  2. I was surprised I made freshly squeezed orange juice left some pulp in it and I could still feel the blood sugar spike from it like I had eaten something with added sugar
    I am overweight so I didn’t know if that played a role in it

  3. For me, a sugary beverage is only reasonable to drink during endurance training, cycling for example, where just pure glucose goes straight to the muscles. What do you think Siim about targeted sugar like that? Is it still a bad idea to consume it during long training?

    5-AGEs, or advanced glycation end-products, are created when sugars react with proteins and lipids through high heat. This reaction is also known as the Maillard or browning reaction. Studies have shown that AGEs are closely linked to chronic health diseases. AGEs contribute to oxidative stress to the body’s cells

  5. Hi Siim, thanks your excellent videos! We have quite a severe discussion on raw or medium done meat because of the parasite contamination found in such products. It seems that only well-done meat avoids an exposure, such as tapeworm or, much more dangerous, toxoplasmosis.

  6. I would rate EVOO much more superior than sunflower oil. Sunflower oil is actually pretty bad stuff if you ask me(omega6). Especially, when using it in high temperatures. It does not have the polyphenols to protect the oil like EVOO. There is high-oleic sunflower oil, that stuff is a little better. But here all the chips are fried in sunflower oil with big pictures of the flower on the packaging, like it’s a good thing. I avoid it myself!

    Some research shows AGEs from food is actually not as important as we once thought. You should probably worry alot more about pollution, smoking, inflammation and other toxins like vaccines. They will really increase Advanced Glycation End products, and when unlucky your own immune system will attack YOU!

    • I am a proponent of quality evoo and monounsaturated fat. Over time I listen to my body and feel that it do better with mufa than sfa. I hypothesize it is due to my genes, which goes in line with Chris Masterjohn research, I need to confirm it but otherwise I don’t need to change or hesitate because I feel better once I reduced sfa from my diet but still eating the quality animal proteins.

  8. I was quite happy until you got to fried food. I eat lots of onions, almost every day which are fried although I use lard, I stopped cooking with olive oil because of the burning point. I shall be careful not to overcook food in future!
