0:00 Introduction: 6 foods that can potentially cause cancer
1:12 What triggers cancer?
2:25 6 foods that may cause cancer
6:51 Generally recognized as safe (GRAS) foods that are unhealthy

Today, I want to cover the six main foods that can potentially cause cancer. However, many other factors can trigger cancer, including:
• Exposure to environmental toxins such as pesticides, radon, and cleaning chemicals
• Old age and age-related changes in the body's cells
• Viruses, fungi, parasites, and bacteria
• Pollution

Six foods that may cause cancer:
1. Alcohol: Chronic alcohol exposure can damage your mitochondria, which can lead to cancer.

2. Trans fats: These are artificially produced fats commonly found in fried foods and processed snacks. They have been linked to an increased risk of cancer and other health issues.

3. Burnt or charred meat: Harmful chemicals such as heterocyclic amines (HCA) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) can be formed when meat is cooked at high temperatures. These have been linked to various types of cancer. Add garlic or rosemary to your meat while cooking to reduce your risk.

4. Advanced glycation end products (AGEs): These are compounds formed when protein and sugar are heated together. Foods high in AGEs include barbecued meats, fried foods, and ice cream.

5. Processed meats: These can contain nitrates, which have been associated with an increased risk of cancer. It's important to note that grass-fed and grass-finished meat differs from processed meat. Therefore, it's important to choose quality sources of meat.

6. Ultra-processed or junk foods: These foods are highly refined and are high in sugar, unhealthy fats, and chemicals. They can cause inflammation and deplete our vitamin and mineral reserves.

It’s important to look out for Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) foods that are unhealthy, such as:
• Maltodextrin
• Modified starch
• High fructose corn syrup
• Corn oil
• Soy oil
• Canola oil
• Corn syrup

  1. I’ve been preparing my steaks in an air fryer and have had some people comment that I need a good char on them. I’m not glad I wasn’t charring them too much, and also happened to be adding rosemary & other fresh herbs while cooking. I guess I’ll just keep doing what I’ve been doing, maybe without even charring them. Thank you again, Dr. Berg.

  2. The greatest! Thank you sir for what you do! May God Almighty continue to protect you and give you more wisdom ❤

  3. We reside in a gigantic laboratory which chemically engineers numerous foods, nutrients and supplements that speed up our demise. It’s up to us to become more educated and cognizant about what we consume. Knowledge is power!

  4. I find it odd that Meat consumption in America has decreased in the last 60 years but cancer and mostly colon cancer has increased. Maybe it is not the meat but lack of exercise and junk food.

    • I thought that this couldn’t be right and googled it, and sure enough I found a lot of graphs showing meat consumption per capita rose.

    • Probably non grass-fed meat along with other products that has seed oils and/or inflammatory oils that plays a role in the increased cancer rates. Just check out the foods that have “bio engineered” products in them. It’s really sad and appalling.

    • I’m wondering if cancer has also increased in the US due to the fact that the people who still are eating meat typically eating larger portions? If you refer to the “typical serving of food” from 25 or 30 years or more, most Americans are eating larger serving sizes…I’ve noticed this whether we are talking about meat, sweets, even bread. I saw a documentary on serving sizes of restaurants from several decades ago and it was compared to recent years…bigger portions.

  5. Thank you for fighting the fight for our generations… every person that you truly wake up is a saved generation when they pass on the knowledge.

  6. Awesome info video we did keto for 2 years and now doing carnivore diet to improve hubby health thanks

  7. 1. Alcohol
    2. Trans fat – partially hydrogenated
    3. Burnt or charred meat
    4. Proteins&Sugar under heat (BBQ ribs)
    5. Processed meats (has nitrates)
    6. Ultra processed foods (junk foods) dyes, chemicals etc.

    • @@Meatmanmark75what you talking bout?? Carbs are important for the body. Our body needs fats, carbs & proteins

    • @@bryanpark5321 no such thing as an essential carbohydrate. there are essential fatty acids and essential amino acids. Expand your horizons

    • @@DanCantStandYA who said there was such thing as an essential carb?? . Just said that our bodies need 3 elements which are Fats, “carbs” & proteins. You can’t deny that no matter how hard you try.

  8. The sad part is a lot of those processed food and Seed oils GMOs are banned in other countries only in the United States can you get all that garbage

    • I lived in western Europe most of my life and was diagnosed with Celiac (can’t eat gluten) at a young age. Every time I had a little bit my stomach went crazy. Here in Russia the grains don’t bother me at all and I even took a new test for Celiac while visiting my home country, and now they can’t find any signs of it! So I think people need to start rising up against big pharma for sure and demand clean food.

  9. Thank you, Doctor all your videos have helped me be so much more healthier. Sleeping better lost 60 pounds, but still struggling with the sleep apnea.

    • I suggest you check each video he made. on sleep apnea. and on subjects connected with this.

    • @@experimenthealthyketo83 I have definitely seen a lot of them. It is getting better though maybe I just need time or something. But still there. I have taken so many recommendations and I have all the videos saved. If you can think of any maybe I haven’t seen, maybe you could send them to me please, and thank you. And God bless.

  10. It’s all so overwhelming to keep up with–I just follow my Keto diet and hope for the best.🖤

  11. This is one of the reasons Indian cuisine is the healthiest in the world. I dont mean westernized restaurant indian cuisine but home cooked Indian cuisine with dal, ghee , various vegetables, herbs and spices.

    • I like Indian food but avoid as extremely oily & chemical colourings & very funny with clean kitchen & hygiene another reason I tend not to go to restaurants unless by recommendation & hygiene awards.

  12. Superb video!
Another trigger: trauma and chronic stress.
Thanks again for all you do.
    Peace love and blessings 💫

  13. I started KETO 3 years ago. I decided to splurge and ate a bunch of junk food. I actually had to take a sick day because I felt so bad the next day. That was really an eye opener!
