I have tried to introduce my family to a healthy diet. Alas it is like herding cats
Be the example.
I do not have diabetes thanks too this channel which I discovered about 4 years just by accident. My Dr. told me i needed statins and i went too the internet to research.
Your YT channel popped up, and the vid was about the big deception of statins.
Down tje rabbit hole i went.
I am now healthier than I’ve ever been since my 30’s, lost all my pre-diabetic symptoms and have tons of energy following dropping sugars, seed oils and processed foods from my diet.
Keep up the good work.
I forgot to mention low low low carb.
My diabetes nurse is now shocked because my type 2 diabetes of 20 years and 200 units of insulin/day is gone. i am11 weeks into carnevore and was able to stop insulin after only 2 weeks..spread the word to anyone with type 2 diabetes. My HbA1c is now 42 mmol/mol and thats under the limit for diabetes is 48 mmol/mol.
No need for a large scale review, as plain old logic tells one that someone using a smart phone for diabetes control, is of course going to get better results as they are more involved, more aware, and implementing health changes than someone who doesn’t use an electronic device. Being a cynic, I believe the probability is high that the review is done to keep people relevant and create a workload, as well as some financial grifting.
Robert should cease the Atorvastatin (Lipitor) . It increases the risk of T2DM by about 35%, which is the main reason he has been struggling. Even industry studies show that you only live 4 days longer (primary prevention) even if you take a statin for years. Meantime, the risks of diabetes, dementia, brain fog, muscle pain etc increase dramatically. Just today a study came out linking statins to a 17 fold increased risk of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). People, do your research on statins before taking them. They are neither safe nor effective. (Retired RN)
I just cannot understand why low-carb does not become mainstream.
One’s example is merely an anecdote but I will give it anyways.
*Me in 2010* on SAD: BMI over 32, taking 6 medications, having none of the 5 factors of metabolic health (blood glucose, triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, blood pressure and waist circumference, without the need for medications.)
I adopted keto in 2010. Was able to discontinue all 6 medications in just 10 months.
14 years later, still doing low-carb, still taking no meds, BMI 20.5, easily meeting all 5 factors of metabolic health (which only 12% of the adult population do in the US).
Yay Lincoln for the win!
Check out the new American Diabetes Society.
Low carb 100% thanks ..us no hopeless drunks who believe it or not believe in a super lower carb diet but drink in excellence in my case think fine for me.
This is so good to hear. I remitted my diabetes simply by going low carb. I didn’t know if it would work but decided to try it after reading a large number of comments below low carb videos of people saying that it had worked for them.
Hard to believe there are any doctors alive today that don’t about reducing carbs for diabetes patients.
Guys, PLEASE do something about the mic’ing of these videos. The constant salivary clicks and pops are extremely annoying and make these videos very difficult to listen to.
Very interesting. Thanks!
