If you live in a house in the uk and it is not a new build, you get so much draft it equates a decent level of constant fresh air
LOL
You’re lucky
Don’t tell this to my wife! This is a constant battle in our home. She likes the window open even if it’s 30 degrees!!!
Is your wife @stefanie7588 😂 she’s the comment above yours and she commented she will forward this to her husband who hates when she opens the window lol
@AmWe love Dr.Berg. You guys are killing me with awesome comments😅😅🤣.
@stephaniepetion6100 thank you I feel special 😂
@AmI went lol-ed here too.😁
AFAIK plants do not produce o2 without light.
instead their respiration system releases co2
Yes, you are correct. This is why most hospitals do not let you have plants in the room.
Indirect sunlight is enough for plants to grow and produce oxygen through photosynthesis. And get a pothos plant. They can grow in just fertilized water —- even in a bathroom with no windows. 👍🏼
exactly what I thought. I just looked it up while writing my comment, and apparently the co2 produced by plants at night is very minimal, so if you don’t make a jungle out of your bedroom you should be fine.
Thanks Dr. Berg. I’m forwarding this to my husband who doesn’t like it when I open the windows.
SAME!
get a divorce.
Thanks Dr Berg I find all your videos so serendipities and timely . I always sleep with a window open even in winter as I find it helps me sleep better. I love fresh air circulating in the home. I also have plants near where I sleep too. Please keep making these videos for those of us who need them. I have benefitted so much from watching these video clips. ❤🙏👏
Which is why I always have a window open in all kinds of weather. Even a little open will help with the air quality in your home.
I always sleep with the bedroom door open, furnace fan on, and ceiling fan on. Severe allergies make it difficult to breathe without air flow in my room. And the furnace fan on keeps my whole apartment flowing so there’s never any air quality issues known.
You need a lot of detoxing
I wish i could sleep with windows open, my allergies are too bad. Will look into plants.😊
Dr Berg, keep up the great work!
I’m glad you’re enjoying my content!
Thank you Dr Berg! I always find that if I can’t sleep, I open a window and it helps so much. I just hadn’t given thought to the cause. Makes perfect sense
So true doc…
I have myself experienced it. But.., winters.., it gets so chilly and cold though I try to open at least in the living room. May be.., having plants is a great alternative option!! Thank you so much for always touching upon small.., simple but important matters.👍🙏🙏
You may want to research that first because plants take in oxygen and release CO2 in the dark
I always use fans to keep air flow moving. Never slept better!
On average, you will need around 300-500 plants to produce enough oxygen for one person. One leaf produces around five millilitres of oxygen per hour.
Yeah exactly.
Always sleep with my windows wide open but not when bush fires or people burning off because of my asthma. ❤
Thanks Dr B, this is good info. God bless.
No problem. Same to you.
Dr. I do the opposite. I sealed off window of my room completely by transparent plastic sheet. There is so much air pollution where I live.
Sorry to hear that
Product this man at all costs
Yes i cant sleep without the window cracked a little open. My body will wake up hot, dehydrated. In fact twice I woke up by a voice calling my name and I couldnt breathe, I had the vent and windows closed. I feel it was my angels waking me up so I can get some air. Since then I always make sure to sleep with ventilation. Even when its freezing cold.
Back in the day, hospital staff took plants out of the room at night.
Yeah because plants take in oxygen at night and release CO2. Who wants that???
I am so glad that I purchased some plants for my bedroom. I will also start opening my window while I sleep too.
