best guess for Eastern Europe having more saunas than the west is the cold weather
It’s certainly a contributor but that’s how cultural selection works
Sauna’s are easy here in South FL – no need to own one or travel to a spa – just go out and walk for 30 – 60 mins anytime of the day between 9am and 6pm. And – you get the benefit of natural sun light to enhance mitochondria.

Science is agnostic in terms of chronological age. Doesn’t matter how old I am when I’m claiming things based on proven studies. I don’t claim anything out of my own ideas. Plus, if you ask the 100 year olds how they lived so long they’ll say something like eating ice cream every night or smoking all their life. Fact of the matter is, the 100 year olds have no idea why or how they lived to 100 – it’s mostly genetics. It’s up for science to figure out the reaspns and reverse engineer the ways to get there.
