Today I want to cover the different signs of a deficiency in trace minerals.

Trace minerals are minerals needed in tiny or trace amounts. A few examples of important trace minerals are zinc, iodine, selenium, and iron.

Trace minerals are essential for enzymes, which are proteins that run the body.

Symptoms of zinc deficiency:
• Hair loss
• White spots on the nails
• Low testosterone
• Diarrhea

Symptoms of iron deficiency:
• Anemia (weakness, fatigue, cold sensation)
• Brittle nails
• Hair loss

Symptoms of selenium deficiency:
• Infertility
• Fatigue
• Hair loss

Symptoms of iodine deficiency:
• Swelling in the lower part of the neck

You might not notice any symptoms right away, but a trace mineral deficiency could contribute to all kinds of chronic diseases later in life. It could even increase your risk of cancer.

The best sources of trace minerals:
1. Seafood
2. Organ meats
3. Eggs
4. Seaweed or sea kelp
5. High-quality sea salt

    • @Dr. Eric Berg DCYou truly are a national Treasure, I point people to your channel all the time.Thank you Dr.Berg you truly are one of the Greats and a true Doctor.

  4. Thank you so much Dr Berg ❤❤❤ Your trace minerals sure helps with my hunger cravings, especially if I’m stressed or work hard.

  5. I did a survey of the incidence of dementia in Sweden, by investigating the amount of copper in the soil for the various counties and found that the amount of copper in the soil (moraine) was inversely proportional to the incidence of dementia (NPI points). The occurrence is reduced by 75% if you have approx. 15 mg/Kg of soil compared to areas that have 5 mg/Kg of copper

  6. Your channel has literally changed my life. I was able to cure several bad health issues by changing diet and tracking my micronutrients. Thank you!!!!

  7. Thank you Dr Berg for your energy and insight on this most important topic of soil science that directly relates to Human Biology and Nutrition related issues. This is by far one of the best and most important articles to date. It all begins with the soil, water and air!

  8. Thank you Dr Berg for sharing your ongoing knowledge it has helped to improve my digestion and general well-being !

  9. Thank you Dr. Berg! I also appreciated learning about the soil! I would be interested if you did a channel on growing food with the angle that you did today to include soil, chickens and more.

  10. I am addicted to your videos doctor, they’ve always been beneficial to me and my family. You’re making it easy for us to access any health topic we want to learn about. I even make sure to watch them before I see tge doctor 😂. BIG THANK YOU DOC.

  11. My wife and I own a small farm and use No-Till, Permaculture and Organic practices. There is a huge difference in taste, appearance and shelf life of our produce when compared to grocery store produce. We focus on soil health as healthy soil produces healthy plants that produces wonderful veggies!

  12. Great video and so informative. One thing that is glaringly obvious in the U.S. is the huge number of people who simply don’t care if their food is poor quality and lacking in nutrients. They really really just don’t care and even when they get sick they still don’t care. I don’t think anything will ever get through to them.

  13. So many things to say about this video. First of all, Dr Berg, you are a godsend. I have leukemia and you are literally saving my life ❤️🙏

WOW the insight on soil. I knew it was bad, but thank you for the research you do to help us all. (I have made you my primary care doctor and my Kaiser doctor just sits in the chair to help order blood tests that I ask for).

Also… I have seen many books on Amazon with outrageous prices (looking at the cancer ones here) and I think this can’t be real. Why TF is this book so expensive???
Thank you for buying it for all of us ❤️

  14. This Doctor needs to be cloned and put into EVERY medical school to re-educate doctors with correct information about HEALTH. He is brilliant, and a gem of a person to anyone with common sense about how to improve their health in a sustained way. I just love learning from his simple to understand videos. I respect this man immensely. 😊😊👍👍
