Let’s talk about the best natural things to do for advanced liver disease. The liver goes through stages, which may start with inflammation, develop into a fatty liver, and then turn into cirrhosis (scar tissue).

On average, it takes about ten years to go from having a fatty liver to having cirrhosis. In many cases, during that process, there are no symptoms of a liver problem.

However, the liver is very robust. It’s one of the only organs that can completely regenerate. But, there is a point of no return. So, it’s crucial to act now if you're trying to reverse fatty liver disease.

The best things to do for advanced liver disease:
1. Get into autophagy
2. Start fasting
3. Take TUDCA
4. Trigger phase 1 and phase 2 detoxification
5. Consume milk thistle
6. Take tocotrienols

  1. 1. Thank you for this very helpful information, Dr. Berg! 👍
    2. Can lifestyle ADF compensate for a person who imbibes regularly?
    3. I’m 64, eat healthy & exercise daily.

    • I started taking milk thistle around 2003.

From around 2008 until around 2011 I drank for effect on a nightly basis. As in, at least twelve beers a night, enough to get me warm and toasty and quite intoxicated. I had a regular regimen of supplements that I would take in order to minimize damage and speed up recovery. I had very mild hangovers.

I’m fairly certain that taking proactive measures to minimize or mitigate liver damage made a huge difference. I’m 53 and in relatively good health for someone who drank to excess recreationally and was a heavy smoker when he was younger. (I quit smoking about 7 or 8 years ago. Before that I would smoke two or three packs a day.)

    • Consider that a baseline healthy liver might best be considered when totally devoid of poisons and just allowed to get on with it’s main functions. However ADF (ADF = Airport Duty Free perhaps?) or even AFDs will reduce the burden on the liver and allow it to recover somewhat, however better to imbibe other liquids more regularly than booze. I respectfully suggest that it will not compensate but just be less-bad. Happy Christmas. 🍷🍷🍷

  2. Great information regarding our vital organ called liver.
Your videos are like blessings as I have reduced my 20 kg weight in five months through IF with hypothyroidism not with complete keto. I have left sugars, processed and junk foods. Feeling young, light footed and energetic.
    Great job to serve humanity.
    Regards

  3. Eating from 2pm to 6pm helps tremendously. I also stopped dairy which cured my prostate pain. I also stopped all caffeine and most sweets. I still eat normally. I drink lemonade, water, orange juice and tea after 11am. Do stretching and a little exercise. Sleep from 11pm to 7am in 70F air temp. Feel much better. Thanks for the information. I have much more to do but the 2-6pm eating rules.

  4. 1:56 The best things to do for advanced liver disease:
    • Autophagy
    • Fasting: regular intermittent fasting (18-6) and especially periodic prolonged fasting (for example 48 hours of fast once a week or fast for a week once a month)
    • TUDCA: take two on an empty stomach in the morning and two in the afternoon on an empty stomach
    • Induce/trigger phase 1 and phase 2 detoxification
    • Consume milk thistle
    • Take tocotrienols: which is a type of vitamin E

    Thank you Dr. Berg
    Sincerely, 11 : 11 Meditation Portal Channel

  5. I’m 5 weeks into a 3 day fast an exercise program inspired by your post’s, I’m 12kg lighter and my liver has stopped hurting. Thanks so much as I’ve been a cronic Alcoholic for 38 years and this is saving my life as I wasn’t going to last much longer.

  6. I’m witnessing fasting has a huge health benefit in addition to its spiritual rewards which I believe. As an Ethiopian orthodox follower we do practice fasting for 252 days within which 180 obligatory fasting days in different months of a year. We do fasting 15 hrs a day for 5 days a week and during this fasting we do not eat any animals and animal products of any kind; we eat vegetables and grains. So it helps a lot.
Thank you and God bless you, your entire family and your professionalism Dr. Berg

    Thank you Dr Berg! 🐱👍🏿

  8. Years ago I loosely followed a liver detox regimen that included using a hot or cold compress with a washcloth soaked in castor oil held against the belly over the liver for short periods daily. I think it was supposed to help release any backed up, clogged or stuck bile salts that were blocking the bile ducts. I forget all the details but I remember having to find the right oil and buying a rubber water bottle that could take hot or cold water for the compress.

Also olive oil, acv and lemon juice were supposed to help soften up any impacted bile, or something like that.

  9. I love Dr Berg and I know he loves Keto but my liver got totally messed up on keto and I was only able to fix it by dramatically reducing dietary fat intake this also helped my gallbladder which was giving me pain.

Tudca is a godsend as well

    • @💖Verónica💖 hepatic steatosis I believe they called it. It was fatty, despite me being underweight. Had high liver enzymes and poor bile flow.

I came from never having a health issue to having all these problems when I tried Keto and I’ve been trying to get my gallbladder working since

    • @PowerOfMe I wasn’t on Accutane, but this integrative dr put me on synthetic vitamin a for over a year which now I know is pretty much Accutane. My life is not the same, I’m having all kinds of health issues, way worse than I had with hashimotos, and I don’t know what to do. I pretty much have all of the horrible effects of vitamin a toxicity. I feel like trying tudca, but not sure if my liver or pancreas is more of the concern.

  10. You’ve gotta be kidding me, I was diagnosed with a fatty liver just an hour ago and at the same time Dr. Berg uploaded a fix to it! Thank you!

  11. Thanks, Doc. My Mother’s liver cancer, once diagnosed, took her very quickly, and she basically exhibited little to no symptoms, even though she was also facing lung cancer, as well. I try to cover all the bases, when it comes to my own health, and pay particular attention to those health challenges that both my parents were facing at the ends of their lives. I also know how genetics can play a part in all our health challenges, so I pay particular attention to almost everything, and I guess I always have, anyway. Tudca is on my list, although spell check changed bile salt to bike salt, and you helped me today, as I wondered why the heck did I need bike salt for?…lmao, but now I know…lol, and have changed it back to bile…lol, but also, some of these things are rarely shelved ‘round here in the Plains, unless one ventures to the bigger cities….lol….or online, like your shop, and I don’t usually order online, but will sometimes have my son do it for me…lol, paying him because he does it all the time…lol. I’ll add some more to my list and cross it all off as I find it all along the way. Have a great weekend, Doc. 🌻

  12. I’m doing all of these + more and developed most of my protocol from info from the good doc himself. Thank you Dr Berg.

  13. Dr Berg, you saved my life. Stage 3 to stage 1 liver disease, diagnosed and tested. I followed your protocol for 7 months and it worked. Jogging everyday helps along with exercise. I stand with you and God bless everything you do!

  14. Great channel, I get all the releases daily. The main thing I have learned is, understand the hormones and chemistry of the body, then you can understand nutrition. Thanks Dr. Berg! 🙂

  15. Why I love Dr Berg, bc he teaches us all to look at our body and understand just why, how and what to do to reverse and fix the vital organs! Once you make the effort to heal your liver you will be rewarded with an energy level you haven’t seen since you were 20. All courtesy of this man on the video. Thanks Dr. Berg, you actually saved my life!

  18. I know a young man that comes to my juice bar who was told that he was going to die because he destroyed his liver with binge drinking in college. His mother from Norway told him to drink 32 oz of celery juice everyday and he completely regenerated his liver in 6 months.

  19. Life is short… But life is also very long. Especially when you live in suffrage due to poor health.
