5:38 Learn more about the brain!
Today, I’m going to teach you how to build up the most important neurotransmitter in your brain: acetylcholine.
Acetylcholine is involved in the following:
• Memory
• Learning ability
• Sleep
• Attention
• Focus
• Alertness
• Awakeness
A deficiency in acetylcholine can lead to many different health issues. A common side effect of medications that are anticholinergic is a loss of memory, possibly because they create a deficiency in acetylcholine.
Low acetylcholine is common in certain conditions, including:
• Autism
• Alzheimer’s disease and dementia
• MS
• Parkinson’s disease
The best foods to increase acetylcholine:
1. Egg yolks
2. Beef liver
3. Blueberries
The top nutrients to boost acetylcholine:
1. Vitamin B5
2. Zinc
3. Magnesium
4. Manganese
5. Omega-3 fatty acids
6. A phytonutrient in green tea
Supplements to increase acetylcholine (take one or the other, not both):
1. Citicoline
2. Alpha-GPC
Other ways to take advantage of the benefits of acetylcholine:
• Drink coffee
• Get plenty of sleep
• Support healthy insulin levels

Well, that’s good, I’ve been chewing on Anise seeds mixed with Fennel seeds and Milk Thistle seeds to prime my liver for meals, especially whenever I do a prolonged fast. Anise has a pretty good amount of carbs, so that’s helpful.
Thank you!
It’s my pleasure! Happy to know you found the post useful.
Wow this is so interesting. The last part about just the natural amount of insulin your body produces really opened my mind to something. Thanks Dr.Berg!
Thx Doc! Very interesting about the energy from insulin. Also I always wondered about choline and acetylcholine from years ago. Wasn’t sure about them (before everyday computers).
Vinpocetine is one of the most powerful memory enhancers ever also! Works on Acetylcholine, adrenalin and serotonin. Also a powerful glucose regulator, especially in the brain!
You do so much good for the community with these intelligently informative videos on the human body. Health is incredibly important to me, and countless others. Applied Knowledge Breeds Wisdom.

I have been learning a lot from your videos. One problem solved my Vit D deficiency. This video is another eye-opener for me. Keep up the good work many many Thanks!
You’re very welcome! Glad you found the videos helpful.
what’s the “one problem” you’re referring to?
Half cup of blueberries, preferably frozen wild, a day… for a month or so, you can really see the improvement in memory. I tried it! Zinc is in sunflower seeds and if you eat it regularly, within a few days, you can feel vitality jump a notch. I put a table spoon full on my salad or on my oats.
GM Dr Berg, another very good topic on brain development. Thanks so very much . Hopefully mothers that have children with Autism would benefit from this information , instead of medication. Thanks .
Thank You again Dr. Eric Berg always love your videos full of useful information.

Thank you, Dr. Berg. That was very informative; luckily, I have already been doing most of what you explained in the video.
Thanks very much Dr Berg . Informative video and brilliant explanation from a brilliant doctor
I increased my acetylcholine by increasing my B1 and B5. I did Elliott Overton’s protocol for IBS constipation and omg all my memories started coming back. It was crazy.
