Let’s talk about zinc. Zinc is involved in 300 different enzymes and over 1000 factors related to DNA.
Zinc is involved in your sleep cycles, cognitive function, and making neurotransmitters. Having low zinc increases your risk of diabetes.
Zinc also makes up an important group of antioxidants involved with your brain, heart, and muscles. It even helps reduce oxidative stress involved with the mitochondria.
Instead of masking a symptom related to zinc deficiency or any other health issue, it's crucial to get to the deeper problem to help prevent further concerns. Learning how to support a healthy body and avoid health issues or recognize the early stages of one is much more simple than trying to fight a health problem.
Side effects of advanced zinc deficiency can include:
• Loss of appetite
• Necrosis
• Ulcers
• Hypogonadism
• Low testosterone
• Thymus atrophy
• High cortisol
• Muscle loss
The organ that is most affected by zinc deficiency is the pancreas. The most common early sign of zinc deficiency is foul-smelling stool that floats.
Other early signs of zinc deficiency include:
• Shortness of breath upon exertion
• Cramping
• Diarrhea
• Abdominal pain
• Bloating
Top causes of zinc deficiency:
• Lack of zinc in the diet
• Malabsorption
• Inflammation in the gut
• Phytates or phytic acid (grains)
• Consuming sugar
• Diabetes
• Stress
• Drinking alcohol
• Infection
Foods rich in zinc:
1. Oysters
2. Crab
3. Other shellfish
4. Meats
5. Fish
6. Nuts

Thanks for another great informative video Dr, Berg! I have actually been taking zinc supplements since I was in my 20’s, (I’m now in my 60’s) and I’m glad I did, when I was a kid I sometimes got mouth ulcers, never had any again since I started taking zinc.
Now that you mention that, neither have I. They were common all through my childhood and teen years.
Awesome!
Wonderful!
Are you referring to canker sores?
Good to learn more about this. Going to try to incorporate more shellfish into my diet. Thanks Dr. Berg.
Very good. Enjoy!
I’m glad that you are still around Dr Berg with great health content ❤️
Thank you for watching!
@DrEricBergDC doesn’t biofilm steal zinc, magnesium, iron for it’s benefit?
@DrEricBergDC if there is a zinc defiency maybe because biofilm and pathogens are absorbing it, especially around the pancreas?
@Dr. Eric Berg DC Dr. Berg do eggs contain zinc?
My 4 daily immune system boosters are : Zinc, Vitamin C, Vitamin D3, and Quercetin. Loved the Art of War reference.

All the ingredients you need to defeat and overcome Covid. Though, this is beyond Fauci’s understanding.
Awesome. Keep up the good work!

This video is right up my alley! I stopped eating healthy carbs, sugar & all gluten products…ate more beef! Wow…amazing results! I got more zinc than ever before! I am feeling like a new person! Lost weight, sleeping better & more energy than ever! This is a great video…thank You, Mr. Dr. Eric Berg DC!!! 🤗👍🏻
Can I ask you how you lost your weight? The reason I am asking is I have to lose weight and a lot of it!!
@judyyoung9397, basically what I said in the 1st comment…eating beef 🥩 hamburger, steak , country beef ribs & eating salmon . Sometimes sardines & many chicken eggs too! Eliminating carbs, sugar & all gluten products! I eat at around from 10:30am or 11:00am 1st meal, than again 2nd meal is at 5:00pm or 5:30pm. I am not hungry for desserts! The meat satisfies my real hungry pains… it is a life style change. My skin is looking better too! Good luck & better health to you! 👍🏻
Thankyou Dr Berg.. great information.
My dad has issues with the Prostate but 5 to 10 years before he started to lose hair, rashes on the skin, losing appetite, lack of vision, losing the capacity to smell, muscle weakness and he was a zinc deficient now i know but if i knew it then i could helped him to avoid having an hard time with the prostate after this symptoms. because it shows but people go and think its because of aging and that is not 100% fact.

I agree ☝️
@Dr. Eric Berg DCyes! You are a Nobel prize winner in my book! But of course, people like Obama get one for doing nothing but harm!! In my world. . YOU ARE A WINNER!!!🎉❤
Fantastic video, and right on time. I was just taking my morning zinc and having my “4 to 5” eggs. I think I’ve found my sweet spot around 25mg/d. I get energy, clear skin, and an all around good feeling, without any negative side effects. I’m glad that you’re putting this information out there. I feel like zinc deficiency is the number one nutritional crisis in America.
Thank you so much Dr Berg! I think everyone in the world should be following you!!!❤
Awesome video Dr. Berg. Love all your videos. Please suggest veg options also while making videos. Being vegetarian it’s difficult for me to get all vit and minerals 😌
We LOVE YOU Dr. Berg for sharing your knowledge to us all!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You helped me lose weight with keto and OMAD. Now, you are apparently helping me balance my nutrition. Thanks very much.
