    • But why is it prescribed? Is there another reason?
Edit: I am thinking, now that I did just a bit of research, that the magnesium oxide may have been prescribed because it causes diarrhea and they want you cleaned out before a colonoscopy.
Maybe Dr Berg is saying it’s still ok to take it in those settings but not in general?

  1. I agree with you on the best Magnesium to take but it is very hard to avoid Mag Oxide if you want or need to take a Multi-Vitamin tablet.

    • @@anon9362 I don’t agree with him on the side effects as I have been taking it for about 30 years in my multivitamin. I think the side effects have been grossly exaggerated. He never said what else was added to that orange drink!

    • @@leialee6820Dr. Berg talked about the colon cleanser that you have to drink before your colonoscopy.. It wasn’t abouts multivitamin. It’s because of the laxative effect in higher dose than in your multivitamin drink.

    • @@Nyla_ Correction – My multivitamin tablet.
He is still exaggerating it because this is not the only type of Magnesium that can have this effect, there are 2 others as well which are common as take. I have heard him speak on this particular one before & his main reason for not taking it was that you only benefit from absorbing 4% of the Magnesium.

    • @@leialee6820 he’s not wrong. Magnesium oxide is difficult to dissolved in water and that’s why it’s difficult to absorb it in body tissue.
There are a few magnesium variations that absorb much better than mg oxide. Mg Glycinate is one of them.
Well everyone is free to choose for himself.

  2. I’m 25 and Been taking Glycinate for 4 months now… absolute game changer

Edit: I’m trying to respond to you guys but YouTube keeps deleting my responses

      1. My monthly cramps with a pain scale of 10/10 came down to 2/10

      2. After an intense workout I deal with muscle ache and pains for 3-5 days, now it’s 2 day recovery max

      3. Taking before bed, I have a deeper sleep and less anxiety that keeps me awake

      4. It’s know to burn some calories too from what my hospital colleagues tell me which is a bonus for my weightloss journey

My naturopath I saw back in June told me about it and sold it to me for £30.

I speak more on it on my platform if you’re interested, recently uploaded

    • That’s it I’m switching. 😄 I’ve been taking magnesium oxide because I didn’t know the difference when I bought it. I noticed a real difference. Now I have to see what magnesium glycinate does.

  3. Thank you, for your daily videos. After work,I have something important to listen to and a gift from you for my healthy future.God bless you.

    • Hello. Sorry, we do not have information/ video about this. We will add this to our video suggestion list for now. Thanks.

  4. I got myself magnesium Gylcinat 100 mg for Asthma but found out that this small amount already forces me to sleep. First time I was scared because I had a sedating feeling. Now I devide the amount through the day and it helps me. So try a small amount first.

    • @lindadoran6062  Yes, it does help me to breathe easier at night. I had only 50% my lungs working and on Cortison medication. I take daily Omaga 3, Sodium Selenite, Vitamin D ( 60 in blood whole year), and Magnesium. I have eaten less sugar and other highly processed carbs for one year now. I am off all medications ( but take supplements with no side effects)and feeling very good.

    • Thats so interesting. I already ordered it and didn’t know about asthma which could help me a lot.
Thank you so much for the info 👍🏼

  5. Ive started taking Dr Burg’s Magnesium Glycinate. Ive noticed a difference in just a few days. I will be continuing to use this

  6. Here I thought oxide was good for headaches, citrate was to help you with bowel movements, and glycinate for muscle spasms – stress reduction- and better sleep.

  7. Any studies that actually compare magnesium glycinate and citrate? Most i can find are health website and individuals with no sources.

  8. Not really, magnesium oxide helps with headaches! Every magnesium form has some laxative effect for me. Everyone’s reaction to these supplements is different. Try and find out what works for you!

  9. Thanks a lot Doc I was taking Magnesium oxide from past one week. The store guy said he don’t have magnesium glycinate I need to order online
