Ashwagandha is a potent adaptogen that helps you adapt to stress. It’s a cortisol modulator, so if your cortisol levels are too high or too low, ashwagandha can help bring them to normal levels.
Ashwagandha benefits include the following:
•Helps lower cortisol naturally
•Supports sleep
•Improves exercise endurance
•Anti-inflammatory
•Boosts testosterone
•Protects the brain against stress
•Supports hormones, including the thyroid hormone
•Anti-cancer properties
Siberian ginseng is beneficial for mood and physical endurance but does not compare to ashwagandha’s hormone-balancing effects. Panax ginseng is also helpful for exercise endurance and cognitive function, but ashwagandha is better at dealing with stress-related anxiety, especially when dealing with a chronic problem.
Rhodiola is good for stamina and is a natural energy booster, but doesn’t reduce stress or anxiety. Holy basil helps calm the body and improves sleep, but ashwagandha has more benefits.
Matcha root improves energy and sexual function, but ashwagandha has these benefits plus more stress-reducing benefits. Reishi mushrooms improve cognitive and immune function and also provide a calming effect, but unlike ashwagandha, they don’t affect cortisol.
Ashwagandha has a comprehensive cortisol regulation effect and can help people with chronic cortisol stimulation and the problems associated with it.
Ashwagandha is best taken in the evening with your last meal. It’s also beneficial to cycle your ashwagandha use. Try using it for 6 weeks at a time, followed by a 2-week break.

Been taking it for years…one of the best natural remedies. When I saw the title of your video Dr. I was worried you were going to tell me to stop taking it. Lmao😂❤❤
Hello there, thanks for reaching out. Very glad it is working for you. Keep doing well!
I have been using it for long time, ashwagandha excellent for anxiety
where you got it bro? Like which company?
Id like to know brand as well, tried a few and felt nothing
During the day take it with SAMe for stress. At night take gaba and L-Tryptophan.
Dr. Berg’s Ashwagandha supplement is well worth trying!
Thanks for sharing this. Any other benefits you have noticed?
I have been using ashwagandha from 4 years it’s great for stress and recovery 🎉thanks 🙏
Thank you for mentioning it helps with recovery. That’s really good to know.
I started using Ashwagandha 6 weeks ago and I love it. It calms my stress levels down so that I do not marinate in my problems. I am still aware of what my problems are but I no longer have them on a constant loop racing around my brain.
Thank you for the positive comment.🎉❤ Lots of folks on here talking about bad dreams and nightmares from ASHWAGANDHA so it’s nice to hear a positive outcome😅🎉
What brand do u use? Is it ksm 66?
I found this at Dollar general in the dollar aisle😅
I’m going to purchase the one that Dr Berg has advertised.
I’ve been using it for 3 months now. It’s been a game changer for me. ❤
In what way?
@_lmagine I had really bad anxiety, and I don’t anymore. I don’t use it everyday though as prolonged use makes me numb. So I take breaks from taking it now.
When you stop taking it. Do you get withdrawal symptoms? @@dil321
Ashwagandha saved me from going on SSRI. I was chronically stressed, high pulse, anxiety, panicky etc. High stress work and lots of old trauma, my body just couldn’t relax. Any sugar or caffeine would send me into a panic attack. Then this… wow! All of a sudden I walked in to work CALM, felt so grounded, at peace. Nature’s Valium but better. Recommend to anyone with similar symptoms.
Dosage and brand please!
Same comment as the one before please
That’s me every morning! My muscles are so stiff from old stress and new stress. Thank you for the recommendation.
It’s also toxic
@@sharpeshootr212Any brand works. Use the dosage on the bottle.
I take 175mg of Ashwaganda, 1000 Rhodiola, 1500mg Gotu Kola and 500mg Magnesium glycinate 2 times a day. It has been a game changer during menopause
Thanks for this cause this perimenopause is driving me nuts 😫
11.29.2024
@@adventureswithadrienneI found that during menopause I would feel much better and NOT have heat issues/ HOT FLASHES, as long as I stayed AWAY FROM SUGAR.😮🎉😅
Look into DIM
So that’s a total of 1000mg of magnesium Glycinate right ? I would also think you do 500mg early in the day and 500mg In the evening ?
what amazing timing. I recently found a bottle of liquid ashwagandha and I’ll be taking it again after seeing just how amazing this adaptogen. Thanks for reading my mind!
I HAVE TO WARN PEOPLE!!! ASHWAGANDHA IS A NIGHTSHADE! You may have sensitivities to nightshades and not know it. Maybe you’ve never stressed your system. But then you add Ashwagandha to your daily nightshade intake, and it’s too much.
THAT is what happened to me! A Naturopath had me on 2 g Ashwagandha daily. After a mere 3 months, my health had mysteriously deteriorated. It would take another year and many many diagnostic tests before a gastroenterologist would suggest that he sees that kind of damage in people with nightshade sensitivities.
Then another THREE YEARS to clear most mystery symptoms (10 years later still not 100%).
THE THING IS THAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW YOU HAVE AN ISSUE UNTIL YOU HAVE AN ISSUE.
This exact same thing is happening with my 22 year old daughter. I bought it for her because she has anxiety, and not 4 years later, after seeing 5 cardiologists amongst other specialists, she is still dealing with heart issues. But all the doctors said she’s healthy her test comes back normal, she has not been the same since taking this indian herb.

