Many people believe that raw milk is the number one cause of pathogens in dairy, but is it the raw milk itself causing the problem, or is it contaminated milk? It's important to remember that just because something is pasteurized doesn't automatically make it safe.

It's also important to understand that E. coli is not just found in raw milk but can be present in pasteurized milk, too. In fact, we all have E. coli bacteria in our gut right now, which helps with digestion. The problem arises when certain strains of E. coli become pathogenic due to unsanitary conditions on the farm where the milk is produced.

This is why knowing where you're getting your dairy products from is crucial, and ensuring that the farm follows strict hygiene protocols. If proper precautions are taken and the farm is clean, raw milk can be a beneficial option.

One of the main benefits of consuming raw milk and raw milk cheese is that they contain enzymes that aid digestion. For example, lactase helps break down lactose (milk sugar) making it easier to digest for those intolerant to lactose. Raw dairy products also contain probiotic-friendly bacteria that support our immune system and gut health.

Research has shown that children who consume raw milk have lower incidences of asthma, allergies, ear infections, and respiratory infections than those who consume pasteurized milk.

Choosing high-quality raw dairy products from grass-fed cows also provides additional benefits, such as higher levels of essential minerals, including calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which can aid in weight loss and have anti-inflammatory effects.

Of course, it's important to research and purchase grass-fed raw dairy products from a reputable source that prioritizes cleanliness.

  1. Yes,my grandparents had cows and I had raw milk and nothing is wrong with it!They lived a long healthy life!

    • Raised on a large farm! Fresh meat, milk, butter, ice cream and vegetables. My family still has one of the old butter churns!

    • I was raised on a farm, and I moved back 3 years ago. I still don’t have courage to drink raw milk, even tough it’s my goat and everything is organic. I’ll check the video tough, went str8 to the comment section xD

    • In many places these days you can only find milk in boxes that don’t need refrigeration until open. I make cheeses, so I watch channels about cheese making and you’d be amazed if you read the comments. For example, I learned that the boxed stuff is all you can find in the Philippines.

    • @@claralaclette4918did u ever wonder why there’s no cheese ice cream (not cheesecake ice cream) in the US, but we have it in the Philippines.

  2. Are it over ten years and fed it to my children from a cooperative where we all bought in on the cows. Not once was there any adverse reactions in our family or the other member families. All of us were wonderfully healthy!

  3. Raised on a dairy farm. Fresh milk everyday, right from the tank. How did i ever survive to be 64 5’10 173 and still pumping iron. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

    • My Mom grew up on a farm drinking milk every meal. She continued that habit. She is almost 92 and she is strong, feisty and still walks with a walker and has all her own teeth. No arthritis either.

    • @kathytegreene1562  some people smoke cigarettes til that age too and the same coild be said for them. Are cigarettes therefore necessarily healthy?

  4. The problem with most people is not that they do not want raw milk/cheese. It’s the government making it almost impossible to get it.

    • Some people travel out of state to get raw milk . This is the world we live in. Luckily for me is 35 miles drive in state of Pennsylvania.

    • You can buy raw milk at a healthy pet Shop. IT says not for human consumption but its raw milk. In va I think u only get raw milk if u lease a cow.

    • I make cheese from raw milk that I get from my cow. People like the cheese, but one person once said that it tasted different from what they’re used to. So that person liked it because it’s healthy, but it wasn’t what they expected or craved.

People are just used to all the crap, like the newer generations would find a natural sky weird because it’s not what they’ve seen all their lives. 😞

  5. I’ve been saying this on my channel for years BUT I get my videos removed if I even mention the words RAW MILK. THANKFULLY, the truth is finally getting out there.

Been drinking raw milk for over 15 years and raising two strong boys with it. Never had a single issue.

    • Figure out a way to repackage your message? Call it by a different name, or say it’s dangerous with a ? but in details describe the benefits? I’m too lazy to create a channel myself if I’m honest! Keep trying! 😊

  6. The only type of cow milk my daughter can drink is raw milk. We pick it up at a nearby biodynamic farm. She is 14 now and still LOVES when we get the fresh milk. At this point in time I very often do the opposite of what I am programmed to think by the mass media 😅 Greetings from Denmark

  7. Living in Cabo has benefits one of which is being able to get raw goat and cheese for the past 14 years. Goat milk is delicious.

  8. my grandparents were dairy farmers and i was fed raw milk as a baby. i’m 65 now and i still drink it when i can find it.

  9. I’ve been drinking raw cows milk for 15 years.. a gallon a week, and it keeps me going and keeps me healthy

  10. My grandparents drank raw milk for the majority of their lives. My grandmother lived to 108.

    • Oh wow what a blessing. My mother raised me and my siblings on raw milk. She is 80 years old and still very strong and active. She has fallen 2 times over the past 2 years. Miraculously she only suffered bumps and bruises & NO broken bones. She is a strong and vibrant lady. She is also my caretaker. I’m 47 and have been disabled since my early 30’s. I’m fortunate enough to have 2 fabulous people caring for me. My mother & my older sister. I’m truly blessed in that area.

  11. I drank goat milk when Im babies to cure respiratory infections. But its really weird people hesitate to drink raw milk but just drink ton of galloon of Americano, coca cola and other soft drink everyday even though they know the consequences of it.

    • Welcome to the land of the free and home of the braves, where people aren’t free to wear jewelry on the streets due to armed thugs, children can’t play outside without having to worry about stray bullets and citizens can’t escape from the IRS in this world

  12. This is exactly why this doctor is so loved. He gives the patients the tools to get involved in their own wellness. People never are completely honest with anyone about their lives for fear of being judged. This way if the patient has the information they can experiment and have a better idea of what questions to ask their doctor and have an overall better and efficient conversation with them.

  13. I was a dairy technician. Contaminated milk is because of cleaning their tanks and equipment and antibiotics. Nothing more.

    • @loripiontek Yep, same deal with the ice tea at a fast food places. Some places you can taste the chemicals. Recently some changes have been made and some now use plastic container bags to go into the tea dispenser. So the tea gets poured into the tea “bladder” – a fresh bag / bladder everytime, just like some baby bottles. So the outer tea container / dispenser made of metal and plastic that gets cleaned with chemicals – or doesn’t get cleaned… no longer touches the fresh liquid tea inside. Big improvement. Now as long as they clean the spiggot properly and keep their fingers out of the cup – we are safe.

    • To add to that, my great grandfather was running a small farm about the time government took up pasteurization as gospel. And something interesting came to light. Because he was adamant about cleaning evey udder [not just teats] as a cow was brought in to milk… he actually had lower bacteria counts than some farms AFTER pasteurizing. Also, the barn was modified with a scoop system to remove dung, so it wouldn’t get tracked around – and the barn got washed down several times a day. The regulators, with narrative in hand, were near apoplectic because he broke their paradigm – so they ordered him to install pasteurization equipment anyway [or else].

  14. I’m Dave and I requested this video. I grew up on a farm and now as a middle aged man I live on a little homestead and I consume raw milk and eat eggs and grow some berries and veggies. Thanks Dr. Berg for the video.

  15. My uncle was a milk farmer and I would drink raw milk. It tasted so different. The milk was thicker and tasted like grass. My cousins that lived on that farm have the strongest bones. My cousin had a tractor passed over her and survived with any broken bones.
