Today, I’m going to tell you how you can easily get rid of puffy eyes. Puffy eyes are also referred to as eye bags or periorbital edema. Puffy eyes are often treated medically with steroids, antihistamines, and other medications.
Cucumbers and undereye patches can provide temporary relief but do not solve the problem.
High levels of sodium can cause puffy eyes, and the kidneys are often involved, but the root cause of puffy eyes is too much sugar in the bloodstream.
When you have too much sugar in your bloodstream, you also have too much insulin in your bloodstream. This can eventually lead to insulin resistance and cause your body to retain sodium.
After long periods of excessive sugar consumption, your kidneys can become overloaded. This often shows up in the eyelids before other parts of the body.
Excessive sugar consumption causes fluid retention and sodium retention along with the following:
•Decreased potassium
•Activation of the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight)
•Increased renin
If you want to get rid of puffy eyes, you need to remove the sugar from your diet. You should also increase your potassium intake.

Hello from france 🇫🇷 thanks doctor just what I needed! Puffy eyes every for already 6 months 😢
You are amazing Dr. Berg👍🏻.We love you🙏🏼Happy💖 New Year to you☃️🎊
Thank you Dr. Berg👑🏆
yep. Keto got rid of my puffy eyes and insanely dry eyes
Everything you say makes sense. One cause of puffy eyes, that no one talks about is blepharitis. Demodex mites that overpopulate your eyes cause major inflammation in the eye and around it. As we age, this can be a real issue that doctors ignore. Love for you to discuss this on your video some day and offer solutions. Thanks Dr Berg.
What can we do about the mites?
Exactly. Spray your bed everyday Lysol type spray. Also once per month spray the mattresses with a household bug spray. No mites.
@@naps3386tea tree oil on eyelashes every night. Mix with carrier oil like olive or coconut etc… must do for 3 months every night . Put in your eyebrows too. You will start getting acne in beginning but that’s them dying off.

Thank you! Pls do hollow undereye video too 🥺
Happy New Year Dr. Berg. Thanks so much for these.
I’m wondering about floaters in the eye. Would you have some advice on how to deal with those?
Much appreciated.
Oh yeah. Dr Berg has a video on that too. Look for it. It’s on YouTube.
Thank you Dr Berg!!! You help so many people. Maybe you could hand put your card and invite them to check.out your page.❤
I spent 10 days away from my mum and she ended up with puffy eyes and even had flashing lights in one of her eyes. When I asked her what she’d been eating, she listed lots of takeaways, junk and carbs! In 2 days of eating low carb, the puffiness has gone down and the flashing lights have gone away completely. This is all thanks to Dr Bergs videos and advice!
The best explanation of the best doctor ❤️
What I like about your answers is you’re consistent. You’re not all over the place where they say it could be this. It could be that it could be so many things causing the problem. Meanwhile when they’re all over the place what they’re demonstrating is they really don’t know what’s causing it. Do they realize that they’re not taking any accountability. All the shown is the degree that they went to school for to earn doesn’t prove that they’re qualified at anything except speculation. And they prescribe all these drugs that make your condition worse. Just another way to prove their incompetent. And it also proves even more so they don’t want to be held accountable. They just want to earn big bucks.
Dr. Berg, is your Vitamin D 10,000 supplement and your Vitamin C supplement safe during pregnancy?❤
Please mention this could be caused by heredity and no amount of carb, sugar, salt reduction will help. I had bags starting in my teen years. I was diagnosed as pre diabetic and put on blood pressure meds 2 years ago. After 2 years of strict reduction of sodium, carbs, and sugars, I still have them
I’ve had bags under the eyes since I was a teenager and never knew how to fix the issue. I don’t often eat desserts, but for New Year’s Eve, I bought ice cream and chocolate sauce. I indulged for two days, and I had no idea why I got up those two mornings (after enjoying the dessert) and noticed I looked like I’d been through a war, lol. Bigger bags under the eyes than usual! I sat down today and while eating lunch (a salad), I watched your vid. I truly believe your vid explained it all! Thank you!
Call a kid “overweight” nowadays and get shunned for being real. It’s very sad. Thank you, Dr. Berg! 💯
Hello Doctor, may I have a question: Is it permissible to take vitamin D3 after drinking tea? Does tea prevent the absorption of D3 like iron? Thank you.
❤🙏👍This topic is so awesome, i really need it but don’t know how to ask for .Thank you so much Doctor Berg.❤
Wow! Like always it was very convincing, even before taking practical steps to reduce my Sugar intake I am convinced it is the case and Puffy Eyes could be treated if instructions were followed ( minimum sugar and potacium-rich diet ) 💫💫💫
