In this video, we’re going to talk about one of the worst foods you could eat, especially for liver health. There are generally very few symptoms of liver problems. When I had liver problems, I experienced right shoulder blade pain and pain beneath my right rib cage.
It’s a myth that liver damage is permanent. The liver is one of the only organs that can regenerate itself 100%. Another myth is that the liver is filled with toxins. The liver detoxifies poisons, it doesn't store them.
The worst “food” or ingredient for your liver is seed oils. Seed oils are damaging, inflammatory, and high in omega-6 fats, specifically linoleic acid. Lard contains about 2.5% linoleic acid, and tallow only contains 0.7%. Corn oil contains 56.6% linoleic acid!
Seed oils contain oxidized linoleic acid that can cause significant oxidative damage in the body, especially in the liver and the nervous system.
The average diet is 25 to 30% seed oils, which is too much. Seed oils become lodged in our fat cells and the membranes surrounding the nervous system and can remain there for 2 to 3 years.
Seed oils can’t be used for energy. They inflame the liver and contribute to insulin resistance. You should avoid seed oils, including canola oil, soy oil, and cottonseed oil, which are commonly labeled as vegetable oil.
Always check food labels and avoid seed oils and foods that contain them. Replace seed oils with oils high in omega-3 fatty acids rather than omega-6. Reduce your consumption of grain-fed animal products and look for grass-fed meats.

Thank you 🤗
Wow. Thank you ever so much 👏🏾
Thank you so much.
I have a fatty liver and didn’t realise how dangerous seed oils are.
Something to watch out for in the future.
Thank You ❤️
Seed oils

Yeah. My diet is poor due to living situation.

It’s nice to know that the damage can be reversed
Although disheartening to learn the seed oils can remain in the liver for up to 2-3 years! 😮
It aamazes me how adaptive the body is
At some points tho
@@JennWatson 🤣
i am living proof. I ate so much sugar. in the forms of milk choclate. which is 100 gr 50 grams of sugar, and I ate them plenty.
everyone needs to know this fact, very important
Seed oils in cheap plastic containers is the icing on the cake.

Okay, So, Which Vegetable Oil would Be The Best , Beside the Olive oil ??
@@bustjanzupan1074 avocado oil.
Cold pressed virgin (or so they say) unrefined sunflower seed oil, too?
I grew up in a house where only 2 types of oil were used: extra virgin olive oil and butter. I’ve always stuck to that.
Butter 🧈 only
@@LOVE-JC777 Avocado oil, coconut oil, lard, ghee
I do that too, but now I’ve added tallow. Seems to cover all my needs.
All animal fats are perfect
Growing up in the 70’s and 80’s we used Margerine, seed oils and Crisco. Back then they said those were healthier. 😖
The most dangerous part is ‘the damage’ is hidden & silent!
Medicine also could go according to it’s damage & recovery plan.
The fact people can become almost lifetime alcoholics speaks volume of just how strong your liver is. Dont take it for granted just because its such a power house.
I think there is a difference in how or even if a liver can heal depending on whether the damage is non alcoholic vrs alcoholic. Once the liver is scarred too severely(cirrhosis of the liver) it just can’t regenerate and can’t function. My sister died from cirrhosis of the liver, some people think drinking alcohol every day is ok, but in reality, when it’s too late, it’s too late.
My friend died of alcoholism. It does take an awful toll. She was too young.
Srry bout sister,I have cirrhosis but stopped drinking 16yrs ago was diagnosed 2014 and I have had many of these symptoms weakness all the time, but I have quite a few good days too,its hard to figure out like atm i feel great…but Tomorrow i might not
I drink and eat not right well what they say….processed food I’m obese diebetic 2 and heart starting to cause some prblms. The liver though ultrasounds say no ascites but theres light scarring no cancer…..and I’ve had this cirrhosis for how long?
@@scotcharron1679So what’s the abbreviation for “atm” mean? Was it “A total mystery” , maybe! LoL!!!
All seed oils should be banned for human consumption.
All seeds are not the same bruh. Every plant has a seed. Coffee is also basically a seed juice . Get your head out of your behind
Olive oil and sometimes avocado oil
Well, they try to banned illegal drugs and no results. Freedom is better. Survival of the smart.

I’m 72 and I remember when I was young everything was cooked in Lard. I was always at the butchers buying a 1LB of lard for my mother. Never did us any harm.
I recently started using lard for steak. They give it away for free here when you buy any meat. And butter for salmon. mm mm good.
Nowadays lard is supposed to be good.
I read memoirs of people who lived to be some of the oldest on Earth. Many of them talk about eating pork in lard fat everyday and I was shocked.
Yep, and the food tasted better. Then came Hydrogenated Crisco. Wow what a great life saver. It can last on the shelf forever.
No, it made your generation grow old. The only one before and after
Huge factor: grocery shop on a full or caffeinated state. You’ll just keep choosing better & better. Shop by knowledge not by cravings..
Drugging yourself with caffeine is not wise.
@@ericp6496 caffeine is a drug, yes. But it’s not a dangerous or highly addictive drug. As long as you’re only consuming it in, say 1 cup of coffee, you’ll be fine. You’re not “drugging” yourself.

