0:00 Introduction: Common health mistakes to avoid
0:05 #1 Accepting bad health tips and the worst diet advice
1:13 #2 Consuming protein powder
1:48 #3 Treating symptoms alone
2:30 #4 Reducing sodium
3:04 #5 Consuming unsaturated fats
3:38 #6 Avoiding red meat
4:25 #7 Reading nutrition labels

1. Accepting the wrong health advice as fact
Just because someone is a doctor doesn’t mean you should trust them blindly.

2. Depending on protein powder for protein
Protein powder is incomplete compared to animal protein. It doesn’t offer the vitamins and minerals needed to stay healthy.

3. Treating symptoms and ignoring the cause
This is the main problem with the medical system. Healthcare practitioners prescribe medication to fix a problem instead of addressing the root cause. This is especially problematic when treating chronic disease because if you get off of the medication, the problem does not go away.

4. Focusing on salt reduction to reduce high blood pressure
Instead of focusing on salt reduction, which will cause weakness and other problems, focus on increasing potassium. Potassium keeps your arteries healthy and flexible.

5. Choosing unsaturated fats over saturated fats
Unsaturated fats like seed oils are highly refined and are in almost every ultra-processed food. Avoid them!

6. Avoiding red meat
Humans have been eating red meat throughout history. It’s rich in vitamins and minerals and should be included in a healthy diet.

7. Only reading nutrition labels
Nutrition facts can be confusing and misleading. You have to read the ingredients! Look for sugar, hidden sugars, seed oils, and starches. Starches are worse on your blood sugar than actual sugar. Many products that contain starches have 0 sugars listed in the nutrition facts.

    Thank you Dr Berg!!
    😺👍

  2. To the one reading:you’re unique and brilliant, keep believing in yourself and may you succeed in everything you do🙏have a great day dear friend❤❤

  3. The internet became my doctor 10 years ago. So much information is online. The only in person doctor I need to see is for blood work. Case closed

    • @@pauljames9596 i do exactly the same. Once a year just the blood works. I write the test names by myself and present it to the doctor. 😁

    • Don’t believe all the misinformation and lies on the Internet. Go to see your family doctor and take their advice, they’re medical experts, not some online charlatan

  4. My doctor told me if i remained on this Keto diet i would have a heart attack in a few years even though i had lost 140 lbs.

    • @@PeterRabbitWhatsuphow is this strange? There are so many even much more overweight than that.

    • You probably misunderstood the doctor:
If your doctor would lose more customers because they remained on keto diet, HE would have a heart attack

    • Your doctor is telling the truth. Doesnt matter how much weight you lose. You still can’t live off keto alone.

  5. Being higher allergic to chemicals, I have researched and studied natural remedies for the past 25 years. It’s a never ending process but if you are in tune with your body you will know what it needs. The only time I would trust a doctor who doesn’t know my body other than text book knowledge, would be maybe if I broke my arm.😊 and that’s a big maybe.

    • We can reward him and others by sharing this info! I am grateful for this as it solidifies my decision to stop buying all chips! I used to consume one bag every afternoon after getting home from a stressful career, combining it with a glass of Chardonnay! 😅😮

    • @@Anamericanhomestead right?!?! He’s totally calling out big F and Big G for all their lies and corruption. I’m so grateful too, it’s time someone stood up against them.

    • @@nevastrong2850 good for you. You can make your own “chips” that would be great every now and then.

  6. For me, eating and drinking before sleep is one of the worst mistakes. I can eat the same amount of food, but with the wrong timing, it turns a health restoring, fat burning sleep into an elevated blood sugar, frequent urination nightmare, which leads to low energy and poor food choice the next day. I consider sleep the natural way to fast. Take advantage of sleeping and the few hours before and after sleep, we can dry fast without much mental effort. Thanks Dr. Berg for all these great health lessons!

  7. Boy, how many times have I heard that! The one that really got me was a medical person asking me what medications I was taking? When I said nothing just vitamins. With a smirk and a little pissed off he says “At your age how is that possible”?! What an arrogant jacka$$! I was pissed!

    • How dare you not be dependent on a bunch of prescriptions! 🙄 I totally agree; they don’t want to help us solve the root causes of they’re just pill pushers. For the most part.

    • EXACTLY like mine…I came off metformin and 4 anti depressants a day!!! And he STILL had the nerve to tell me I’m wrong after a year of feeling great…JERKS

    • My moms doctors was pushing her to a bunch of cholesterol medication. When I told her that she will work on getting on a strict diet, she said “but she can die from the cholesterol”. Not even considering the diet and exercise option. Doctors are paid to prescribe as many medications as possible and for you to be on them forever, so we get even more sick and get even more medication.

  8. My brother and his wife trusted the doctor blindly, she got miscarriage 3 times. I pleaded them to change the murder doctor to acquaintance I trust. And surprisingly the 4th child born healthy.
PS: My brother want to become healthy but make 7 Stupid Health Mistakes. His health not improving at all and of course he extremely believe that nonsense frequent eating doesnt trigger IR at all. I just fought him last night.

    • Went to a vegan potluck on July 4th. Made a new friend until she said how long have you been vegan…I told truth…then said I am a recovering vegetarian and said I was working on my health since March. She agreed her blood sugars were high, and she had fatty liver too (mine liver is healed, A1C going down) no longer pre-diabetic, I may have even been diabetic when I started. Any way I guess high blood sugar is making her hangry…because she won’t talk to me anymore. Just sent me a vegan keto link….

    • @@user-wd6rc8ox2m I think the way around this is first help those who want the data. These people will improve their life and environment. At some point, the ones who were not curious may open their eyes. But first, there has to be enough of us with the truth. Otherwise, you will spend way too much time with those who don’t want to listen to you.

  9. The amount of sugar in that bag of chips when it said zero sugars was an eye opener! I am so glad I listen to you! You’ve changed my life around!

    • Alarming isn’t it? It’s as if the FDA, food pyramid, Gates’ new interest in our food supply-it’s all deceitful information. Wisdom and discernment are essential these days!

  10. I love you Dr. Berg! You helped me diagnose myself (with the right advice) and I had to tell the them what scan to do in order to correctly diagnose me right. What a mess our medical system is.

  11. ALL THE COLLEGE TUITION IN WORLD COULDN’T BUY COMMON SENSE. 🤷‍♂️ Have a wonderful day, y’all! 👊

  12. Dr. Berg you are very special. No one never explain these hidden carbs. I do not eat those stuffs. Long before I know they are bad for your health. People should be aware of what they are eating. I cannot thank you enough . Everyone should have an awareness of what we eat. Lots of love and good wishes to you.

  13. Most of us have learnt so-called “experts” will say anything for the right price. The past few years have proved it.

  14. I do a lot of sports. When I tried to substitute red meat with any other type of protein, I started constantly feeling not recovered. I deeply believe that it’s impossible to substitute a good quality red meat. God bless Dr. Berg.

  15. Dr Berg has been more beneficial to human beings than any politician has ever been.❤🇬🇧💯👍🙏

  16. Thank you for being bold with your information. I think you’re getting bolder and I appreciate it ❤

  17. Doctor’s do not typically update their knowledge on the latest research and best practices.
That’s the biggest issue, especially with primary care physicians.

  18. Since I met you, I don’t need a doctor and my health has changed hundred percent I was sick all the time not after I met you not anymore. I follow you and I’m healthy. Thank you for everything you do for us from the bottom of my heart.
