  1. I eat real food and started taking Berberine 4 months ago. My A1C has gone from
    5.8 to 5.6 which was my goal and I have lost a couple of pounds as well.

  2. What dosage do you recommend? The one I take only has 200mg of Berberine, also has Ceylon Cinnamon & Turmeric. Should I switch to a 100% Berberine supplement???? BTW, I take your Liver cleanse & Gallbladder formula supplements and love the difference they’ve made! 🙏

    • Hello, Sherry. In my opinion, as dr. Berg had said as well, if you take a supplement containing different ingredients the benefits are minimal. You’ve to take them individually, on their own.
      Personally, I take 500mg of Berberine alone, for best results, couple times a day. Turmeric with the juice of one lemon, plus water, every morning, and cinnamon with some Kefir. Take care.

    • @Tracey B I haven’t had any problems and like that it contains so many other good ingredients. My only concern is it may not have enough Berberine (200mg) in the recommended dosage of one capsule daily!

  3. Berberine is one of my favourite supplements, though I’m not diabetic, yet I think it helped me avoiding diabetes so far. Thanks for the info Dr Berg 🌸

    • Do you snack late at night and do you eat sugar, bread, soda, etc? If no, you’ll likely not become diabetic whether on Berberine or not.

    • @J R According to what the doc says in the video though, it can still protect your heart, brain, immune system and mitochondrial damage, so it’s still not useless to take if you’re not taking it for diabetic reasons. (added the word for* in edit lol)

    • @Claudia Neil No I think it’s called Nutri-Things. Unfortunately I took the capsules from the original bag & I put them in a jar. So as far as I remember this is the name of the company.

I’m curious if you would take a deep dive into the nutritional value of french creamy cheeses like camembert, maroilles, livarot, etc. They’re not even legal to export in the USA, and from what I heard, even if the US produces great local cheeses, they’re nothing like EU methods because of FDA regulations. Similar to how Whiskey made in the USA is allowed to be flavored in stainless steel tanks with european oak wood chips whereas here in France its production its legally bound to having to be aged in actual wooden barrels not soaking wood chips in metal tanks. FDA changes a lot of stuff, and compared to EU norms, it still feels like the wild west for you guys. I don’t think I met more than 2, maybe 3 people who had a peanut allergy over here for instance in my 30 years of existence.

    • Very interesting. I’m inclined to think we have bad health info from our u s a 3letter gov’t entities

    • At first glance, there’s a huge difference between Raw Milk vs Pasteurized Milk. The Pasteurization process kills the living microorganisms and destroys nutrients. People who have issues with Milk, usually don’t with Raw Milk, and you can taste the difference. Hard to find though.

    • @Mike Rose I am the product of raw milk Era, only food/liquid my tummy could handle right after I was born, early 1930’s

    • EU food regulation is so much ahead of time, specifically in France and Norway. And you know what? The food tastes great there even without MSG and coloring additions. I am able to compare that because I was living in different parts of the world. Unfortunately, some countries allow too much synthetic chemistry in their food industries. MSG is a screaming example of an overused substance which can cause serious health consequences, especially for elder people.

  6. We found out about berberine about a month ago. There is also the derivative of it, dihydrobererine, which is more efficient and supposedly doesn’t mess with your intestines as much. Hubby has been taking that form for a month, along with an almost 100% carnivore diet and has lost 30#! He will get his labs checked next month and we are anticipating good results.

  7. I am diabetic and ditched my metformin years ago after hearing you recommending Berberine. Never looked back, my blood sugar is better on this then it ever was on metformin. Along with keto I feel fabulous!

    Any recommendations on how to do the right dosage?

    • 500mg to 1000mg once a day around 500mg is sufficient if not diabetic around dinner time or post dinner

    • Maybe go to an integrative medicine practitioner so they can look at any conditions you have and other supplements/medications that you take for possible interactions, if you are worried, otherwise, just read the label.

  9. Just started Berberine and Bile salts! I can’t tell you how I’ve seen results with bile salts! My sugar on waking us 83! But A1C is 5.7 which is high so started taking 2 Berberine per day! I’ve been able to exercise about 7 mins day with long covid but no crash!! I’m able to breathe while exercising and no muscle pain.. so this is a big change! My diet is clean.. totally but my weight is up 30lbs that I’m trying to loose hence trying Berberine for what I think is insulin resistance!! Thank you for your great videos! 🙏

  10. in my country, berberine is a medcine, not a supplement and used only for diarrhea even though the different benefits of berberine have been mentioned for years

  11. Dr. Berg, great info been following you for 6 years . You have greatly affected my health journey thank you. One question the amount of supplements you have recommended would take me an hour every morning. What would be the top 3 for men who follow a keto diet with some IF incorporated.? Thanks again.

    • Great point. One would go broke and end up taking hundreds of products if all we did was just follow all the youtube influencer’s videos they feel necessary to make. How about a TOP 5 list that everyone should take instead of non-stop videos of every possible vitamin/supplement ever made?

    • Dr Berg isn’t suggesting a you take all the supplements in his all videos.. Make an informed decision depending on what your body is telling you.

    • I would say: 100 mcg K2 mk7, 3000 IE D3 and 3 mg of Boron. Always together and always with food (and better take berberine as 4th😊)

Berberine, oh my gosh, I started to take this as I have AF along with thyroid, I researched all the things I needed for thyroid and now I don’t take medication, I feel so much better and then along came berberine, I’m back to operating at a 100 miles an hour just like I use to, thank you Dr Berg for all your help

I have hypothyroidism caused from Hashimotos and I need to heal it and get off the medication. I’m doing Keto and IF for 15 months now. How did you manage…?   16. Dr Berg I watch all of your videos and love them, but it is overwhelming to find the plan of supplements that applies to each individual. I am on a cancer journey , through surgery and chemo but recurrence will be when, not if. I would love to see a video that lays out a path on what tests need to be done with your doctor to determine your best approach to supplements. I get weary eating a large number of capsules daily, it is costly as well. Could you lay out an approach to determine what are the right choices? Thank you

    • Look for a naturopath who does live blood analysis!!! It is SO fascinating and tells you sooo much about your body. Then they tell you what your body would benefit most from, cleanse and intake wise.

    • ​@Stacy Derylove your advice. Also, I’m making my own supplement tinctures and glycerites. Using Levo ll machine now instead of mason jar technique.

  17. I’ve been using it for about a year now and it works. My A1C is lower (4.6 to 4.8) I actually had to cut back because I lost too much weight. I’m at 157 where I am comfortable at 175.
