You may be wondering, do I need to take vitamins? Your body needs around 180 nutrients, and it’s often difficult to satisfy these requirements, especially for vitamin D, magnesium, zinc, and vitamin B3. You can not always identify nutrient deficiencies in the blood.
Low stomach acid interferes with vitamin and mineral absorption. If you have low stomach acid, you might also experience problems breaking down food with vitamin B12. Indigestion, heartburn, and SIBO are common symptoms of low stomach acid.
Synthetic vitamins aren't the same as natural ones. Do not take synthetic vitamin B12 or B9! Some nutrients need other nutrients to function properly, so taking them in isolated forms rather than a complex can cause problems.
Many vitamins contain fillers like maltodextrin that compete for nutrients such as vitamin C. Vitamin B1 is essential for breaking down sugar and carbs, so when you consume maltodextrin, it’s easy to become deficient.
Poor diet could be a reason why vitamins aren’t working for you. If you’re diabetic, prediabetic, or have insulin resistance, vitamin absorption will be greatly inhibited. Fix this by going on a low-carb diet.
Poor-quality supplements often contain calcium carbonate, which is limestone! Multivitamins with calcium and magnesium are poorly absorbed because these two minerals compete for absorption.
Vitamin effectiveness is greatly influenced by dosage. The RDA for vitamin D3 is only 600 IU, but you need around 10,000 IU daily. If you have a chronic illness, you need therapeutic doses of vitamins, not small amounts.
Always pay attention to the milligram dosage when choosing a supplement! Taking too little of a supplement significantly reduces vitamin absorption and effectiveness.

Cod liver oil for Omega-3, vitamin A, vitamin D.
Nutritional yeast for B vitamins.
Red meat for iron.
Eggs for all kinds of nutrients.
Lots of salads for potassium.
Always try to get your nutrients in a natural form.
Blessings!
Screenshoted ❤
But real food is too expensive! :-))
@@Aetila Try being sick, that’s really expensive.
Regarding the potassium, swiss chard is the most potent source calorie for calorie. I just wanted to point that out since a lot of people aren’t eating swiss chard in their salad. White potatoes surprisingly also have a lot of potassium but a much higher calorie count, and they are not low carb like Dr. Berg encourages.
I was hypokalemic and had dangerously low potassium so learned all these things. By the way, the hypokalemia stemmed from drinking too much licorice root tea which blocks potassium absorption. 😮 I never knew a tea could almost kill me, but it did.😢
I have been taking Dr. Berg all vitamins, gallbladder formula, probiotics, and digestive enzymes religiously for over a year now.
I feel more energetic and less stressed, I noticed less inflammation, and I can eat pretty much everything where before I felt discomfort and bloating after a meal.
Thank you, Dr. Berg !! You are a life saver.
You are a true blessing!! Thank you for all the good info!
A lot of women have digestive issues from high estrogen (and low thyroid, causing less biles to be made by the liver and subsequent gall-stones and gallbladder romoval).
Bile salts, ox biles, TUDCA all help.
I’m from India 🇮🇳 and I was so happy about your most recent video about the pot belly problems Indians face with Dr, Sangha.
I’ve been following this man for more than 3 years. I feel that big corporations might go against him. May he stay safe.
Thank you from Singapore Dr Berg. Vitamin D 50,000 IU with K. I use your brands Benfothiamine Magnesium and Zn. For menopause women like me, sleep is now 8 hours! Doctors in Singapore are warning of D toxicity. I have learned to listen to my body!
They started saying that in the USA. I don’t listen to them, I listen to Dr Berg. The toxicity of vit D is a lie! They know we feel better with plenty ofD
50000 iu per day is a lot! Maintenance dose should be 10000 iu per day
@shaheerzaman620 well as long your vatinmin d levels is 50 or more it should be ok
@@shaheerzaman620that’s not what Dr. Berg says, so we don’t believe you.
@@shaheerzaman620 your doctor said that?
Dr. Berg, I think you need to write a book explaining which supplements to take when, with what combination, and why. And if you’re feeling up to it, which supplements or minerals to take for certain diseases. I take notes, but I feel like I might not be the only one who would want this kind of book. Thanks!
Everyone is so different We need more Dr .bergs to help us individually ♥️🙏🏼
Hardly, lol as many health books as there are out there, I doubt you would be the only one 👍
The info is out there. Options ?
Have your nutrients measured with blood test.
Look at other sources. Not all holistic views will agree. My opinion. There are many variables with everyone mainly because of gut flora/bacteria / microbiome. Nobody has the same acid and type of bacteria which affects what you can absorb. Like he says you can take good stuff but it gets canceled potentially with other foods or alcohol or whatever.
Set your body up as he says by addressing things in order.
If you are insulin resistant to whatever degree , that has to be fixed. Not saying any nutrients will get to the cellular level but that has to be fixed. Then your gut microbes. This is why everyone is different. This also affects which nutrients get absorbed and which ones that don’t . So many variables. As Dr Ekberg ( not Berg)you gotta play with or adjust what you need based on symptoms and how how you feel.
Then as you move along over months test your levels based on blood test. But, remember blood tests can’t measure what’s inside the cell.
Good luck

