Can you explain if you please what is msg ?
Thank you
monosodium glutamate. a flavour enhancer that gives a savoury umami taste. first used by east asians and popularised in the west by chinese immigrants. you can find it in almost any fast food products and commercial fried food.
@@Anthophyta thank you ☺️
MSG also is added to sauces as a thickener. I eat pretty clean so I notice that when I ate it in the past, it gave me a sore throat, dry lips, and I got very thirsty.
Dr berg please make a video on how to gain wait without eating unhealthy food
Eat more calories than you burn but eat nutritious food.
You could gain weight eating nothing but vegetables and fruit
eat more
Do more, sit less ? ✌🌱
Increase good carbs, I believe he recommends 50 to 60 grams a day
I eat a lot of meat and eggs and salmon with plenty of healthy fats like tallow and butter, and I put on 2kg of muscle in the last 10 months, and I’ve never felt and looked so good in ages.
Yeah, my wife is Asian and she has been telling me about MSG for quite a while now. Bad stuff..
I don’t do MSG or any chemical additives period. I rarely eat out and when I do, I eat really clean. They are trying to make us all fat and sick.
Same here in Japan. It is very hard to find non-additive processed foods.
@@qr5473 Wow…I thought the Japanese eat really clean…fish, vegetables etc?
Using the term “they” makes you sound a little paranoid. Who is they? And what is their motive?
@@qr5473 then don’t buy processed foods. 🙄
@@chefnic4763 that’s what’s called an uninformed opinion.
MSG is labeled as E621 in Europe and sold as Vetsin in Asian supermarkets 🙏🏼
And the folks in Asia aren’t overweight. Except the ones who are starting to turn twrds American fast food brands.
Thank you for the info!
It’s an excitotoxin.
I have been following a ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting daily for the past four years. I’ve been using a spice packet that contains small amount of MSG, which, despite its presence, has had a positive effect on me. It makes me enjoy eggs more, helping me stay consistent with my keto diet. This has worked well for maintaining my dietary routine.
Thank you, i will be on the look out, I can eat and the food seems to be so good, I’ll eat until it’s all gone
Asians eat that every day whole life and they live the longest on earth
Dr. Berg, Please tell me why the FDA still allows MSG in the United States? Most Asian restaurants in the US use MSG and I’m pretty sure that a lot of other restaurants do too. Thank you for all your health research and information.
Love the educational nature of Dr Berg’s videos.
It is not just bunch of recommendations and advices, it actually makes his audience think twice about their choices.
I DEFINITELY Agree!!!!!!!! Ty Dr. BERG 💜
On the rare occasion that I consume Chinese food for dinner, I had found that I would have severe insomnia that night. If I request no added MSG I sleep great. I actually tell the restaurant that I am allergic to MSG ….
So glad someone else noticed this. I’ve always said that this happens to me.
That’s all in your head
Like you’re mama@@rreznor660
I dare not to useMSG any more. Thankful DrBerg for your precious advice. ❤
Most welcome! Thanks for watching!

I am hooked to Dr. Berg’s videos. He’s a gem. Would have never thought to ask this question. Thanks for sharing your insights and research, Dr. Berg!
Don’t we eat MSG everyday? Whether you want to or not?
I can’t ingest MSG for one day without getting a horrendous migraine, so I’m thankful for that
I usually prepare food at home , in the oven ,most of the time.
Yummy !
I’ve been there he’s absolutely correct
