In this video, I’m going to tell you how to have more energy every day without using stimulants like coffee or energy drinks!

Coffee doesn't give you energy. It gets rid of the fatigue molecule so that you don’t feel tired. Glucose and sugar might seem to give you an energy boost, but they actually make you tired!

Here are 7 ways to raise your energy levels naturally without a crash.

1. Magnesium
Magnesium is a cofactor to make ATP, which is like the battery source for the body. The #1 symptom of low magnesium is fatigue. Magnesium-rich foods include spinach, almonds, avocado, and fish.

2. Sodium-potassium pump
The sodium-potassium pump in your cells allows you to generate an electrical charge that powers your muscles and your nervous system. Adequate sodium and potassium intake is crucial for healthy energy levels. Electrolyte powder can help if you’re not consuming enough sodium and potassium from your diet.

3. Mitochondrial biogenesis
Creating more mitochondria through consistent exercise can boost energy levels. Fasting, intermittent fasting, cold therapy, and polyphenols can also increase mitochondria. Polyphenols are found in certain vegetables, herbs, berries, and dark chocolate.

4. Ketones
If you follow a keto diet, you can get your body running on ketones. Ketones produce more energy than glucose.

5. Carnitine
Carnitine is a compound that can help transport fat into the mitochondria. Carnitine helps increase exercise endurance, delays the fatigue factor, and acts as an antioxidant to decrease damage in the muscles. Red meat is the best source of carnitine.

6. Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar can be used by the mitochondria as fuel. Add one tablespoon to a glass of water each day.

7. B vitamins
B vitamins are intimately involved with every part of your mitochondria that generates ATP from your food. Nutritional yeast is one of the best sources of B vitamins.

  1. I get different levels of energy depending on the color of my water. “Sun-water” 🎉 Thanks, kindly Dr. Berg, and have a great day, everyone! 🙂

  2. Love this! Please make a video on what time you go to bed, what you eat & drink first thing to the last of the day and all your vitamins😁

  3. So true Dr Berg! Sugar appears to be “helpful” with energy – but it is short sighted. I used to consume a crazy amount of candy, soda…. Every day. I had migraines, PMS, anxiety, depression, fatigue. Since I ditched the ultra processed garbage and look to foods for nutrients – my symptoms are gone.

You talked about the mitochondria – a crucial topic for optimization of health. I love that you use a food first approach, rather than still consuming garbage but adding in a bucket of supplements.

    Another great video!

  4. All I do in the morning is long walks (6,000 steps) and Electrolytes. With IF and Keto, I am alert throughout the day, focused and energetic.

  5. MCT also gives ton of energy and can also be combined with keto or low carb. Basically eating coconut oil also helps

    • I been putting that in my coffee along with my collagen peptides and when I was working out this morning I was noticing I had so much more energy to get the workout done.

  6. Love how blunt and straight to the point you are, Dr Berg 😂. You’re so right, Keto improved my health and energy levels. Keep strong spreading the word 💯👍🏻

  7. What we like about you is that you’re one of us, but you figured it out and now you’re inviting us to join you in health. Much respect.

  8. I also have noticed once you cut off Sugar, processed food, and go eating just a little food… later on a few days the amount of pure energy you have is unbelievable. And you feel very light and energetic.

    • i eat whatever i want but limit my added sugar intake and run 25+ miles a week and swim and im in the best shape of my life

    • @@awxuh9940I use to eat whatever I wanted minus the added sugar. Then age caught up with me. Now I definitely don’t eat whatever I want.

    • The absolute MOST important thing that I’ve noticed that’s beneficial to having great energy levels throughout the day is definitely the fasting part, as in how often (or rather how relatively infrequently) you eat, and I only eat once a day, (OMAD), and I always have plenty of energy, pretty much regardless of WHAT I eat when I DO eat.

You can further enhance this energy of course, by also eating very healthy and nutrient dense food during your one meal a day, but the FREQUENCY of eating has even MORE of a significant impact on your energy levels than your specific DIET or food choices, in my experience.

Once your body is used to eating only once a day then you’re running on ketones whenever you’re not eating actual food, and once you get into that rhythm you have seemingly endless energy, and as long as you get in at least a semi decent and reasonably complete meal when you’re finally truly hungry for actual food, then you can easily go another 20+ hours or so between your next meal the next day.

    • YES i’ve dome that too and in just a few weeks i felt a drastic difference in my energy. It really is so simple yet hard for people to understand or commit to
