I seriously thought that that first A.I. image of an obese Siim, had pierced nostrils.
I was like….🤨
Thx
Cheers
I think coffee isn’t good, it increases cortisol, and if you’re overweight you already have cortisol issues, poor sleep because you’re overweight and caffeine possibly affecting sleep, and coffee is dehydrating, and and you’re overweight and prediabetic you’re already constantly thirsty
There is a ton of research showing the numerous benefits of caffeine for fat loss and lean tissue hypertrophy. As far as high cortisol, that can be mitigated with proper exercise. Proper resistance training and high intensity intervals, avoiding long steady aerobic work and opting for anaerobic workouts in it’s place.
But coffee consumption is linked to lower rates of diabetes, heart disease and obesity
@@SiimLand I do think that drinking black coffee ☕ is the best and only way to drink it
Eating a low carb high fat diet as opposed to a “concentrate on the calories” diet ignores the fact that low carb high fat satiates. Yes, protein increase and fiber increase could possibly do this but fat primarily satiates.
High carb low fat diet can be equally satiating. Satiety index isnt dependent of fat %
@@SiimLand Ok, but when Americans started eating a lower fat diet they started gaining weight and eating more calories. Perhaps cutting the (natural) fat wasn’t a good idea?
Totally! I lost 56 lbs in 8 months and enjoyed it because I didn’t get hungry and I love protein and fat. I’ve kept it off for 5 years. I also fasted, which I’ve been utilizing since 1978. I gained weight after a tragedy.
@SiimLand Think it depends on your body, right? I was insulin resistant so it was hard to loose weight eating carbs . After a period of low carb, keto my body responds very well to carbs. I’ve kept 56 lbs off for 5 years.
12k steps a day sounds sustainable. 50 lb weight loss should take about 18 months. Signing up for a regular weekly fitness class with the same group of people works well for me as an added social pressure.
Checkout my evidence based longevity video on having cheesecake but only if you’re really serious about cheesecake… Goes viral
Why would you name the vidoe “from fat to fit” if you were never overweight and never experienced the unique struggle of those who are overweight? Highly misleading smh.
…“How I Would Do It” Why did you stop reading? It’s not misleading if you bothered to read the entire title. 😅
I enjoy your content Slim, but people who have never been overweight really aren’t good at giving advice to people who are severely overweight.
I just lost 10kg in 9 weeks, including a recent 1 week diet break.
I’ll make my own video about that ha, but the one thing that thinnies don’t get is that satiety is overrated, or at least misunderstood. For the most people, fat people are not getting satiated, in any sense that matters, eating broccoli.
Tbh the walking is OTT too. Now actually I have done a decent amount of walking last few weeks, but I have always been physically active. 2h a day will be way too much for someone starting out; they will need to taper up even to that IMO. Plus unless they have a desk treadmill they won’t find the time. What will almost certainly happen is that they will eat back those calories.
I need to lose 17 kilos. I’m doing exercise everyday I but don’t have a very active day.Should I eat my basal metabolic rate or a little bit higher?
I find Siim’s content valuable — accurate and very concise!
Very helpful – thank you 🙏
Siim in this case, why introduce sweet potatoes and other carbs while still 10 kg overweight? Wouldn’t that only slow one down and lead to further carb cravings and less satiety? I’d imagine it’d be better to keep fat as primary fuel the entire way through until goal weight has been reached.
Keep this cut and parting position. Grow curtains out 🙂 It fits your hairline!
Artificial sweeteners cause anxiety and they’ve done mice studies showing that it affects their progeny too.
