Did you know you could have normal blood vitamin D levels but still have a vitamin D deficiency?
Vitamin D resistance interferes with vitamin D levels and vitamin D absorption. Genetic problems, Lyme disease, and certain infections downgrade the vitamin D receptor. A deficiency in zinc, magnesium, or vitamin K2 will inhibit vitamin D function in the body. High cortisol, darker skin, diabetes, obesity, and other health conditions will also affect vitamin D absorption.
The RDA for vitamin D is only 600 IU when you actually need 8,895 IU every day! Research has shown that low vitamin D levels increase your risk for viral infections. People with tumors and cancer have been found to have low vitamin D.
New research has shown the benefits of vitamin D for autoimmune conditions. Dr. Coimbra from Brazil has used high vitamin D levels to treat patients with autoimmune conditions, and the results have been amazing. Another doctor using high doses of vitamin D3 has over 900 video testimonials of improvement in people with autoimmune diseases.
One eye doctor in Germany wrote a book about using high doses of vitamin D3 for glaucoma and other eye-related problems. “The Pharmacological Basis of Therapeutics 4th Edition” addressed vitamin D resistance and vitamin D dosage of 50,000 IU to up to 500,000 IU!
Vitamin D allows you to absorb more calcium, so when you take high doses of vitamin D, make sure you’re not consuming calcium supplements. Take vitamin D with magnesium because it helps regulate calcium.

I’m also suffering from eczema & low on vitamin d.
Did your eczema went away after taking vitamin d3+k2 supplement?
@nafisatasnim7057 yes initially i had all sorts of remedies but none of them worked but upon using d3+k2 my skin is renewing itself

Is Piping Rock a good brand??
@annaschannel7594 am using nutricost brand but i would recommend dr bergs brand since it has magnesium , zinc & k2 combined
I am so blessed to have found out about Dr.berg. since the 80s I’ve been going to physical therapy, 8 different Doctors but now I am down to 1 doctor mostly for check up and blood results love hearing my doctor asking me What are you doing for weight loss and BEST lab 🔬 results…..I told him I got a Doctor office in my house and even on the road driving…..Blessed
you may enjoy Dr. ken Berry also
I’m sure he loved that. 😂 Good job doing your own research. Doctors prescribed what B. Pharma told them to prescribe. Drug interaction questions, we were better off asking a pharmacist.

I had no idea how crucial vitamin D is for fighting inflammation and autoimmune diseases! The link between vitamin D resistance, magnesium, and our immune system is mind-blowing. It’s crazy that so many people might be deficient without knowing it. Time to rethink those RDAs. Thanks for sharing!
Yah right?! This really connected a lot of dots. My family is very low cancer but high incidence of Alzheimer’s and I believe, if I’m not mistaken, that that is partially an inflammation issue
This video is fire. So much unbiased information and straight talk. Dr Berg treats us like intelligent individuals who have the capacity to be advocates for our own health. I like that he tells what to look out for and how to reduce those risks.
Dr. Eric Berg thank you, God Bless you .
Hashimoto, endometriose, liver cirrhosis level 1, overweight, lots of infections, Vit. D level for years below 30 and the doctors gave me 600 I.U. Well, little did I know.
Now on keto and 50.000 I.U. vit. D, with K2, Magnesium, zinc. Feeling much better.
Which brands do you use?
Wow, keep standing strong 💪
What is your Vitamin D level now?
Are you taking 50,000 a day
@@ketokarbs3671 5000 currently
I will summarize the doctor’s video:
1. **Vitamin D deficiency** causes inflammation, autoimmune risks, and other health issues.
2. **Vitamin D resistance** can result from genetics, nutrient deficiencies, stress, or infections.
3. Current RDA (600 IU/day) is too low; **8,000–10,000 IU/day** is recommended.
4. Vitamin D supports **immune function** and reduces risks of infections, autoimmune diseases, and cancer.
5. High doses of vitamin D were historically effective but underutilized now.
6. Manage risks of toxicity by supplementing magnesium, staying hydrated, and monitoring calcium levels.
7. Children and breastfeeding mothers need higher vitamin D doses for proper health.
8. Vitamin D’s benefits are often overlooked due to pharmaceutical competition.
Seriously…Thank you for the highlights
Thank you!
I’m surprised Dr Berg didn’t mention K2 along with the Magnesium, but he does cover a number of “extra” supplements in other videos (Zinc, Mg, K2, etc) that helps round out Vit D3 in the body.

100% your videos have changed the way I approach health and wellness. THANK YOU for providing all this important info for free!
I wish I’d found the Dr sooner!! I am so thankful to have finally found him. I just found out I have AIHA on top of many autoimmune disorders.
When I finally had mine checked, it was below 7. The Doc said I was close to dying, and all I went in for was chronic migraines and severe depression & anxiety. I take 50k IUs of D3 with K2 now, and gobs of magnesium glycinate.
I live in Iran, my vitamin D level was 20. After eating one 50000 per week , it went up to between 60 70 after nearly a year. My body really changed. Better mood, less stress, less depression, more energy. I am really happy and so lucky to find out about vitamin D in mid 30s.
MashAllah!
They let you have access to the Internet in Iran.?

I have been learning from Dr. Berg for exactly five years today. Have not been sick one day.
For first time in long time I beat an oncoming cold in my system. I started taking 10000iu daily of D3 in late August. And a persistent periodic cough has gone away too. Leftover severe bronchitis from Christmas 2023.
I don’t know how you survived all of this …Thank you for all of the information you share.
I (20yo) got my blood work checked and my Vitamin D level was 13.4ng/mL, 2 days after my results i got covid which probably delpleted my vitamin D even lower. The last 2 weeks i have been getting panic attacks out of nowhere, my doctor saw the results and only suggested 3000IU a day, ever since i saw your videos about Vitamin D you have really educated me on this topic and i have been getting 10000IU everyday and after 2 weeks i can already tell i feel much better and my anxiety have decreased a lot!!
Amazing. Thanks for following my advice. Stay safe!
I would take much more for a week or 2 something like 20-30k per day with k2
@@DrbergI’ve followed you for over 4.5 years and have been taking 10,000 IUs for most of that time, less in summer. My bloods have just revealed 275 nmol/L. Should I be worried?

I was an ER RN during the pandemic. The physicians started giving patients large doses of Vitamin D in the ER and they continued in their hospital stay. That’s when I discovered Vit D was so important. I was taking 2,000 IU in my multivitamin but then bumped it up to 10K units and have ever since. I’m never sick.
What brand do you take? Is 10k good to take long term?
Don’t take too much
@@peacepocket I use Andrew Lessman Procaplabs supplements for the past 30 years. I think 10K is good for me, I’m indoors mostly. I do take K2 also
@@vishalthelkar7668 Too much is not bad. 40 minutes in the sun gives you 10,000iu.
Dr Berg, thank you so much, I really needed this information. I was constantly being put on prednisone which caused weight gain. My pain levels increased and now I’m told I have an autoimmune disease ontop of my other autoimmune disease. Thru your wisdom, videos, etc, I decided to help myself at this point. I started IF, vitamin d, magnesium, n now I’m doing a prolonged fast. It got so bad I was having trouble walking I was in so much pain, sitting, etc. I’m going to do this and eliminate all this inflammation that I know is the root cause. Thank you so much. I been thru several Doctors and I quit after no help from them and I tell them Dr Berg is my Doctor, to me you are, because they are not helping, only making my situation worse. Thank you so much, I’m in tears writing this, you have no idea how much you helped me.