Why can’t we sue these companies?
You can.
We totally can, but for it to truly be effective it’d have to be a massive class action situation on multiple companies for it truly to be effective and even then it might be opening a Pandora’s box.
RFK Jr. is a lawyer (also running for pres.) will clean up the FDA responsible for our shity foods. He has already sued and won against Monsanto.
Because nobody’s forcing you to eat it
@@soyasibonnie the fact he is running for president automatically disqualifies him for helping people.
1. Remove seed oils from your diet and read the ingredient labels
2. Consume more omega 3 fatty acids
3. Decrease animal foods that have omega 6 fatty acids and replace them with grass fed animal foods i.e. grass fed beef, buffalo, etc. + cruciferous vegetables.
I live in the UK, come from Poland, neither of the two label the beef what type it is, grain feed, grass fed, definitely no differentiation between grass fed grain finished etc.
What do I do with this?
I was only able to find grass fed tallow from amzn…
@@Arek_R.generally, grass fed is a premium product and will be labeled as “grass fed”. If the label does not specify whether other is grass fed or grain fed you ought to assume it is grain fed. An exception would be in an area where all of the local cattle eat only grass. In that scenario you might assume it is grass fed because that is the only beef available.
Hi Im in the UK too. 87% of beef cattle are only fed on forage (hay, grass and silage) the other 13% have a small amount of cereals, usealy only in winter. Hope that helps.@@Arek_R.
Not sure what your options are in the UK. I live in Oklahoma in the US. 10 years ago I drove out to the country, knocked on a ranchers door and bought a steer from him. He takes it the butcher for me, and I go pick the meat up. It’s more expensive, but I know the beef is grass fed, and I know exactly where it came from. I have been doing the same thing for 10 years now. I know not everyone has the space to store a whole steer. But if you do, I would highly recommend this option over buying from the grocery store. If you can’t afford to pay for the whole steer at once, find a neighbor, or family member that is up for it, and each of you pay for a side of beef.
Yes lol Don’t forget the OXALATES
The answer: seed oil – very inflammatory and very damaging
thank you for getting to the point
Dr. Berg is speaking facts/truth!
I have gotten so much education on food Ingredients, and seed oils from these invaluable videos!
I am now petrified of buying almost any kind of outside food.
99% of the restaurants, grill joints, and etc; use Soybean oil, instead of
Olive or avocado oils!
You should never heat Olive Oil. Avacado oil is fine, but never olive oil. The best to use is Tallow, Ghee, or Butter.

Now I realize when the obesity rate started to explode
After seed oil started to be widely used
Seed oil can become trans fat when heated
I stopped eating salads at restaurants because many use those fake oils in their salad dressing. They get it in bulk too. They don’t make their own. Some don’t even have Olive Oil at all unless you go to a true Italian restaurant. How can you serve Italian dressing with canola or corn oil? I bring it home and use my own. Same with all the salad dressing bottles sold in the stores. I think I found two that used Olive Oil only. Many say Olive Oil on the front but ingredients show canola or corn as first and Olive oil as second or third ingredient, not to mention some other ingredients that I wouldn’t even know how to pronounce. Definitely a pass. These fake oils are in everything, bread, cakes, cookies, creams, coffee creamers, candy, fried foods, frozen dinners, and zillion more, items that are being consumed the most. No wonder we have so many unhealthy people that are not only overweight but also obese. Too much junk food.
THIS!!💯💯💯💯💯
10000% I just went full carnivore a year ago. I love veg but its too toxic now a days anyways. Unless you grow it your self in a green house.
I bring my own EVOO and balsamic mix from home when I eat out. Small jar, shake it, pour it on the “no dressing” salad I ordered.
Subway says they have olive oil but when researched it was 50 vegetable oil
@@user-es9mb8wi3m yes, sometimes I do that too, but I usually pass on the salad or the veggies unless I make my own. I stick to the main course, meat, little potatoes or rice and I’m fine. The veggies are usually soaked in some oil and they are either undercooked or overcooked. No go for me.
I had an uncle who passed away of liver and bile duct cancer the spread to his pancreas as well and he really had no symptoms until his last 6 months but the doctor said his cancer was probably growing for 2.5 years, so I urge everyone to take care of your liver and if you can afford to do so get a fibroscan which will look at whether you have any scar tissue ,fatty liver, or any tumours. Once your liver is damaged you are in for a lot of suffering. Stay healthy everyone ❤ Thank you Dr. Berg!
I have a female friend that was at death’s door with alcoholic liver failure at 64, then again at 70! She was inches from death, ICU…taking meds to flush ammonia from her system. She survived and is thriving at 73, alcohol free , walking, taking classes and crafting! Sees a liver specialist frequently and a walking miracle! It’s not too late! That liver can bounce back!
Did she get a transplant?
