  1. Do you recommend for the elderly who also don’t do any resistance training to take creatine or is creatine only best taken by those who are doing resistance training?

  2. Have you looked into research of single amino acid supplementation? They use the same pathways and will cause deficiency in other aminos. They also work synergistically. Those rats weren’t fed stand alone glycine, it was part of their diet

  3. The main reason for aspirin prescription is its mild blood thinning effect which have benefited heart patients. However it is just better to take quercetin at the right dosage as it is a blood thinner as well and also works to attenuate cd38 and anti inflammatory as well as anti histamine. But pharma wants to sell their stuff.

  4. What is always left out of these discussions are the synergistic effects of multi-supplement formulations. My good friend and now Prof. Emeritus, C.D. Rollo of McMaster University, Hamilton, Ont., performed over a decade of aging experiments on mice and rats starting in the early 2000s in which a supplement stack of some 40 or so nutrients – many of them just simple vitamins, B complex, garlic, etc. along with NAC, alpha lipoic acid, acetyl L carnitine – not only extended maximal lifespan by 10%, but even more significantly, *completely abolished* cognitive decline in these animals. This notion of multi-stack supplementation follows the original protocols of Denham Harman, the godfather of the ‘free radical theory of aging’ who also emphasized the synergistic and interdependent nature of supplementation. Focusing on single supplements is, essentially, largely missing the boat here.

    • I agree that multiple supplements may result in a synergistic effect, but they can also conflict each other. It’s very challenging to get studies on multiple supplements. Perhaps AI could help?

    • Yes, you are right. Multiple important supplements (you have a good list in your comment!) are best to take, in addition to exercise, proper sleep and a healthy lifestyle.

      Although your point is well taken, I doubt anyone following Siim’s channel or other health related channel will ONLY take glycine and no other supplements.

  5. Funny that almost none of those are commonly reported or readily available except for aspirin which has been perhaps unfairly maligned in recent years.

  6. Why are Astaxanthin and meclizine not mentioned? They are tested in the ITP program and extended lifespan in male mice (2019).

  7. You are not concerned about the possibility of glycine to accelerate the development of prostate cancer ?

  8. It seems like a lot of those are based around reducing glucose absorption. Maybe a bit of a leap in logic, but surely a low carbohydrate diet would achieve the same thing?
