  2. I’ve heard that creatine may offset some of the negtive effects of bad sleep. Any thoughts on this?

  3. Where can we submit questions? I wanted to ask about fatigue/muscle recovery supplements (rather then longevity focus) for someone in 50s who is extremely active and is fatigued from and cannot do what they did previously (HIIT workouts etc). I have been trying to limit the “hard” HIIT days and have more easy days though legs seem still fatigued. Might just be age lol.

  5. Glutathione drops not just with age, having met the world foremost researchers they have said with poor health gluthahione drops..with stress and environmental factors it drops too

  6. Also what about focussing on fast twitch muscle enhancing exercises as you age to increase longevity as you lose those type of muscle fibers? Any benefits for longevity from that for longevity or is more for mobility?

  7. Thanks for the 50+ list, I (63) already take 4 or the 5. Just a nitpick here…. I take 4000 fu nattokinanse twice a week but I don’t consider it a ‘supplement’, I take it for what it is, an enzyme that has nothing to do with my body’s nutritional needs, it just happens to have a quirky ability to dissolve fibrotic tissue.

  8. Would 4 grams of glycine and 1.2 grams NAC be good for a 70 year old male. I also take 20 grams of collagen peptides daily. NAC seems to irritate my stomach, should it be taken with food?

    • AT 60 i take melatonin 5mg and L threonate magnesium at night for good sleep. i take a week off every six weeks. it works for me . 😊

  9. i would bet that the bodybuilders who died at 50, if they were measured a day before they would score great results at v02 max and other longevity tests, because been fit doesn’t mean you’ll live longer. my granma did no exercise and she lived 96. schwarzenegger will not make it. you need only muscle enought ( or don’t take risks) as to never fail and break the hip

    • bodybuilding ≠ high vo2max, first of all. second of all, bodybuilders want to maximize cell hrowth, which is why most of them eat meat and dont restrict methionine. further cell growth through amino acid abundance induces a higher chance of disease and inflammation and lots of risks for disease, ultimately leading to death. being fit = having more rhan adequate strength+ high vo2max, which WILL result in a higher life expectancy if all other factors are in tune.

  10. Brilliant information you are sharing in your videos, but you should avoid the unofficial talking manner you often partake. For example 6:40 you are saying incoherently “you know physical permormace and currently like cognitive permormance”. It seems your brain was wanting to say that creatine does not have that much research on cognitive benefits yet and you decided to just say random words “like currently” because of that. You should look up to how Dr Brad Stanfield talks on his YouTube videos. Anyways, thanks for the content.

    • I understood him perfectly. Not everyone speaks the same, or has the same range of vocabulary. What matters is that the audience understands what they happen to be communicating. In this instance, I think Siim made his point quite well

    • @@onlyonezino Well, I would not have commented if the only problem was vocabulary. Siim seems to be overconfident with himself by having mediocre preparation for some of his videos which leads not only to unofficial speach manierisms, but also to even some factual mistakes, which cannot be forgiven to a creator of this genre. For example in his previous video about ashwagandha he told that cortisol is part of a neurotransmitter profile as well as that ashwagandha “may make one feel moodless because of high serotonin”, both of which are basically misinformation. One cortisol is a hormone not a neurotransmitter, second high serotonin does not make people “moodless”.

    • @@Resolutelt As my daughter says “life’s not perfect.” Siim is bilingual.. he’s doing great! English for me is best spoken by non-native speakers of English – language expression is different. Siim knows what he is talking about and what he means! Be respectful and chill.. ❤

  11. Forest is great- my kids and I don’t even bring shoes- nothing like walking up a small stream barefoot after a couple miles in the forest floor.

  12. ozone therapy apparently is a powerful antimicrobial against viruses bacteria etc. TA1 peptide once weekly post 50 is prob smart to support the immune system. Epitalon helps to support natural melatonin production and is a powerful telomerase activator

  13. Would I still need to supplement glycine even though I get on average 5+ grams of glycine through foods daily? Thanks so much for your time and great work Siim!

  14. Hi Siim,
I know you like whey protein, but how do you think about it being ultra processed? I wouldn’t be surprised if all the whey protein the youth of today consumes leads to some studies of it being bad for longevity