Because you are taking herb without taking to ayurvedic Dr.
That’s means people using our own body as a test subject
Holy crap, I did not know that. Thank you so much for this info, because I was about to buy some next week again.
I suffer from autoimmune issues, that makes me sensitive to a very large group of foods. With nightshades being one of them, I still get very sick off potatoes and paprika.
Yeah so I might have to ax, ashwagandha off my list then. How are things like holy basil, ginseng and rhodiola? Are they part of any unsafe food group or contain oxalates?
I’ve been taking it for years. It makes me have a good mood and makes problem solving easy.
I was taking it in the mornings and it made me feel and a bit fatigued so I stopped taking it. I also noticed that I was more calm and less anxious and had more clarity. I will try taking it at bedtime. Thanks Dr Berg!! ❤
It’s better taken at night for winding down and rest 🤍
Ashwagandha in Ayurveda has a very specific preparation. I have never seen an Ayurveda doctor (Vaidya) prescribe Ashwagandha the way we take it in the West.
What way do they prescribe it?
I live in India and I have been using it for over three decades with great benefit. I am 86 and in good health. Dr Matthew a distinguished oncologist used it food over four decades and prescribed it to his patients.
@@bmniac so you mean ashwagandha for cancer?
@@bmniac How do you use it? How much? Thanks

Take ashwagandha with milk at night and 2 to 3 months break
I feel absolutely no effect of Ashwagandha. But L-theanine is a game changer for me in managing stress. I feel calm and reduced anxiety within 30 minutes of taking L-theanine.
L theanine is my favorite too!
Maybe change the brand? Also, have you tried using his videos on anxiety, on the correct b1, magnesium glycinate, etc.
Is L theanine natural ?????
I feel more relaxed from ashwaganda but more clear and chill with l-theanine. If I had to choose I pick l theanine. Think it’s less down side too
U should also try lions mane, it’s like theanine++
I voted for Dr. Berg in RFK’s MAHA consultants. Dr. Berg videos should be played on a loop on a megatron in the CDC
I had a lot of stress, I had severe damage on my house because of a autumn storm, but a good bicycle ride in the woods helped me enormous ❤❤
I’ve been taking it for maybe 5 years, 18 teaspoon every night with milk, I’m 64 years old , female , and I can say I have noticed a calming , and was able to unexpectedly take care of my parents at my house and able to get through both of their deaths without heavy grieving , Ashwagandha and prayer, I believe has gotten me through a very difficult season in my life .
🫂
I just placed my order🎉
I found this product believe it or not at Dollar general in their dollar aisle😅.
That was about a year ago and I really liked it and I recommended it and thank you for the reminder.
I’ve used it more than 2 years 2 times per day. It really helps with constant strong stress and calms your nerves.
As someone who has had a lot of anxiety later in my life as my physical exercise diminished, which led me to being diagnosed with ADHD and Autism, Ashwagandha has been the only thing that has helped my anxiety. I’ve been through the process of trying medications and therapy to deal with trauma and anxiety/depression, I stopped all prescription medication after cycling Ashwagandha (Typically a month to start then 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off). Might be worth a try, as well as looking at potential B vitamin deficiency (Especially thiamine and B12). Great info as always Dr. Greatly appreciated for those of us who have needed to “figure out” what’s been causing us grief when it comes to our health. Cheers!
Did you take SSRI for depression ?How Aswaghanda helped your depression after medication ? How much you take and timing ? Please elaborate a little
I’m very sensitive to Ashwagandha and I took it for a couple weeks and already felt a tolerance to it and would have needed to take a higher dose to have the same effect. And I didn’t like that so I just stopped it cold turkey and had withdrawal symptoms!! I don’t think I’ll ever take Ashwagandha again.
