DATA:
Today I want to share some lesser-known heart health tips and how magnesium may help lower heart attack risk.
Common heart problems such as plaquing, blood clots, atrial fibrillation, and hypertension are all related to magnesium deficiency.
Testing for magnesium deficiency is almost impossible because only 1% is in the blood. The majority of magnesium is inside the cells.
Heart medications such as calcium channel blockers, beta-blockers, Warfarin, and medications used to treat high blood pressure work using mechanisms similar to magnesium. Magnesium acts as a natural calcium channel blocker and helps regulate calcium, lower blood pressure, lower adrenaline, and relax the muscles.
People deficient in magnesium often feel tired, especially after exercise. They may also experience migraine headaches. Without enough magnesium, vitamin D cannot work.
Alcohol, refined sugar, starches, genetics, stress, low stomach acid, drugs, and antibiotics can interfere with the absorption of magnesium. Consuming ultra-processed foods increases your demand for magnesium and could cause you to become deficient.
Many sources of magnesium, like spinach, almonds, and chocolate, are high in oxalates. Magnesium glycinate is a great choice for people looking to get more magnesium.

I have spent 30 years consuming “health foods and supplements” and everyone around me would describe me as the “healthiest person they know.” But I was rotting inside and the list of ailments I suffered would take an hour to put here. Dr Berg saved my life and I am not using hyperbole. I am 45 and feel as good as I did in my 20s. Thanks Doc for the research and real supplements that are top notch!
Great. Also some of his videos on what to watch out for in supplements may be of interest.

So first aid is magnesium plus an aspirin… Yes.
When I developed heart disease while pregnant my brilliant Australian cardiologist saved me and my baby with 8 capsules of magnesium a day.
@veerlevantricht9614 how much is that in Mg ???
Do you remember how many mg s or dosage it was that you were taking ?
But you should have had more magnesium before you were pregnant. Use the internet to learn how to feed yourself – for your family’s sake if not for your own.
@@alejandramguerrero5885 I think 80mg a day. Also good for pre eclampsia
@@alejandramguerrero5885 sorry 800mg a day
I always take magnesium glycinate combined with vit D3 & K2..
thank you Dr Berg..
Same
Also with soke kind of oil (like mct oil). Dr Berg explained in a different video why the 3 taken together is best but in short the oil helps the vD3 absorb better.

My husband had a heart attack last November. He went in 3 times with chest pain and they kept turning him away. It wasn’t until I came home and he has having an active heart attack and took him in that they kept him. Doctors told him that he did not have any heart damage but did have to have 2 stints. Thanks for covering his topic.
🎯yup.. that’s how they are
I also had to have angioplasty with 2 stents. Yet, 13 years later I’m fine ! 💟🤠
Some of his videos on heart attacks recovery and on what causes magnesium deficiency may help too.
My husband had this too but ended up A few yesrs later having a quadruple bypass op….all ok now. @SweetChicagoGator
How long was a heart attack period for your husband that you came right when he was having an episode and manage to take him to hospital .
I have been listening to your videos for a few years now. They all are good. But this one hit on a point that appies to me lately.
My family history is similar to yours Dr. Berg. My grandfather on my father’s side had seven strokes, and my father had several also. My mother also had a heart condition. This is the main reason I am vigilant in trying to stay as healthy as possible. At 65 years of age, so far no major issues.
I like taking my Magnesium glycinate every day as helps me relax and sleep better
Same
What time of day do you like to take it and how much?
I never realized how keyed-up I was trying to go to sleep until I started taking magnesium glycinate and that feeling disappeared and I was relaxed. Bonus that I’m not constipated anymore!
@dswingle8695 i take it about a hour before I go to bed
@@barbiroth5860 it’s good stuff

Thanks Doc. I think we deserve to know more than we are just told by the media. Sometimes I find my self in rabbit holes of lies by the Industry and I realized that when I finished reading “The 23 Former Doctor Truths”. Thank you for everything.
yea that is so true, media loves to missinform.
I didn’t realize how important magnesium was until I started using it regularly. It’s been a game changer for managing stress, improving sleep, and keeping my energy levels steady. I came across it in Secret Supplements that turn you into a Superhuman, and adding it to my routine along with a simple diet of steak and eggs has really made a difference in how I feel every day

The same happened for my grandfather, unfortunately. Thank you for your help. Wish the best for you and your loved ones.
Doctor i swear, I started taking your magnesium supplements 7 days ago. I’m 68 and would feel minor discomfort and increased bpm upon walking up a large flight of stairs to my bedroom, would have to sit down tired. I’ve had all tests and on Statens and Lesinipril. All gone now for last few days.Had heart checkup by cardiologist and found nothing wrong. I’m also in great shape 5’8″ 148 pounds great diet. No shortness of breath either.
Thanks Doc
