Eggs are one of the most healthy foods in the world. Today, I want to cover the top things many people don’t know about eggs.

Interesting facts about eggs you may have never heard:
1. 65.9 percent of all chickens in the US are in cages.

2. Less than six percent of egg and chicken production is organic. Organic, pasture-raised eggs and chickens are best.

3. Egg yolks are the second best source of the active form of vitamin A, called retinol. Vitamin A has a myriad of health benefits.

4. Egg yolks are the best source of choline, which supports the liver, brain, and parasympathetic nervous system.

5. Egg yolks are a more concentrated source of protein than egg whites.

6. The egg yolk contains the majority of nutrients in the egg.

    • The most important thing about the egg white :
      is filled with Deuterium.
Deuterium = Blockage in the Electron transport chain in the Mitochondrial nucleus .

    • @Dr. Eric Berg DCdr berg jus few day ago I heard abt Egg consumption on a daily basus increase the risk of diabetes . Also I saw article supporting this . What is this ? 😢 can you respond

    • @Dr. Eric Berg DC I’m not sure how to get a message to you. I was wondering if you can do a video on camel’s milk and the best source to purchase? Please. Thank you! I love your video I have learned so much!

  1. My consumption of eggs has increased by a huge amount since subscribing to your channel. A pack of six would have lasted me a couple of weeks, to now pretty much eating them every day, mostly with a salad. I`ve even switched to organic but its disappointing to hear that in many cases the chickens might still not be raised well. Thanks again for all the useful information you give us and sucks boo to YouTube!

    • If you can afford it, look for the vital farms, pasture raised. These are organic eggs and have a lot more of the vitamins and minerals in them compared to the traditional ones he talks about downside is the price.

    • Are chickens that are raised well pampered and coddled? If they are, is that how you get coddled eggs?🤪😊

  2. I use the yolks for my homemade Caesar dressing. I reserve the whites for bone broth and make egg drop soup (with some other delightful ingredients). I try to buy the pasture raised every chance that I get, and the stores are catching on with the nutrient value of these eggs because the price has increased by 30-40% in the last couple of years, but they are still worth it.

  3. Thank you Dr Berg for ALL the incredible helpful health information over the years.
Wishing you the abundant blessings you seek, & many more happy successes
In the years to come. 🎉🎉🎉

  4. I have been eating boiled eggs these last couple of days and I have become obsessed 😂 I was never this much into them. Have been pairing them with steamed broccoli. As always, amazing informative content ❤

  5. I’m most surprised by the 5.8% of eggs being truly organic, and I’m proud to say my chickens are a part of that

  6. For me it was less than 6% are organic. I thought it was around 33%. I will have to check with my farmers market and hope I can find some pasture raised eggs at better pricing.
I also need to start eating more eggs daily.
Thank you Dr. Berg for another great video. 😃

  7. Moved to Tennessee and for over the last year I have been raising and caring for my own chickens…free ranging in my yard every day.❤
Thankyou for you work and videos!

  8. I already had an idea that most of the nutrients were in the egg yolk, but I didn’t know the whites had much of anything, especially B2 or B3. I think the most shocking and disturbing fact is 65% of chickens living in cages and only 5% being “organic.” I checked Cornucopia’s website, and it was pretty cool! When it comes to food, I wish we could go back to somewhat simpler times.

  9. Just finished eating an egg and subscribed to your news letter. Thank you Dr. Berg for everything you do. Cheers from Cambodia.

  10. I absolutely went to three eggs a day as I leaned into a low carb diet. I have had chronic dry eye so bad that I had filaments in my eyes. It is not nearly as bad as it was. Also, I am 65, and even my doctors are amazed at how I look. People literally do a double take. It’s got to be the retinol. I have never used a filler or anything. Just good moisturizers.

  11. As a former vegan, I began eating local farm pasture raised eggs because of your videos talking about eggs.

  12. The surprise for me was that eggs were a good source of Vit A! I’ve not been a big egg eater, but because of variants I’m known to have in several of my methylation & BCMO1 genes (I have a greatly reduced ability to convert beta-carotene to vit A), it’s recommended that i need choline & vit A. I also have Hashimoto’s (for over 25 yrs and have trouble converting T4-T3). So for a year now I’ve ben supplementing with phosphatidylcholine and extra thyroid meds. Maybe all i need to do is EAT EGGS. All these years (I’m 72) i feared that eggs would raise my cholesterol levels.😮

  13. Extremely educational thank you Dr. Berg for bringing this to our awareness once again. Happy health to everyone.

  14. I new most of the chickens were raised in cages but I was not aware of the percentage! I was lucky to have lived in the country for some years and ate truly organic food.
A very good friend referred me to your content Dr. Berg, and I’d say it is the best advise I’ve been given. Your content is amazing, life changing. ♥

  15. Since I’m being regular on this channel. I knew every fact that you repeated except that exact percent of organic egg. The knowledge that you provide is genuine and improved my health exponentially. Being an ex alcoholic and ex smoker, my body healed itself rapid fast when I started intermediate fasting and keto diet. Eggs are included in my daily diet and it was happy get reminded the good I’m doing for my body. Really motivates me.
