!!! Thank you Dr. Berg!!! 🩷
You’re welcome! Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you, Dr. Berg! You’re giving me the confirmation I needed for sea moss. Everything that you listed problematic with the female reproductive system, I have (with the exception PCOS, I haven’t been diagnosed with that yet). I’m excited to start eating sea moss!
If you’re diagnosed with PCOS, then take out all hormonal disruptors in your life. Pretty much anything that ends in paraben, bpa, etc. Throw out all makeup, shampoos, creams, etc. I had them, however they disappeared after I stopped using products with hormonal disruptors.
@Verohb79 I’m not diagnosed with PCOS, but I think I’ll get rid of that stuff because it’s not good for my body anyway.
Fluoride in water interfreres with iodine.
Decades ago they added iodine to bread and beer. In a slice of bread 150 mcg was added , same as the recommended DAILY dosage today! It was also added to salt, until the 1960/70s when the panic on BP started. Taken out of salt then. No wonder most people are deficient. I just added drops of iodine to my drinks recently, and feel so much better for it. I was obviously deficient in it. Thank you Dr Berg for highlighting this.
What brand are you using?

Hey Dr. Berg! Can you tell me the difference between Iodine we consume and Iodine contrast? I am allergic to the contrast, break out in hives. Just wondering why that is. As always, you’ve touched on many things I’ve had over the years and solved the mystery. Thanks so much for another great video! 🤗❤️🙏
Hi.I’m allergic to IV contrast as well. Being In having trouble losing weight, he’s now testing my thyroid for iodine deficiency issues. Out of curiosity. Did you get the COVID shot? I was told not to, due to iodine is in it.
Iodine used topically and orally fixed my daughter’s life threatening mastitis within days. I have always kept kelp granules in a container on the kitchen counter and dip into whenever I see it.
Good morning Dr.Berg!I thank you for teaching us about being healthy and healing ourselves.❤just wondering if you could make a video about toe nails being hardened.😢

Hi Dr Berg,
I’m new to your channel and trying to find my way back to wellness.
Would you recommend taking an iodine supplement for Hashimoto’s? There’s so much conflicting information out there.
I tried one in the past but stopped due to pain in my thyroid area that abated after cessation.
I added too much iodized salt to a meal last night and had the same pain in my neck/thyroid area. Can you shed any light on this?
Thank you in advance!
