can you eat the raw cocao nibs?? I’m not sure
Good question!I want to know that too
yes you can but you must grind it to powder first bc it may cause apendicite in the long term use if hard eaten
Do you recommend ‘NoordCode Organic Power Cacao’, and does the product have ‘Flavanols’ in it?
Not all of us have access to cocoa beans
Me neither but I’m hoping there are some of these flavanols in cocoa powder. I make a hot chocolate with one spoon of cocoa powder, some erythritol and whatever milk I am using at that time, be it plant based or cow’s milk. It’s really nice first thing on a cold winter’s morning.
Just get 100% dark chocolate.
Lots of oxalates.

I can only find processed cocoa powder, is thst also fine to use?
No thanks
Heavy metals?
The paste of the ground cacao beans: Cacao mass, cacao paste and cacao liquor refer to the same thing. Also known as unsweetened baking chocolate or bitter chocolate
With powder the solids are separated from the fat. Then blended, which could lose nutrients from heat. Instead, you get the benefits of the whole bean in its natural matrix, so powder plus all fats (including oleic acid) it’s also fermented and processed with a controlled temperature.
Powdered caocao and ground flax seeds and blueberries makes a good breakfast brownie.
For practical purposes I stick to my 92% dark chocolateπ
I was a happy dark chocolate eater until I found out that majority contain cadmium and lead.
The problem is that some of the cocoa genes cause lead, cadmium and other heavy metals to accumulate in the seeds.
I love dark chocolate but Iβm afraid of high levels of lead and cadmium π’
