  1. Glad I don’t take any of these. Although I think that there’s some basis for taking AKG. The calcium version tends to be very expensive though. There’s an arginine version that’s way cheaper. The differences between the two? I’d like to know more about that actually.

  2. A 2024 updated Siim Land supplement tier list is in order I think. This time including other supplements like alpha lipoic acid, whey protein (concentrate vs isolate), pycnogenol, Ecklonia cava, pomegranate extract, apple peels, HMO’s, nopales (opuntia ficus indica), fucoidan, etc…

  3. I had to back off of boron because it made me itchy. I still take calcium fructoborate though and lower doses of boron.

  4. What are your thoughts on biofilms disruptors? A lot of issues arise from those biofilms and is not being talked about enough.

  5. Did you see the latest research on NMN ? I’m still skeptical about it as it sounds good but isn’t tested that much on humans yet so that’s a big step forward. The study is named
“Effects of Nicotinamide Mononucleotide Supplementation on Muscle and Liver Functions Among the Middle-Aged and Elderly: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials”

  6. @SiimLand Thank you for yet another helpful video. Curious to learn your view of Nuchido’s Time+ supplmenet

  7. Reading your book before bedtime now! About Spermidine, did an attempt of getting over 12 mg with my diet, found it kind of hard and around x10 as expensive as getting 16mg of DoNotAge’s Spermidine as supplement. So I’ll keep using it for another year… For now.

  8. This is my take on these supplements, hopefully it helps someone. Urolithin A: Take pomegranate fibre if you want Urolithin-A – it is cheaper, I have done a microbiome test and I have the bacteria required for it being created as a post-biotic. Resveratrol: I avoid resveratrol. Spermidine: Take wheat germ or just eat wholegrain wheat as sourdough or pasta – it is cheaper and probably better metabolised than the supplements. Mutlivitamins: Just stick with methylated B vitamins which are more easily metabolised, try to take them every second day to give a washout period, avoid chelating them with tea or coffee. cAKG: Just take AAKG, it is relatively cheap and is still AKG, calcium supplements are overrated IMO anyway.

    • calcium version of AKG is known to have slower absorption which allows good healthy blood levels. Quicker ones produce unhealhy or just useless spikes.
The same with many other nutrients- often you don’t want it to be quick-release (not natural either – as in nature you’d get phytonutrients slowly freed up from plant matrix and carry them for bacterial conversion into the colon etc. – for many phytos we’d totally missed out on the conversion department if making it quick-absorption – curcumin is a nice example – you’d want bacteria to convert it, at least partly, before you absorb it).

    • Blue cheese or Aged Cheddar are excellent sources of Spermidine, it’s denser/heavier and it’s about as high values as wheatgerm. The Omega 6 ratio of Wheatgerm is a little concerning. Now what’s the best cheap source of Trigonellline?

    • @@jonathanberry1111 Mushrooms are the best source probably.
Especially for those that live near forests, at the moment I could gather pounds of chanterelles – these are quite rich in spermidine, one of the richest sources.

    • @@jonathanberry1111 For trigonelline, probably some clover seeds are at quite a cheap price per concentration.
Some have experimented with it, NAD+ didn’t change too much but I guess it is of help.
Probably adding many sources always more useful as variety of fibers adds to the variety of gut bacteria and therefore adds to overall health and immunity.

  9. This is actually a very interesting video. Would be good to make a series of all the overhyped supplements

  10. I believe the spermidine study by Senekowitsch et al. has been misinterpreted. It concludes that spermidine intake is presystemically converted into spermine, which then circulates. The study did show increased spermine levels from spermidine supplementation. Mammalian cells generate spermidine from spermine, so the beneficial effect could be due to the circulating spermine itself and/or an increase in the availability of spermidine precursors.

  11. one multi vitamin gave me a toxic level of selenium. it had like 200mcg of selenium in a pill and i took one daily. over years i had a toxic amount of selenium build up. the effects were pure hell

  12. Cleaning out your mitocondria with urolithin A on a molecular level in 28days is defenitly worth it, the heat map show a clear benefit over just traning. avrage mitocondrial turnover is about 100days. Getting rid of junk is defently worth it once a year.
