Today, I’m going to cover the top foods that can destroy your liver.

Unfortunately, these foods are very common, especially in restaurants.

There are three main problems that occur in the liver: inflammation, fatty liver disease, and scar tissue. Scar tissue in the liver can lead to cirrhosis.

While alcohol is a big culprit when it comes to liver issues, many people are facing a condition called non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Even young kids are being affected by this condition.

The good news is that the liver can take a beating and regenerate. But, there is a point of limitation.

The worst foods for your liver:
1. Fried foods
2. Canned meat products
3. TV dinners
4. Nachos
5. Canned tomato soup
6. Foods with high fructose corn syrup
7. Foods that contain aflatoxins

The best foods to support the liver:
• Cruciferous vegetables
• High-quality, grass-fed protein
• Eggs
• Cod liver or cod liver oil
• Fatty fish

    • @@Iliana___2532it’s not irrelevant – it underpins Dr. Berg’s advice that Is contained in multiple videos. Avoiding these 7 things that harm the liver would be an adjunct to the recommendation to eat one or two meals a day with a long interval of not eating to give your cells a break from dealing with insulin. And a break for your pancreas from making it so frequently. He didn’t emphasize avoiding sugar here, but that’s understood, and not irrelevant to the fatty liver issue.

Da video is NOT about keto NOR is it about IT…. You need to start sticking to the topic tho 😡

  1. Another influencer just put out a post stating that fructose is not that bad. So glad I found this channel. Fructose is bad, period.

  2. 1- fried foods
    2- canned meat products
    3- TV dinners
    4- nachos
    5- canned tomato soup
6- high fructose corn syrup foods
    7- aflatoxin

  3. Wow, Dr. Berg! That was an eye-opener! I never knew how much those everyday foods could damage my liver.

Thanks for sharing your story and all the info about what to avoid and what to eat instead. I’m definitely going to make some changes to my diet!

Especially loved the tips about cruciferous veggies and omega-3s. Time to stock up on broccoli and salmon!

    • A ver hasta cuando nos permiten los zurdos, que planean que comamos insectos y carne de laboratorio para ” salvar al planeta ” hay que eliminar al ser humano , vaya contradicción no 😔 🤷 🤦

  4. I grew up on all of this stuff. I am 68 now and having a real problem with my liver and I am having so much trouble getting rid of my fatty liver. I started having problems with my gallbladder back in 1996, but nobody was talking about what we know now. Then, in 2010 I got really sick and had my gallbladder removed. At that time, they said my bile was really thick, but again no one knew what to do to solve it. Now, I know I am having trouble again, because of rashes everywhere and pain all around my right side. I recently went to the emergency room, but they would not even listen to me about the liver issues and gave me medication for the rash. I am poor and only have Medicare, so my medical options are limited. It seems everything I do just makes things worse, so am very frustrated and concerned.

    • Read up on fasting. Go to a library, borrow books on fasting and nutrition. You don’t need doctors. You need knowledge. ❤

    • @@kimsim6757 I have been intermittent fasting for a couple years now. I did Keto for quite some time but can only do that for so long. I am taking Tudca to try and thin my bile. I don’t eat anything I don’t make myself. I have quit eating just about everything I know of that is not good for me (most of the time). Since the trip to the emergency room, I have been fasting with only cabbage soup, which has helped a little. Every time I try to “cleanse my liver” I get even sicker, so I am leery of doing anything too extreme.

    • Even you poor you can eat right.
Try to eat just stack one time in day just this …. And drink warm water with cayenne pepper, walk a lot

    • @@jagodah1130 You assume that I don’t eat right now, which is understandable, because I didn’t say as such. I changed my ways many years back, but I am still having trouble.

  5. No one seems to take liver health seriously until a developed cyst or can’t stop burping during a professional setting! Thanks again, Dr. Berg! Have a great weekend, everyone 🙂

  9. As an alcoholic taking my life back after 22 years of abuse was the best thing I did. I was told cirrhosis was my end… 19 months in no more health issues. Withdrawals almost killed me 3 times. I ended up not being able to walk due to so many vitamins and minerals missing …. was so dehydrated beyond belif. Heart attack, high blood pressure, fatty liver, and other things. An addict is ready when they are ready. For context, I’m 36, 5’1, and I was always an athlete until addiction took everything. Now Running 5 miles a day. Doing intermediate fasting and truly watching what I eat after only 2 months in, especially cutting all sugars. Except fruit. An alcoholic has to be very careful bc diabetes can come into play. Dr. Berg truly saved my life with intermediate fasting and breaking down everything. I’m a freaking walking miracle! Cheers to the mf new year ya’ll! This body and especially the mind, has never looked of felt better. Weight was 220 im at 140 and was clinically depressed, BDP… life ain’t so bad now, but my gosh, the focus and discipline it takes. The pain it took to get here, though.

  10. After a 3 month break I came back to Healthy Keto, AND I CONFIRM THAT MY BODY IS THANKING ME. I already feel the changes just after 2 days.

  11. I heard you mention the gall bladder a couple times in this video. I had mine removed many years ago like many others have. It would be great if you could do a video about how life and nutrition intake can be improved if you don’t have a gallbladder as well as the long term issues that can arise from not having one. I watch a lot of your videos and have learned so much from you. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.

  12. Cheap grain based ingredients are a recurring theme. Stopping vegetable oils has made a major difference for me, combined with removing grain products in general removed many medical issues and is now promoting recovery.

  13. Happy new year. Dr Berg , thanks for another year of great videos and all the knowledge you have pasted on ✌️

  14. Keep spreading the word. The more we as a population understand the literal trash that is in our foods and how to avoid them, the better off we will be.

  15. Thank you so much Dr.Berg for this video and I am so grateful the LIVER has been on your mind!! Last week after never having any gall issues, I had stomach pains which I thought was food poisoning from a salad I ate but I had to get a non surgical removal of a 1cm gallstone out of my bile duct. They also had to widen my duct because it was narrow and everything was successful but they still kept begging me to take my gallbladder out even scheduling my surgery without me even knowing! The biggest red flag was the “gallbladder is not important” speech and I knew something was not right about it. After 4 doctors tried convincing me they finally relented. I came home on YouTube and seen you have a plethora of gallbladder, stones AND liver videos and I am following them to the T. I refuse to give my gallbladder out! Thank you for your diligence! HNY!

  16. Love your videos always amazing so very helpful can’t thank you enough. Doctor happy new year Dr Berg and to all your viewers.
