  3. I am glad you mentioned how tall you are and you’re body type (bone structure). When you said you were close to 180, my first thought was that she looks like she weighs a lot less than this. Thank you for offering some healthy meal ideas. I have been working on eating more organic food items, and thoroughly washing my Fruits & veggies, and trying to up my protein intake.

  5. I am glad that you mentioned diabetic. My glucose number has been in the 300’s for a very long time. I am changing a lot of things starting today. I need to get healthy and stop playing around. I have to accept that there are foods that I can no longer eat. Maybe for now, we shall see. I have got to get that number down before my next doctor’s appointment on December 16th.   6. So I was going to order that scale. It was going to give me the discount like you said. I put in Low carb love discount all excited to see how much it would come out to and it only applied that discount. It took off other discount. Bummer. I’ll wait till there’s a sale lol love you Mayra. I’ve been following you for a year now. I’ve lost 100 pounds too! It took me about 3 years. Lost it slowly. But now I’m upping my fitness to a whole new level. My life is so different today! I love it! 😄

  7. Yes! Diet is the most important! I’ve been low carb, no sugar (or minimal sugar), strikingly 3 meals a day with one healthy snack and I am down 8 lbs! No amount of exercise has ever given me such quick results! I can feel my body is changing, my stomach is flatter, my thighs are getting smaller. I didn’t know for the longest time that eating/snacking releases insulin to ANY food sweet or not and it stops the fat burning process! That’s why we need to have at least 2-3 hours between meals! Once I realized that and actually started eating more mindfully it all started making sense and the scale finally started moving in the right direction! It hasn’t moved down in about two years until now! Thanks for motivating me to eat less carby! 💗🤪

    • It’s actually recommended to have 5 hours between meals, or doing IF (which is even better). Snacking in between meals is not ideal for weight loss as it’s keeping insuin and blood glucose levels high which hinder fat loss.

    • @@leni0210 I have learned with my body that it needs a minimum of 3 hours between meals, sometimes it’s closer to 4 hours. I am also doing 16:8 IF as well. So far this regimen has been working really well for me.

    • @@K1111A nope, not at all. Just eat 3 meals per day with maybe one snack. But I have increased my protein and non-starchy veggie intake. I also have cut down on the amount of fruit I eat, it’s usually less than 400gm/day. I eat more berries. And of course drink water throughout the day at least 64 oz. 😊

  9. My brother and I ran into Mayra at the Lucille’s in Long Beach, CA a couple months ago. I think her little nephew had run off and they were looking for him but they found him. I’m 6’4 and she is TALL. Not fat at all. I would say built like a volleyball player. Very nice person by the way.

  10. The other other bottom line for weight loss is keeping insulin low. People think it’s calorie deficit.. and it is but if you are eating crap in your calorie deficit, you’re still spiking insulin and it’s all about the hormone to lose weight.

    • I had gained a fee pounds back and knew it had to do with insulin. I started testing my blood glucose after eating and was shocked that things I never would have guessed, spiked my sugar soo high! So now I’ve been able to tailor my eating and have started losing again. My body does not want carbs!,

  11. I’ve lost 50lbs recently and switched to a maintenance phase for 2 months, where I’ve only lost 1.5kgs. That’s fine because the intention has been to maintain, but I’m ready to dive back into another 6 week fat loss regime before my Christmas vacation. I’m 158lbs, hoping to get to 150lbs. Low carb always works and I’ve been anything but low carb recently! Let’s gooo

I am on keto after having two babies and something I’ve found is that I barely have period cramps anymore, I used to have to take Advil for the first two days and before it started, and now my period surprises me and I don’t have to take medicine. It’s amazing!! I’ve been on keto for almost 3 months . Ur awesome and inspiring!!

  16. My PCP gave me the same advice about your body already has in mind it’s ‘happy weight’ and breaking through it would be difficult. I was never able to reach my ‘ideal weight’ despite being ketovore and working out. It always stopped within that ‘happy range’. When you’re older, your focus will change to just wanting to make better choices and be healthier as you stated. I have learned accepting this to include our varying body compositions just brings more peace, understanding, and healing through this journey.
