DATA:
High-sugar diets can significantly affect your vitamin B1 levels. A vitamin B1 deficiency can cause fluid retention and lactic acid buildup, which can show up as restless legs syndrome. Many complications associated with diabetes type 1 and type 2 are related to vitamin B1 deficiency.
Vitamin B1, or thiamine, supports a healthy nervous system and the process that turns fuel into usable energy in the body.
Here are some of the warning signs of vitamin B1 deficiency:
•Nervous tension
•Irritability
•Restlessness
•Brain fog
•Air hunger
•Numbness on the bottom of feet and/or fingertips
•Hand tremors
•Confusion
•Low pulse rate
•Personality changes
•Low tolerance to stress
•Loss of coordination
•Headaches
•Constipation
•Insomnia
Allithiamine is a fat-soluble natural form of vitamin B1, which easily permeates the cell membrane and the blood-brain barrier. Benfotiamine is a fat-soluble form of vitamin B1 that may be beneficial for people with blood sugar issues.
Pork, beef, organ meats, eggs, fish, and nuts are the best food sources of vitamin B1. Unfortified nutritional yeast is also a good source.

Thank you for always sharing great truths so plainly ❤
Refined sugar should NOT be a part of a daily diet. Once in a while, at most!
That thing should be banned…its a drug
@@tondematongo32that will neeeeeeever happen in the U.S.
Every time I watch your videos, I learn something new. Thanks for sharing the knowledge Dr. Berg
I appreciate you being honest about your own past eating habits I’m there at this point but I’ve never had the pounding in my ear
Pounding in his ear,
I think he’s just referring to how when he (and I) eat a lot of carbs and junk food, if you are a side sleeper you may notice the ear touching the pillow will hear the heartbeat amplified, like it’s pumping harder and louder due to all the junk food, it’s almost like the body is under attack trying to digest all the junk and the heart beats heavier and sounds louder .
WARNING: This video contains carb addict triggers (pasta, pizza, desserts, cakes, donuts)😂😂😂
I’m one of the junkie 🙁
@@margarethutagalung5280start with small changes and build on it. After a while you lose the addiction to the high sugar and carbs and find yourself actually loving broccoli and cauliflower. Cakes and cookies just aren’t a thing I even want anymore. You can do this; your health is too important not to try. It gets easier!
Let me tell you, that is a very real thing – – for me ! Grocery store shopping is a serious struggle sometimes.
😂
The struggle is Real 🎉

So what?.
He’s gone to college got a doctorate& chiros know far more about how the body/muscle/tissues all work in harmony then a general doctor.
Besides what degree would you like for Dr Berg to have since there isn’t one in vitamins?
He knows his stuff obviously he has millions of followers.
I usually never comment but I saw most of your videos and read comments to them. I have one thing to say, you are a gem!
A ruby perhaps.??
I concur.
I believe Dr. Berg would rather be a mineral… Kyawathuite comes to mind.
He’s incredible! I’ve learned a TON of stuff by watching his videos over the years. The man is such a WEALTH of knowledge!!!
Dr mandell….”the motivational doctor” is also a great doctor….I LOVE BOTH. OF EM…..❤😊🎉
Let’s keep in mind, pharmaceutical companies often make prescriptions to make you crave all of this, I have a family member that was given prednisone, and it caused them intense craving for junk food, not to mention depression. I believe natural supplements and good food, and herbs are the way to go, but the government will never put the study in the forefront so thank you Dr. Berg.
No need for government, and better not have them there, when we can do our own research.
I believe this 100% & they have scientists that create additives that make you cravefoods too. Tack on adictv tendancies & it’s no wonder we have so many health problems
Prednisone makes you super hungry!
@@0004612 I never took that before but beer always made me super hungry even if I had already eaten a meal earlier
This information isn’t even the tip of the iceberg. Incredibly valuable video. Thank-you sir!
Since I eliminated carbs/sugar and started consuming nutritional yeast and more meat, I noticed that my hands are less shaky, I no longer have nerve spasms and random colorful spots in my eyesight, and I feel calmer and less stressed.
Same
So encouraged by hearing what you have overcome in your life. I just thought you were always perfect. Thank you dr. B
Thank you for this! I couldn’t figure out why all this was happening to me for several years. Now at long last I know and can try to get my metabolism back in shape. One year ago I started to slowly come out of the worst brain fog and had gotten so ill and couldn’t figure it out. Now am making many changes that I wish I could have known about earlier. Thank you so much for sharing your vast knowledge of nutrition. There may be hope for many of us yet!
This video really opens up a new perspective on the connection between vitamin B1 and a high sugar diet.
I’ve lost 72 pounds this year using videos by you and Mike Cola and also exercising. Thank you!

I started chewing seven Dr. Berg® nutritional yeast tablets daily. It transformed my life-long struggle with anxiety and allowed me to stop 20+ years of anti-anxiety medications. I have added Allithiamine and Benfotiamine and yes I take Magnesium Glycinate as well which is recommended when taking B1. I purchase from Dr Berg’s website. I’m not being paid for this post. I just want to express my appreciation to Dr Berg for the knowledge and inspiration his videos bring.
This post really opens your eyes to the often-overlooked impact of high-carb diets on vitamin B1 deficiency, and it’s fascinating to see just how deeply sugar and refined carbs can deplete our B1 levels. It explains how seemingly unrelated symptoms—fatigue, sleep issues, even Restless Leg Syndrome—could actually stem from something as simple as lacking vitamin B1. I had no idea about the differences between synthetic and natural B1, or that magnesium is essential to make it work! Thanks for sharing such valuable information on this hidden but important health topic!
I had it all. Benfotiamine was a game changer
If Dr Berg writes a book with all his knowledge on health and nutrition, I will gladly purchase!
But the powers that be will shut it down and we know why
