An autoimmune disease is a condition in which the immune system attacks its own tissues. It is typically characterized by low regulatory T-cells and high Th17 and Th2 cells. T-reg cells prevent autoimmune diseases by supporting an appropriate immune response.
There are natural ways to support your immune system so that it operates at an optimal level. Poor gut health and gut inflammation can block the function of vitamin D3. Without enough vitamin D, T-reg cells do not work properly.
The majority of the population is vitamin D-resistant. To support the immune system, you need 8,000 to 10,000 IU of vitamin D daily, but even more to overcome resistance.
Poor gut health, inflammation, and low vitamin D are a perfect storm for developing an autoimmune condition.
B. infantis and L. reuteri are vital for your immune system, but many people don’t have them because these probiotics are very sensitive to antibiotics. These two important microbes help prevent autoimmune diseases, greatly affect T-reg cells, and suppress inflammatory immune cells.
L. reuteri helps increase oxytocin, one of the most potent anti-stress hormones. High cortisol levels mean high stress, which suppresses the immune system. The best way to consume l. reuteri is to cultivate it in a dairy product.
If you’re low in selenium, you will have higher amounts of inflammatory immune cells. Selenium helps lower Th17, Th2 cells, and auto-antibodies involved in autoimmune disorders.
Prolonged fasting can improve your immune system by increasing T-reg cells and creating new stem cells.

best Professor ever. best Doctor.
there is no better Professor. there is no better Doctor.
I love Dr. Berg. But please keep in mind that he’s a DC, not an MD or DO.
I think he still gives great info, but it’s important to know where he’s coming from.
I like Dr. Berg but he puts magnesium Stearate in his supplements. That’s toxic

I agree. I never met a doctor that had any knowledge about nutrition. Never. That is why I come here. To learn.👍
There is no better professor and there is no better doctor than Eric berg, right?
He explains things so well in easy to understand terms
even my cat can comprehend his lectures!

Now I know why I started having Alopecia Barbae back in the days when I avoided the sun and used a lot of sunscreen.
I make my own yogurt and add L-Reuteri Probiotic. It’s been wonderful
What kind of milk do you use? I am not able to get a farm milk, I live in a big city. Is there any good milk in the store? I tried the best – my opinion milk from Whole Foods, but it is still not the same as it should be. It doesn’t get sour as it should be, it gets bitter when I put it on the counter. Thanks!
@@betty3066 I’ve been using Organic Half and Half
@@betty3066 You’re supposed to use half and half-ultra pasteurized.
@ thank you! Do you use any probiotic starters?
@@i8dpieHi, I’m not American and don’t know what half and half milk is. Is it half milk half cream or half milk half water? What is it please? I want to make this yogurt
This channel has helped me so much get back on track. Thank you 🌻
Same. 🎉
Same here. I have learnt so much from Dr Berg.👍 He’s awesome.❤

You are speaking right to me. I have chronically low vitamin D. Just got tested ++ for nickel sulfate allergy 2 days ago. I also have gluten and dairy allergen sensitivity. I definitely need to decrease my inflammation and change my diet.
How much cost for the test? Can you tell me what kind of test you did?
Kalona SuperNatural Organic Whole Milk Plain Kefir has B. Infantis, and Lifeway grassfed organic kefir has L. Reuteri just fyi.😊
Awesome, will look out for it. I dont want to make my own 😅 thanks
I get Raw Farms Kefir, and their raw whole milk. Do you think it would be in this too? I was in Sprouts yesterday. They carry many different brands, I saw the Lifeway, but I wasn’t looking at other brands so not sure if they have Malona, I just grab my Raw Farm Whole Milk Kefir. I will have to read the side of the container and see if it says. Thanks for the heads up. 😉
lifeway i wouldnt recommend because it can cause gut problems from being pasteurized. It also has a very small amount of l ruiteri. Not enough to build it up. You need to make dr davis’ yogurt.
This channel really helped me. I was really active and one day I woke up and had debilitating chronic fatigue. Went to 4 ER’s and 2 doc’s and no one could figure out what was wrong with me. I honestly thought I was dying. My kids and I started researching online and came across this channel, thank God. It wasn’t an instant fix but overtime since increasing my vitamin d3 along with other supplements, I’ve been on the road to recovery. Thank you Dr. Berg from the bottom of my heart. You have no idea of all the lives you’ve saved with this informative channel.
Same happened to me a couple years ago
How much of vitamin d3 and it’s co factors do you take daily?
Taking 1/2tsp of fennel seeds and 1/2tsp of cumin seeds 15 minutes before breakfast and dinner helped to reduce pain almost to 0 pain within 10 days. And also it improved mobility functions a lot with no stiff joints. ❤
Thank you. How do you take it? Can you make a tea and drink it?
Do you grind them?
The fact that we get free medical videos on YouTube by Doctor Berg is truly a gift. 👍👍👍
YES!!! thankful
You can bank on his advice.
He’s also on rumble
@@SharkFishSFThank you
He is one of the best. I have learned a lot from him.
I really like how the video breaks down a complicated topic like autoimmune diseases into something anyone can follow.
Constantly better advice than I’d ever get from my GP
Thank you Dr. Berg. I have Lupus and as I age, I’m getting worse. I’m so thankful that I found your channel. I’ve been watching you for 6 months now and I use many of your supplements, including vitamin D. I feel much better and started my daughter on your Vitamin D. She too feels better even though she hasn’t been diagnosed. When I told my primary doctor that I started taking sauerkraut, he shook his head and told me not to believe in this stuff and that I have too much anxiety. I look forward to your videos.
Another dismissive dr. telling you how you should feel.
Some of these doctors are consciously evil and want you ill so they can build their lavish lifestyles off of you. Others of them are just incompetent and believing everything big pharma tells them. There’s no substitute for seeking your own understanding, so you can have the confidence to make decisions about your health. ❤️
I had not heard of vitamin D resistance before! Knowing this will be a game changer for me I think. I have low IgG and that results in many infections and high inflammation. I am getting IgG replacement therapy but the recovery is really slow going. I’ve been on countless antibiotics and antiviral medication for years and all this has taken a toll on my energy and overall vitality. I’m 55 and feel the pressure of time as I hope to be strong for the rest of my life. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR VIDEOS!!! They are pragmatic help for us, especially in the US where the food and drug industries are so harmful.
Resistance can be caused by lack of magnesium too ! Magnesium activates vitamin D. Co factors like magnesium in the body are important. Vitamin K2 helps deliver it to the bones rather than soft tissue. Most people are low in magnesium more than even vitamin D
Can’t scroll past this video without thanking you dear doctor .Please do a video on Immunoglobulin E ,a detailed one please pls …❤
There are many great Doctors on YouTube but I must say that Dr. Berg is my go to for every single thing! Thank you Dr. Berg
Thanks for your free information and you keep it short. You’re fantastic!!!!! I watch all your videos
Dr. Berg, I’ve been through a lot of stress the last four years and I have autoimmune. I developed scalp psoriasis and please, I beg you, what can I do naturally to get rid of it. We can’t depend on our Drs anymore. We depend and trust Drs like you who do things naturally. Please help me
