Today, we’re going to talk about the benefits of clove for health. Cloves have potent antibacterial, antifungal, anti-candida, and antiviral properties with virtually no side effects!
Cloves can help numb tooth pain and eliminate microbes. They have been patented for use in mouthwash, toothpaste, and gingivitis treatment. Cloves can also increase bile flow and digestive enzymes.
A study published in the World Journal of Dentistry found that clove oil worked faster, lasted longer, and was more effective for toothaches than benzocaine. Another study compared eugenol to hydrocortisone and found the effectiveness was equal to or greater in reducing skin swelling and redness.
You can use cloves to make a salve or a liquid to drink before bed. It can be used for tooth pain, biofilms, muscle pain, joint pain, and more! Clove oil can be mixed with olive or coconut oil and massaged directly into the joints.
You can also use clove oil to make a lip balm as a natural remedy for the herpes simplex virus. It can even be used as a mosquito repellent.
Drinking clove water before bed can help you relax, detoxify the liver, and improve digestion. It can also be used for respiratory problems like bronchitis, mucus in the lungs, colds, coughs, and asthma.
Clove water helps support cognitive function, a healthy heart, and healthy immune function. It’s a natural sedative, so it can be used as a sleep aid without the side effects of sleep medication.
To make clove water, boil 4 to 5 cloves in one cup of water, lower the heat, and allow it to simmer for five minutes. Cover the water while it’s simmering to prevent the vapors from escaping. Allow the clove water to cool for one hour and consume it 30 minutes before bed.

I’ve been eating cloves for over a year now (actually I blend them into my morning health tonic) and I found it made my digestive tract work even better and it helped with my athlete’s foot so well I no longer needed OTC medications
Hydrogen peroxide kills foot fungi(use while showering) alongside keeping area clean and new shoes and socks.

How do you use it on ur hair? 😊
Interesting for the hair- do you use this as a rinse?
I use it in my hair as well!! I just made a clove rinse and a clove oil for my hair just this week. I also make my own mouthwash that has cloves in it. Cloves are so powerful.
@@Chrissy4281Did it tint your hair darker? I’ve read some people experience that. Thank you.
I pour boiling water over clove buds and cinnamon granules for a mouth wash. I don’t like mint in dental products 😅@Chrissy4281
I use this in my fall/autumn tea blend. I have chamomile, clove, star anise, cardamom and a cinnamon stick. I didn’t know all of these benefits but the tea is delicious. 😊
Thats basically Chai Tea
I use all of those herbs and spices (except chamomile) in my elderberry syrup I make.
Cant wait to try this combination.
Sounds delicious!!!
Sounds delicious. Thank you.
As a fellow health YouTuber, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your insights on the benefits of drinking clove water at night! It’s fascinating to learn about the historical significance of cloves and their medicinal properties.
In addition to the benefits you mentioned, I’d like to highlight that cloves are also rich in antioxidants, which can help combat oxidative stress in the body. This is particularly important for overall health and longevity. Moreover, the eugenol in cloves not only aids in oral health but also has anti-inflammatory properties that can support heart health by improving circulation and reducing blood pressure.
For those looking to incorporate clove water into their routine, I recommend steeping a few whole cloves in hot water for about 10-15 minutes to extract the beneficial compounds effectively. This can be a soothing bedtime ritual that promotes relaxation and better sleep.
Thanks for sharing such valuable information, Dr. Berg! Your channel continues to be a fantastic resource for those of us interested in natural health solutions. Keep up the great work!
Can this clove be use in regular teatime adding a tea bag to the oil and brew it we make Chai tea with this clove oil..
Can clove water be used if you have no gallbladder?
It also supports your gut bacteria…
Ooh, steeping them would be easier for me than boiling up a pan of water, so I’ll try this method instead. Thank you!
@@NansGlobalKitchen Hello! Yes, you can use it that way and in your case as well, the only people who should avoid it are people with bleeding disorders.
Disclaimer: not medical advice. You know the drill. 🙂
Cloves work on a toothache
Clove is antiparisitic so it will help your gut immensely
Which may greatly help with tumors, which many have a parasitic symbiosis.
Dr. Hulda Clarke published a lot of research years ago, using clove and black walnut tinctures for the removal of internal “parasites”, microscopic to quite large. Chinese medicine teaches a connection between lungs and bowels.
We live in an ocean of bacteria, yeasts, virus, and other kinds of microorganism “parasites”. Many of them live peacefully with us, like our digestive organisms. Many cause diseases, which can be treated by killing them with the herbs and cures mentioned.
Good to know!

I absolutely love cloves. They’re so underrated but do so much.
I use clove oil to clean black mold. I mix vinegar, peppermint oil, borax, and a few drops of dish soap. Mix a little water. Get a scrub brush or cloth to clean, and the mold is gone!
Thanks. Will give it a try.
Where’s the clove in that mixture?
What are the ratios?
Have you tried just bleach. Just spray it on and watch the mold disappear
Can you make a large batch to use all week?
I put whole cloves on my window sills and I have not had any spiders or any other bugs this year!
My mother would put them in the corners of the kitchen countertops every summer to keep ants away
I’ll try it🕊️🙏🏻The Lord bless you
Oh wow I’m going to try this!
Amazing, i have to try that next summer!
Thanks for this comment. I’m going to try this. The mini spiders and ants in my house are driving me crazy this summer.
I put about 30 to 40 cloves in 1 litre of water. Let it go brown then use as a totally organic mouth wash. Ive been using it for years and have excellent oral health.
Love this idea!!
Do you keep it in the refrigerator once it’s made
@@heidihemingway9735 I use a old plastic bottle with a tight top and keep it in bathroom by the sink. It doesnt go bad.

Here in Ireland people like to drink a hot whiskey with lemon & cloves if they hav any type of cold or flu. It would be one part whiskey of your choice, 2 to 3 parts boiling hot water and a slice or 2 of lemon along with 5 to 6 cloves.
