Well, the diet in the Sardinian blue zone is different from the rest of Sardinia. The blue zone in Sardinia isnt the complete island but only the central eastern part. Doesnt matter what the rest of Sardinians ate when they’re not a blue zone

about Sardegna, he discovered people from Sardegna have have Genetic Disformation on the X Chromosom… Of course I traveled the whole Island… I personally looks 15 Years younger then my Age… Because of my Sardegna blood.. If you are really in Longavity and take it seriously, you have to go there

Exactly. They haven’t lived 80+ years in a polluted environment, eating ultra processed foods/ high sugar while sitting on their butts. Combine that with a good genetic profile, and obviously you’re going to live to a ripe old age.

Hi Siim, I’d love a full day of eating video from yourself. I’d trust the way you eat over anyone else on this planet.
No mention of eggs. One of the easiest proteins to produce if you are poor and living a simple life.
I must be doing something wrong cuz pasture raised eggs in the US is $6.99 per dozen (no they don’t allow raising chicken in the city).
The elephant in the room is the height of those people… Why does nobody talk about the height?

@Chris Brown Blue zones tend to have much shorter people than average which may account for their increase in longevity. And as the comment above suggests, there might be an U curve relationship with height.

@siimland Are these studies looking at the diet of a typical person in these regions, or of the people who became very old, who by definition are not that typical? Wouldn’t the latter be more interesting? Is the former even that relevant?
I think these people living past 100 just have good longevity genetics, more than based on what they eat. My neighbor was from a blue-zone, used to eat conventional grocery store foods at older age, and lived until a healthy 102 years old.
People who say it’s just genetics are making excuse for themselves. Similar to people who have MTHFR mutation and blame all their conditions on it instead of learning what to do about it and doing it. It important to find the nutrient that matches with your genetic mutation and optimizing your own metabolic pathway, there isn’t a one diet for all.

It’s questionable whether all these blue zones’ really do live “that” long. There’s also a possibility of (purposefully) lost birth documents for earlier social benefits.

Are these people strong healthy and have a good amount of muscle mass and they’re not fat pains do they look hideously old? Do their bodies still function well??
