Today, I want to share the specific type of protein you should focus on for your specific health concern.

I didn't want to cover plant-based protein or protein powders extensively because it became clear that neither were sufficient sources of protein. It’s not just about getting enough protein. The protein in your body can’t work without vitamins, minerals, and trace minerals.

It’s important to get your protein from high-quality sources. This means obtaining grass-fed, pasture-raised, and wild-caught animal products.

Determining the best type of protein for your needs:
1. Aging
The best types of protein are:
• Eggs
• Oysters or shellfish once a week
• Red meat once or twice a week

    Thank you Dr Berg!!
    😺👍

  2. Great video as usual! Thank you for the information, I’m currently trying to increase my protein levels after having eaten too little over recent years. I’d be interested to know your views of Quorn as a protein source, plus the insect proteins that they are trying to introduce.

  3. Hi Dr Berg – did you discuss chicken livers? I may have missed it but are they a good source of nutrients and are they similar to beef liver? Thanks for everything you do!

  4. I never hear you mentioned lamb meat. And according to what I know, this is one of the best sources of all these vitamins and amino acids… Especially omega-3. It is higher than red meat and the omega-3

  5. I’m glad that a lot of what I’ve been doing, based on your knowledge, lines up with this video right here. Especially when it comes to eggs. I use nutritional yeast, but I could load up on beef liver over the weekends. Thank you for the advice on shellfish, I guess I should avoid Oysters though as I’m trying to maintain a low to no carb diet, as per your instructions.

Thank you always. You’ve literally _turned my life around._ I can remember crying over my digestive issues, while in a burger joint, while literally eating a burger. This was decades ago. The mendacity of corporations should be considered _manslaughter._ I’ve witness the erection of food deserts in low income neighborhoods where I worked, _immediately_ followed by witnessing school age children having seizures on their commutes to and form school, on public transportation. I’ve seen _one too many_ of these episodes, in a short amount of time too. If you want to know why so many people from these areas are unhinged… well there’s your answer.

    Bless you, always.

  6. Hey doc,
I have been living a much healthier, physically more able, and better cognitive life for quite some time now.(many years). I just want to thank you for what you do. You have been part of that foundation. Gratitude 🙏

  7. Dr. Berg thank you for all your information and education started yesterday to reverse my eating pattern Instead of eating left in the afternoon I decided to eat at 1:00 p.m. and still eat once a day like always

  8. Dr Berg, I’m wondering about lamb (mostly the semi-affordable chops and shrimp (wild caught). Also, how about goat? I’ve recently added the lamb a couple times a month after learning that lack of fatty meats can cause Alzheimer’s which all my Atkins diet family get.
As always, great info and thank you.

  9. Dr. Berg,
Thank you so much for your educational and beneficial videos for our health! You explain things so well for others to understand!
    Blessings to you!
