But doesn’t resveratrol have other benefits? I have seen studies regarding bone density improvement etc.
It has benefits. But not from huge dose supplements. Turns out very small amounts like in food is beneficial. Like dried mulberries.

I like your channel because you are no nonsense and just get to the point. I think other YouTubers change their mind quite often and reacts to the latest a little bit too much.
I get what you’re saying about Dr. Stanfield, but in his defense, he changes his mind based on evidence he finds. What else is he supposed to do, keep his mind even though the evidence doesn’t call for it?
If he was just changing his mind flippantly, for no reason other than his “feels” or something else subjective, I could see why it would be an issue.
@Bromans just to clarify, I like Dr Brad and he has good intentions and I follow him. Maybe I shouldn’t have stated what I did. But for those of us trying to take supplements for longevity, which means for an extended period of time. I can’t keep changing my stack every three months. I also don’t buy into the idea that the latest and greatest study is the final answer. The study may or may not even apply to me.
Did you analyze when the Resveratrol could be taken to not have negative effects (eg: few hours before the training or after or maybe train in the day when you don’t take the Resveratrol). We need more accurate data ! 🙂
Just because you’re obsessed with fitness and exercises doesn’t mean other people are the same. I do moderate exercises every few days, but I don’t make it my life’s goal. I think resveratrol is for this type of person
But if it blunts positive effect of exercises then it’s even worse for a person that doesn’t workout much to take it

I would wait. The studies keep varying. We need to look at how the study was conducted. He is just reading the findings. I don’t think his specialty is creating or analyzing how scientific based studies were executed. Fasting star Chanel No5

Maybe an oversight but isn’t there a well known difference between low dose resveratrol for longevity and high dose resveratrol for suppressing cancer? No comparison to pterostilbene? Disappointed!
What are your thoughts on taking it in acute instances to support cardiac health
I was hesitant about taking a NR supplement that had Resveratrol in it but did it anyway. Stopped taking it after two weeks since I couldn’t lift the same weights and was loosing my hard earned muscles.
I’m 65, and given the state of the world I am not particularly motivated to optimize longevity. I assume I get a small amount of resveratrol in red wine, a necessary supplement that helps reduce culture-induced depression.
I agree with all your data. My personal experience is that is one of the only things that treated my mass inflammation when treating Lyme disease ✌️
You need to tailor your resveratrol levels. A very small amount when younger and a much higher amount when you’re older. The dosage of 500 mg to 1 g are far too high for young people and likely trigger cell death when all that’s was required is a small amount of cell stress which will trigger rejuvenation.
