Flabby arms can be a frustrating problem for many individuals, especially as they age. The loss of muscle mass and strength in this area can not only affect physical appearance but also limit daily activities and overall quality of life. In addition to sarcopenia, the process of age-related muscle loss, flabby arms can also be caused by weakened fascia.

Fascia is a connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles and other structures in the body. Without proper maintenance and movement, it can become tight or restricted, leading to a decreased range of motion and weakness in the associated muscles. This is why targeting both the muscles and fascia is crucial for effectively improving flabby arms.

Functional exercises, which involve multi-joint movements that mimic everyday tasks, are key to targeting muscle and fascial health. Working multiple muscles and joints at once helps strengthen and activate the surrounding fascia, which can lead to tighter, more toned arms with improved strength and function.

To incorporate exercises into your routine to help improve the fascia, I recommend trying out the three workout videos linked above. These videos focus on a variety of movements that target the arms, shoulders, and fascia for a well-rounded approach to flabby arm reduction.

    😺👍

    • I feel chest congestion age 20 years after eating 3 eggs or more how to deal with it I want to eat more eggs pls reply

    • I’m 64 and I’m still pumping iron. My 73 year old neighbor lady asked what to do about this problem. I told her to do arm exercises. Especially the triceps. But of course she does nothing. It’s like a balloon…ad air ( muscle) and the balloon becomes more stiff and ridged. Lose air and it loses both.

    • @@Bittuji-oi3xe eat only when hungry and avoid carbs and sugars..i eat 2 only per day

  2. boy, do I need this, I’m old….. thank you SO much- just went to her video and saved the whole thing so I can start doing this.!!!!!!

  3. Damn with all 12 million of Dr. Bergs subscribers going over to her channel, she’s gonna get youtube famous!

  4. If you want to really do some great muscle workout, look up classical stretch… She’s been doing this for years and now her daughter has taken over her work. Miranda is awesome…

  5. Show someone 65 or older having success with this. Thin young instructors never have the issue.

  6. Wow! How did you know what I’ve been stressing over! Now Dr. Berg is a mind reader!🤦🏽‍♀️..Thanks!

  7. I’m really grateful that Eric decided to share his wisdom with us on the internet. I recommend his channel to my friends more than any other.

  8. I’m a senior now but I still have no problem in that area, I’m still toned, no flab, in Basic training we focused on shoulders/arms alot, no weights, running/jogging to cadances up to nine miles a day…….Summer is here get toned up, ladies, it looks amazing in sleeveless tops👍🏽

  9. People, exercising is for life. Im 64 5’10 173 and still pumping iron until I die. Im tired of people my age asking me what do i do …. i tell them …. start lifting weights. And they do NOTHING. Im on my way outside to my concrete patio to do triceps which prevents this from happening.

    • 😂 Just like when people ask.. ‘ How do ya play guitar 🎸 like that without looking at your hands?’
      😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅

  10. Your timing is perfect! I was noticing my flabby arms. I am a Massage Therapist over 35 years. Take care of my own home. Always on them move. Would like to have a better tone in my arms.

  11. I’ll be 67 in August, I’m 5’4″ 120 to 124 lbs. I power walk, swim in the summer, do strength training with dumbells and bands and still I have loose arm skin. Some procedures on leg veins last year for a whole year and covid November 2023 has kept me from working out. Most recently I’m now doing yoga with a lovely young lady on YouTube, Adriene. Well, now thanks to you I’m going for a new workout with this young lady. I’m starting later today. Thank you, Dr. Berg ❤

    • Do more weight exercises with weights. Triceps …. biceps . Plenty of information on the internet. Doing yoga is like stretching not lifting weights and isn’t going to do a thing for your loose skin. Building muscle fills in empty spots.

  12. Can many of us say, if only I stayed, or tried to stay in shape over the years, I wouldn’t be faced with all these fix it issues.

    • I can say it. 64 5’10 173 and still pumping iron until I die. Most people use the excuse …. I’m old.

  13. I am 74 female, i have been doing tons of physical labor forever. Lawnn mowing horse work house work furniture moving soil moving. Etc etc i have muscled arms. Man size.

  14. All the women in my family have always had these arms. I currently have a BMI of 20 and have always had these big floppy arms. When I’m driving a car and holding the steering wheel out of the corner of my eye, I can see the movement of my arms. From a young age, I’ve always had dimpled thighs too. No matter how much I exercise.

  15. ❤ Excellent! Thanks for showing us a new way to work on these areas!
I am a Myofascial Release Therapist, trained with John F. Barnes, PT Method. We are always releasing the tense/restricted fascia but not talking about the other side of the coin. Which, in my opinion, is how we train the body in a new holding pattern that is more flexible and resilient than before! I have followed your videos for years now and I have received so much wonderful information. I hope to hear more from on the subject of resilient flexible fascia! 😊

  16. Finally someone is talking about fascia! As a myofascial therapist. It is great that you have highlighted the importance of this tissue. 😃