I’ve been taking large amounts of Vit D3 + k2, and it helped me with my lower back pain.🙌
Me, too! Been doing it for years. If I slack off and lower the dosage, my pain comes back.
What’s your Vit D3 + k2 dosages?
@@lennygarrison6836 I take 20000 iU daily.
It nearly cured my fibromyalgia!
What is your dosage? My husband has a lot of back problems. I made him stopp taking Atorvastatins and we are currently taking 10,000 UI of Vitamin D3 with 200 mg Vitamin K2. He is 5’9″ and weights 220 lbs. Any recommendations for what it should be his right dose?
800 miligrams of B1 daily cured my peripheral neuropathy. Thanks a lot, Doc.
Which form of B1, thiamine or benfotiamine?
Was it only B1 Or u added other vitamins and minerals with it ….. What neuropathy u had?
I bought vitamins and supplements from a well-known company. I never imagined that they would put maltodextrin in them, but several did. I’ve switched to Dr. Berg’s and my health has improved significantly.
Oh yes. Read labels.
I agree! Just this month I purchased a bottle of COQ10 supplements from a very well -known manufacturer. Since beginning Dr Berg’s recommendations I have become a label reader. This COQ10 product listed “Potato Maltodextrin” as one of the “additional ingredients.”
I have chronic migraine disease and have already been avoiding Maltodextrin as a potential migraine trigger. Additionally, my fasting glucose was 125 a year ago and I have avoided Maltodextrin for that reason also.
If you didn’t read the label closely on the COQ10 you would miss “Potato Maltodextrin.”
I called the manufacturer and spoke to a customer service person and was told it is a “1 percent or less” ingredient added as a “flow agent” for manufacturing purposes.
They dismissed my request for a refund or a substitute for one of their other products… they basically just did not care.
I told them politely that I had used their products before but given the competition in the supplement market I would choose others in the future… they just didn’t care.
So, read the labels!
Thanks Dr Berg…
I use several of his vitamins and minerals, but they are expensive so I do shop around for other non-China organic or all natural supplements.
Poor sleep is the most underrated reason for poor absorption of nutrients from food.
Please make sleep your #1 priority.
Wish I could sleep!
I concur.
Also, reducing or not consuming alcohol helps with sleep and nutrient retention.
Drinking alcohol just before going to sleep should be avoided.
Agree, but it’s so hard! 😢
Reading this at 1 am. 😢
Dont follow what I’m doing but I’ve been taking 60,000 IU of Vitamin D3 which has K2. Along with many other supplements at mostly regular dosages but the D3 has helped a lot with immune system, relieved my allergies and overall health.
How long have you been taking this dose of D3? Glad it is helping you. 40,000 IU is equivalent to 1 mg, so your dose of 60,000 IU is equivalent to 1.5 mg.

My hair is literally growing back thanks to this man. Thank you!

I had ocular shingles for 27 months. When medicine could not cure it I turned to researching it myself. I took all the recommended supplements and changed my diet drastically.
One morning while parsing my $$$ worth of supplements for the week, I had an eye opening moment. I noticed every supplement was a white powder. That did not seem right. Not knowing what to do or what to think about it, I continued on but ears open for any explanation. Never found one and the supplementation never worked nor did all the plants based recommendations.
Kept the research going and it led to keto which led to carnivore. I went full carnivore because it made sense. It went against the full indoctrination of all we’d been taught for the last 60+ years but it made sense.
Within 1 month my body was healed from 90% of all pain and inflammation and in 6 months my ocular shingles disappeared.
Finally in this video I get the reason for all the white powder.
Benfotiamine is my try to see if my peripheral neuropathy can be healed.
Amazing testimony ! Thank you for sharing . I have eye issues and they want to do invasive surgery. Its not the route I want to take. Plus I have neuropathy in my right foot , but am not a diabetic. I will be looking into the Benfotiamine as well.
Glad the video was informative. Yes, look into Benfotiamine. Here is some additional information! 👉 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83sOzga-i0I
