  2. I am sensitive to collagen peptides, glycine, NAC etc…
    Glycine makes me dizzy, collagen gives me a sense of doom and depression.
    Both decrease my sleep quality.

    I think you should seriously uncover more potential side effects if you try to educate the entire audience. I am not alone with these symptoms.

  3. If I take 300mg of magnesium glycinate everyday am I already getting enough glycine? No amount is listed just the magnesium. I don’t quite understand chelation other than it makes the magnesium more easily absorbible.

  4. Siim, what are you thoughts on a B-complex? I heard the methyl B12 and the methyl folate are good but there is much contradictions, there is also a study that supplementing with a b complex increases the chances of getting cancer. What are your thoughts on this?

    • My thoughts on health is that everything should come from a natural source as much as possible there is no better B complex than just eating beef liver or chicken liver. Beef liver is better.

      If you hate the taste then you can just buy beef liver in bulk it’s only like $2 a pound throw it in an air fryer at like 120° overnight break it up into pieces and then put into a coffee grinder and make desiccated liver.

  5. At 55 I started supplementing collagen and additional glycine every day a few months ago. Im currently adding 10g of glycine to my pre-lunch or mid afternoon protein shake that has ~15 of whey isolate and 20g of collagen. I recently started take an additional 6g of glycine with 3g of NAC about a half hour before going to bed. Once or twice a week, I’ll take a second protein shake in the early evening that’s the same as my afternoon one. I do believe that the wrinkles i have are reducing.

  6. That scene of you and your girlfriend on the sofa was so adorable!!!! So I supplement with about 13g of glycene in a day. However my NAC supplement comes in a 600mg pill so I take two per day. I heard that the ratio of gly-nac should be 1:1. I weight 54 kg. I am wondering weather I need to increase my NAC dose? On the bottle it says to take two per day.

  7. Currently taking TMG/B12/B6/Folate Mix (have high homocysteine), Collagen Peptides, and now adding Glycine to the mix for daily use. Currently 34 years old. Should I wait to when I am around 45 years of age to add NAC to the mix?

  8. If youthful skin isn’t a priority would you still prioritize collagen as a supplement for the other benefits despite it being relatively expensive?

    • Depends if that increase is compared to a control or to an experimental group that had a methionine rich diet.
      If compared to the control, then yes, if to a methionine diet, then no.

      It should be noted that this doesn’t indicate a diet that excludes meat is optimal for humans, as a diet that includes meat should be nose to tail, which would provide sufficient glycine and therefore eliminate the effect of an imbalanced glycine-methionine ratio.

  10. Do you need to megadose leucine in order to be able to utilize the megadose of glycine? I was under the the impression the leucine limited the the other amino acids.

  11. I am taking one teaspoon NAC and two teaspoons glycine at bedtime. I noticed I sleep better and less urination at night.
