What?!?! That’s insane, I never knew that 🤣 I love chicken and ducks. Funniest birds in the world
Ducks are absolutely adorable! There’s little point in keeping them as pets, but who cares? They make you smile 🙂
That’s awesome! I’ve got a new theory: Velocoraptors evolved into chickes.
In Jurassic park , velociraptors eat humans ! … but in real world it seems Humans have been eating velociraptors !
Google “Archaeopteryx” i think u will enjoy

Payback’s a B!
That may not be as far from the truth as you think.
“Dinosaurs” like raptors are in fact mostly “birds” tiny arms? Face them backwards and you get wings.
Chickens and birds like them didn’t evolve from Dinosaurs.
Love my chickens and Muscovy!
No kidding, when my family had chickens as pets, them chickies would run down the yard to beat the cat and dog at getting there first for the table scraps.
Who won though?
@@whoknows8223 always the dog…in the end it gets to eat chicken 😂
Chicken is omnivore after all 🙂
Thanks Sherlock
No way! You also saw the video??
What are the odds that you comment on this exact fact from a video I just watched, where this fact is the main topic?
We love our chickens Dr Berg 😊
Meat, they love love love MEAT
I love the little dinosaurs
They’re the best livestock imo
Make Chickens Healthy Again
Good one👍
@@themblan I thought I had weak chickens for almost two years until I switched their layer feed from a big chain feed store brand (you will know which one) to a smaller more local feed store brand. Now I actually get eggs that are worth keeping.
Make amurika healthy again
I got eggs when I started feeding them rice and beans along with a little diatomaceous earth, and food scraps that included meat or fish
Make US healthy again eating their eggs.
Stopped eating grains…best move ever
You know you want some grains. Just eat some grains 😈
@@sstills951 it will destroy my gut
Love seeing you outdoors on your farm
Truth!
I fed my chicken meat and rarely ate any of their “feed” plus they chomped on bugs
That makes a ton of sense when we observe that chickens eat bugs and grubs. 👍
Lol youre right
I was going to say that ‼️
They love worms, caterpillars and other meaty insects!
And mice!
We had a chicken that would eat cooked chicken.
You are what you eat I guess! Lol
My dad is a fish merchant.. he used to supply poultry farms with dry fish meal… No wonder..
Why doesn’t he still, promote the omega 3’s in their eggs.
what the content of a fish meal?
Seen the clip of a child in a restaurant complaining that she didn’t order fish ??
it was chicken that had been fed fish meal cos it was cheaper than grain.
🤮🤮
Fishmeal makes eggs taste like fish.
Yup I feed my chickens all my scraps they love meat ❤❤
We need more of this content: Dr. Berg On His Farm 😊😊😊
I realized that organic chicken drumsticks are _cheaper than canned dog food!_ Pressure cook for 2 hours and the bones turn to paste! I feed the whole thing – marrow and calcium – to my dogs. Add a little brown rice and sweet potatoes and it’s an excellent food for them.
I imagine you can get meat scraps and bones from your local butcher too, and pressure cook them to soften cartilage and marrow for chickens too!
That’s a great idea! I wonder if this would work with fish heads.
Idk if the prolonged high heat would kill off some of the omegas and whatnot?
Plus fish head smell would be…strong😂
@@rumo510 I’ve done this with fish as well. Good fish doesn’t small that bad (but it can leave a smell for a few days on the silicone seal of my Instant Pot.)
Personally my pressure cooked meat has to be better than processed canned dog food!
Also, you’ve revealed my secret! I buy salmon bones from my butcher for 99¢/lb, pressure 10mins, carefully strip meat, add back to the broth, add potatoes and dill, 8 more minutes, then a pint of cream after it’s cooked! Salmon cream soup is amazingly filling – all that fat cuts the appetite!
As the native Americans did I’ve used all the fish that’s humanly edible and bury the bones and guts under plants…like my grandmother, when i plant a shrub or tree. Plant a good 1ft or so below root ball, so in breaks down without burning the roots. And yes, take it easy on the corn in chick food. They love nuts and sunflower seeds too!! Oh,…and of course watch out for (any) commercial chick food!! That ..can.. and often does contain some horrible added proteins. Such as,..bloated dead cattle, scraps of cancer tissue carved out of animals from the slaughter houses offal barrels. My dad worked for a major meat packing house. This’ for real. Organic range fed, grow your own , or be sure who raises your foods. Just saying…. you’ll be healthier and happier!!
Aren’t some dogs allergic to chicken??
It’s interesting you bring it up, I just saw some people yesterday having a conversation about one of their dogs being allergic to chicken. I didn’t even realize that was a thing, but apparently it is. I wonder, though, if it’s the chicken or if it’s what the chicken was fed during it’s poor little life
My chickens love protein! They’re free range and anything dead that they find is gone quickly. And because they have such acidic digestive system, they can eat anything. Spoiled foods, moldy foods, they’ll eat all scraps and never get sick. My composting pile is their salad bar. 😂
Nice
I never thought I‘d see a chicken running with minced meat in its beak 😂
That is why pastured raised eggs are healthiest !
Good slogan….Pasture raised NOT pasteurized!
I’ve had chickens for over a decade now. I’ve said the same thing for years. While I do supplement their diet with Non-GMO scratch grains made locally, chickens need a source of natural proteins and herbs in order to have a balanced diet. They will only eat so much grain before they go back to foraging natural foods. My chickens roam free and roost in the trees at night. My fresh eggs are simply amazing!
Wild chickens before domesticating them have always eaten bugs and worms. City folks are funny.
